Sub-standard product and customer service

I ordered a personalised cushion which was printed as I ordered but per their example photograph. When it arrived, I saw immediately that is was grammatically incorrect (apostrophe missing), as does everyone else who sees the product. Their response was “we like to leave it to personal choice” - no accountability, no offer to reprint at cost. Needless to say, it has been an embarrassment gifting something with a blatant error on it. Have sent 2 emails since to try and reach solution and have been flatly ignored. That is not how to deal with customers or market your products!

I purchased a keepsake box from…

I purchased a keepsake box from Sunday's Daughter as an anniversary gift. The box is of substandard quality. The wooden box is made out of orange crate box type wood which was received in an unfinished condition and will need varnishing. The hinges and catch are of a very low quality and the hinges were not aligned correctly. I doubt this box could be possibly made any cheaper. You can buy a similar quality product on ebay for less than £20.00. I opted to purchase a box for £35.00 from Sunday's Daughter as their website looked very professional and communication with them was at first responsive.
I contacted the seller who offered me a 25% discount but I declined as this would not cover the cost of the varnish & new hinges catch etc to make the box a presentable gift. The seller then stopped communicating with me and was ignoring my emails. It was only when I advised them that I would contact Paypal that they advised me to send the item back using a non trackable postal service to receive a refund. I did not think this is the correct way to send the item back as I would have had no proof of delivery and did not trust the seller from this point on. I decided to contact Paypal and asked them to deal with this claim under Paypal's buyer protection policy and they decided in my favour. Whilst Sunday's Daughter may look like a professional company including lots of fancy coloured leaflet cards included with the item, the actual quality of the product was substandard and was not fit to give as a gift. I definitely will not be purchasing from them again.
