Sumdog used to be good until they completely revamped the system and added a whole bunch of rubbish games. It doesn't get updated often enough and has very little games with terrible graphics. It... See more

Sumdog has gotten prohibitive
Ok so I’m saying this about a recent Sumdog update. They’ve, from what I’ve heard, made entering a competition as a class (I only have 16 classmates) over £150! For a digital maths game, it shouldn’t even be making you spend over £10, let alone £150+ for a few pupils! And if you do sign up, what’s your reward: oh, nothing more than a couple of coins and a 3D item to put in your house. This goes against the point of a cheap maths game (aka the whole point of the game).
Frustrating!
The timer on the games make it so frustrating for wee ones who just don’t take the time to read the questions and just press any answer. Please remove the timer otherwise they don’t learn anything. Also why does it reset the scores every month?? Argh!!
THIS GAME is not fair it took many…
THIS GAME is not fair it took many months for me to be able to get the 100% accuracy badge when i had already gotten 100% on many games and.. when i got 9 seconds on a game i was not put on the leaderboard when i should have been on it but yet all of the other people i know are getting on leaderboards and getting badges.
Best app ever!
Best app ever!! I love playing this app it is so much I love playing all the games and customizing my character. The game is such a great way to learn maths. Much better than Sparx and Mark Dixon the bumraper. Best game ever, I recommend this!
What happened to the games?
What happened to the games? I want them back!
Scam! Avoid!
I clicked through from a Facebook ad to take up a free trial lasting over two months. On clicking through I was asked to create an account, and part of this asked for payment information - but clearly stated this was for the end of the trial period and I would not yet be charged. My banking app alerted me to a charge immediately, which I declined. I was unable to sign up for the free trial without authorising that payment (for £5.99).
10/10
10/10. School provided app. Great simple games that intwine learning and automatic progress reports. This app makes learning fun. Don’t be put off by whinging reviews from others. I’ve used this with my 7 yo son for all of covid lockdown. He loves it.

I saw an ad and thought my child would be interested in it but since it was late and he was already in bed I started the trial period which included putting my credit card information in. The following morning I showed him Sumdog and he told me that he'd never use it. After the trial period I was then charged for a monthly subscription. I tried to email customer support and request a refund since we had never used the service and was told by an agent that I have to remove their name from this review because sumdog doesn't like their staff being accountable; the following:
Hi Amanda, I'm afraid that we are not in a position to be able to refund memberships once purchased.
I can confirm that you have successfully cancelled and will not be charged going forward.
Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish: signed up, got no confirmation email, couldn’t log on. So tried a different email address. This time I managed to log on and set up an account for my daughter, but when she tried to use the app (on several devices) it didn’t work, even with re downloading and restarting the devices. So I cancelled it.
Fast forward to today, not only do I get charged for my account that I cancelled, I get charged for the one I couldn’t even access and set up in the first place! When I contacted sumdog about this their response was basically ‘tough’. Rubbish app and appalling customer service. 100% do not recommend. Would be 0 stars.

bad games, gad graphics
bad games, bad graphics l want some new games witch has 3d backgrounds ...etc.
Good Concept, Disappointing Delivery.
I signed up to the free trial thinking it may be good for my two home educated minions, thta the would learn something new. Unfortunately it seems to be a series of tests with a question and answer basis throughout everything. Even the "games" are question and answer format. If the child does not understand the concept of what is being asked there is nothing there of substance to explain any of it, therefore there is no "learning"... They just click answers randomly to guess and hope they get the right answer that way.
We'll stick with Prodigy.
