They have gone downhill fast
They have gone downhill fast. Really disappointing experience. I’d bought the F1 thyme green Brad Pitt sweatshirt a week ago, having been on the mailing list for it for ages. I placed my order as soon as I got the notification. Order placed within a minute. I have just had an email that they have a ‘stock shortage’ and can’t send mine it. Very poor. I fear they have got too big and the service and quality has deteriorated way beyond what it used to be. I won’t ever buy from here again. I would recommend Orlebar Brown for those others looking to switch brands. Always had impeccable service from them. Sunspel could learn a thing or two.
dirt on clothes
received items with dust and hair on them... chatted with customer service, they didn't offer any solution. returns are not free.
Sunspel used to produce high quality
Sunspel used to produce high quality, premium clothing. However, in the past 5 years the quality of materials and finishing has dropped to a very poor standard, to a level of high street brands. Waste of money.
All round quality
I’ve shopped with Sunspel on a number of occasions and never had any cause for concern. I’m delighted with the quality of the products but occasionally when one hasn’t fitted properly and needed to be returned, I found the process swift and painless. Refunds are made within the promised time frame.
Appaling…
After first delicate washing according to instruction the 200 € polo shirt shrunk, lost color and form. Appaling rib off. Good ads though but no quality garnments
Avoid and avoid their Riviera Polo…
Avoid and avoid their Riviera Polo shirts
DO NOT BUY because of the following.
I took Sunspels advice and washed at 30 degrees and still it shrunk by a whole size and what’s worse, it shortened in length by at least 3 inches- Wrote to customer services on the 28th May - No response as of 6th June ( today as I write this review ) I am now going to take this to trading standards.
Sunspel’s scam
Sunspel’s customer service is an absolute scam and utterly unprofessional. I followed their exact instructions to return a jacket for a size exchange, but they claim they never received the package despite FedEx confirming delivery. Months later, I’m left with no jacket, no refund, and no resolution. Their team keeps dodging responsibility, asking me to chase the delivery company instead of handling it themselves. It’s clear they have no intention of making things right. Save your money and avoid this sham of a company—terrible experience from start to finish.
Excellent quality clothing
Excellent quality clothing. Never had any problems.
Beware before you buy…..
Beautiful garments that develop holes in the very first wash. Spent £500, followed care instructions - infact even chose the hand wash function - and holes appeared on the pyjama waistband. Was told that the Product Director had looked at the photos and decided it was my fault rather than faulty garment. Offered 10% discount. This is absolutely no way to handle a customer, absolutely appalled by Sunspel and will never buy again.
Poor Customer Service
Very surprised and disappointed at the shocking level of customer service from Sunspel. I’ve purchased a few items from them over the last 12 months. Unfortunately, recently I had to request a return of a faulty item. It’s been over 2 weeks since I sent an email with no response. The phones are not answered and social media messages are not replied to. It feels like a company going out of business. I’m not making any further purchases until I get some kind of response from them.
Poor Quality Classic T- Shirts
I've purchased several of the Sunspel Classic T- Shirts and they've all ripped beneath the lower arm in exactly the same place. The sizing is correct and not overly tight, but the material used is far too thin and not fit for purpose. The T- Shirts were washed according to laundry label instructions. I've returned one of them and Sunspel have not refunded or, offered a replacement. No explanation either. The T-Shirts are £90 a pop, so I'm not remotely impressed.
Great Customer Service
Ordered a hoody and matching shorts, needed to exchange items for a different size, it happens sometimes. Frances in customer services was excellent throughout the returns process. Made a possible negative experience a positive one!
Great shopping experience
Today I visited the Jermyn Street store and really enjoyed shopping there. The assistant was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and she helped me pick out a nice colour in their classic T- shirt range as well as a polo shirt. Would definitely recommend as the range of clothing is great and so too is the service.
I bought two super fine cotton vests…
I bought two super fine cotton vests from Sunspel recently.
They are not of the same quality as the regular vests. I thought Sunspel were doing some kind of a promotion, but actually all they were doing was the usual rip off where you pretend that you're offering the same goods, but they're not the same. Very bad, black mark Sunspel. I've been buying your vests for ages and I don't appreciate being cheated.
just bought a Unstructured Blazer
just bought a Unstructured Blazer
Colour: Navy, on their website they describe it as 98% cotton and 2% elastane, i thought basically super breathable, but it turns out the sleeves are lined with polyester, feels like wearing a piece of plastic. So basically misinformative website.
Quality OK/Very small
Quality OK, super small clothing sizes and the fit almost rides up to a cropped look.
Personally, I can’t see how these jumpers are double the price of someone like reiss and triple the price of a Uniqlo. I paid £100 for a loop back sweatshirt. It’s super small and slim fitting. Sent back (which I had to pay for)
178cm / 72kg male, ordered a large. Usually I’m large/medium.
Great customer service
Huge Disappointment From a Former Old Favourite
Delivery Failure.
Order UK-5000 and DPD Reference 15508002112969
I write this with huge sadness and great disappointment. Only a matter of days after leaving Sunspel a 10/10 review, (I have been wearing Sunspel for over 60 years), Sunspel let me down.
On Saturday, and yesterday, I bought a few items from my local store, (Duke of York Square Chelsea London); and yesterday morning I bought some items, including a birthday present for my son for tomorrow. I requested that the stuff I bought online yesterday be delivered to my Cotswolds home.
Regrettably Sunspel used the legendary unhelpful DPD as its preferred delivery company. Despite my housekeeper being in, DPD failed to wait for her to answer the door. It then failed to leave the parcel with my neighbour, in accordance with my standing instructions to DPD; it failed to leave the parcel in my garage, again in accordance with my standing instructions to DPD; but it did leave the parcel at a collection point locally, as my standing instructions to DPD stipulate. For reasons known only to DPD it then returned to the local collection point and collected the parcel. DPD then took the parcel to its Gloucester depot.
I contacted DPD and it refused to deliver the parcel, even though it contains a birthday present for tomorrow. DPD refused to discuss any details and instructed me to contact Sunspel.
Upon any construction this is unreasonable and extremely disappointing service. From DPD it is expected; its service is generally unacceptably inferior to others. From Sunspel such conduct is entirely unexpected; though hugely disappointing. Wish I’d shopped at Orlebar Brown.
