Ugh, Google's customer service is a total joke! All the replies are straight-up bots, and it legit drives me nuts when I need help.

Unhelpful and patronising

Repeated issues with a fitbit versa 4. Customer service staff were actively unhelpful and patronising. Beyond unhelpful. If there were another way to seek support I would take it.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars, I would.

I ordered two new protect fire alarms from Google. These are advertised with a 10 year lifespan. But when they arrived their expiry date was only 2 years away, so I returned them. More than 3 weeks later I’m still waiting for my refund. I contacted their support and was transferred to 5 people, I asked to speak to a manager who has still yet to resolve this issue. They have confirmed my devices were received on 23rd October, but nobody has “checked” them yet so they’re refusing to give my money back. This is just disgusting service, it’s not my problem that they have not checked them yet. I am now having to go via my credit card company to pursue my money. This company is just a joke, don’t buy from them, they’ll only discontinue their products and leave you in the lurch anyway.

There is no customer support

There is no customer support. I have been charged twice every month for a year for my YouTube tv services. I have called many time over months, and it keeps wanting to text me their support instructions which are useless. When it finally transfers me to speak with a representative a recorded message says that their customer support is down and will be back up soon (for months). They are SO big they don't need to talk to their customers. Shame on you. I have cancelled anything I had from your company that is paid, and will be mindful to never spend another dime with you. (For my businesses as well).

Set myself up with a business listing

Set myself up with a business listing, then they want a video to get verified showing my business premises. I am a mobile Personal Trainer, and have no business premises. However there is no way you can contact Google Support, they have no contact details, or phone number. Anyway I thought I would try to make a video of me training a client, and some of my equipment. So when I clicked record video, I just get one of those QR code boxes which I don't know anything about. Totally useless company, that can't be bothered to support people who are having problems using their services.

My email got hacked

No live support for home users, not like they would help you anyway. The account recovery sucks, since I get no further questions if you’ve seen “please don’t skip any questions” in google support tips, what questions??? So the account was hacked on November 7th and the person has changed my password, removed my phone number and added a parent email, but the thing is I had a recovery email connected before it got changed, when I try other options and put in that recovery email it does send me a code! But I just doesn’t matter since the parent email is there, and the stupid AI can’t do anything about that. I have my recent password saved, my name, my device and home internet which I used to log in with but that doesn’t matter to the account recovery since everything is just AI dominated. Why can’t we get live support like Ubisoft and Microsoft that actually checks your account and solves the problem in less than a day. Goggle does not care about private users. The community doesn’t help a bit either, they can just provide Information on what to do, I want a live agent to take matters into their hands. Atrocious service since there is none!

I would give them a zero but can't

I would give them a zero but can't. This is the worst experience with customer service. This has to do with google pay. Google after all these years needed to verify my payment account. I, at first, thought the email was a scam until my NFL and You Tube tv was paused. It took over five weeks, four phone calls, numerous online requests, emails, and attempts at chats. I was disconnected so many times and then had to be put on hold with them repeating "We are currently experiencing long wait times. Unfortunately our agents... over and over again. When they finally verified my account, they charged me for two months of service I didn't even have. I am now locked into NFL contract and if I don't continue with YouTUbe tv, I still have to pay for NFL. Basically, they can violate the contract, but I am held to it. Shame on Google and YouTube tv!!! Once out of this contract, I will never get their service again for television.

After 3 years still not resolved

After 3 years of trying to get Google support to fix my family payment issue they have still not fixed it. They keep passing me off to other departments who just go around in circles. I don't think anyone knows what they are doing in that company.

Google support is shit

Google support is the most fcked-up and shitty service in the world. They have absolutely no idea what they’re doing or how to actually get what you need. They just run you in circles, hoping you’ll get tired, give up, and fck off. Not only is their service itself dumb, inconvenient, and unintuitive, but their support team literally can’t do ANYTHING at all.

If zero was an option I would be rating them a zero. I've been waiting for a replacement phone for weeks. Every time I contact Google support I get the same people or the same sounding people and they just seem like they're reading from a script. They say the exact same things. I've had no update as to where my replacement phone is. This is absolutely ridiculous

Keeping customers happy is not a priority

I sent my Google Pixel phone back to Google due to a common fault and screen turning green. I had just put a brand new screen protector on my phone. I was sent a refurbished phone, not my old one. I requested very politely a new screen protector as they took my brand new one with my phone. I was happy with a reimbursement or a cheap one from their website. They told me no problem they would send me one and then changed their mind and said no. I thought this would have been a simple and cheap way for them to keep a customer happy but they refused several times. For a massive company like Google, I thought that was very poor and was disappointed.

Misleading Google One support – Case 6/9571000039162

Avoid Google and its services.

I tried to renew my Google One 200GB plan, but Google refused to process payment despite valid card data.

Their agent Lisa advised me to cancel unrelated subscriptions (Telegram Premium, Avast) just to change my country (like that was the only way to proceed with payment), then confirmed a wrong case number and ended the call.

Previous agent via chat assured me that "everything was fine, no need to worry".
Follow-up emails ignored my questions and sent irrelevant privacy-policy templates.
Their Indian support is an absolute joke.

Payment eventually succeeded after updating card manually – no ‘country change’ needed. Support agent gave false instructions.

Google shipped a phone to my old address (not updating shipping address when I changed my billing address) and is doing absolutely nothing to help me. FedEx wont deal with me since I am not the shipper, and google support chat is unbelievably slow and unhelpful.

Base on my experience this company is helpful at first I'm having a hard time to use it. The technique of using their services is to read every on the pages the answer is their Infront of you. If you are having a hard time watch the tutorial videos on YouTube. It will help you 💯. Even me I go through that pace. Im lazy to read stuff. But now I can do basic trouble shooting on my phone or even in my laptop. Just read it carefully you will discover a lot of things in this company or software.

Misleading information

I contacted google repair service chat regarding a phone which I was clear that I bought outside UK and I need to replace the screen, the lady over the chat confirmed that I can repair in EE, and advised the nearest branch with same day repairs around 75 minutes, found out no same day service there, then the repair center refused to repair few days after dropping my phone at local branch and receiving upfront payment, contacted google again and explained the whole story that my phone is not a UK, confirming that I am aware no warranty but I wish to use authorized trusted service, got back to me on the next day saying no warranty you can repair anywhere, like this is a new info, again yes this is exactly what I said no warranty but I wish to find authorized service, received a rude reply this is a US model and we don't repair in the UK, I hope you understand
This is so rude, not at any point they said it won't be repaired, they just wasted my time talking to them and visiting EE branches as they are not aware of their policies.
Then being mean to me as I am not aware of their policies which they never stated clearly at any point of communication, how dare anyone tell a customer I hope you understand, do he even know my qualifications
