I placed Order #JCS16221922 on December 4, 2024, and even taking into account not shipping outside of business hours, it's been a little over 6 days since the order (despite claiming that orders would take 3 to 5 business days to complete). Even considering potential shipping delays and other legitimate issues that could potentially impede timely fulfillment, there has been no communication at all. Which is why I recently sent an email stating that should my order either not be fulfilled and shipped or properly refunded by December 20, 2024, then I would look at getting my bank (credit union) involved.

I placed an order 11/26 for the advent calendar and it still hasn't even been FULFILLED. I knew it wouldn't arrive December 1st, but I expected it to be here by the end of the first week of December as per their fulfillment and shipping time (I got express shipping too!). I have emailed customer service 3 days ago about it not being shipped yet and still haven't received a response. I have reached out via their website and text - still nothing. This company took $170 from me and do not even have the decency to respond to a question.
Do not waste your time or money here.
Right now they claim that if you place an order by December 7th you'll get the stuff by Christmas - I highly doubt that since I probably won't even get mine by then despite it only supposed to have taken a week. This is really disappointing since I have had my eye on their stuff for years and I finally was able to afford to purchase from them and I am just getting radio silence. I may have to cancel the order and try to find a new advent calendar last minute because this is just ridiculous.

Please, do NOT order. Ordered the ADVENT calendar for my daughter's birthday on September 27th. When ordering was told that it would ship in early October. Almost a month later my money is gone and the calendar did NOT ship. My order states they will ship with DHL to USA, but they switched it to USPS and there is no way to track anything because it has been in a "pre-transit" phase for almost a week. Customer service is useless, repeatng the same unhelpful things. It is just a scam, STAY AWAY!

Huge scam. Shipping is insane compared to most websites and now there’s a $40 threshold to checkout. Never buying anything from them again until they lift the threshold. Japan candy store never does this bs they’re a lot better and way more affordable.

Unfortunately my experience has not been great. Shipping was not to long a wait unlike some reviews, a few weeks. My issues is that they clearly have not thought about the best way to actually ship the items I ordered.
I ordered the kit kat special 'cooler' offer with a couple extra packets as I love the different flavors they can get which we don't get in the UK. However, every single one of them as been melted and fused together, EVERY SINGLE ONE! They are not kit Kats anymore just mushed up in a block of wafer and chocolate. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Surly a sticker could have been used to say keep cool or a better shipping method?! Like I said very disappointing for how much it cost as was not very cheap!

Worst experience ever.
Ordered two items - which took almost 3 months to arrive. Had to chase up twice.
Upon opening they had sent two of the same sheet for building your own card dispenser.
I emailed them to let them know and ask for the correct one to be sent so that we could build the item we purchased.
I then had a series of 7 emails
One said -
sorry out of stock / here is a 20% off voucher for your next purchase
The next said - we sent you two whole items and will not honour our previous email
The next said - here’s $15 for your trouble
This went on for days. I let this company know that I couldn’t build our sons present because I had two items the same .. sent photos etc
They told me I was incorrect ,
In the end the item miraculously turned up in stock and arrived in 3 days.
Worst customer service , high postage and long wait times on original order.

Filled my order quickly and received all items in great shape. Couldn't believe they got it here by Christmas. Very happy.

No communication and the order wasn't shipped. I had to chase Sugoi to ask where my items were and when would it be shipped.
They had NO idea the order was outstanding and then I was told items were out of stock. This was now 2 - 3 weeks after I had placed the order.
I was pissed. And then they decided to split the shipment into 2, without telling me, thereby creating duties times 2. I was very upset. There wa an agreement that they would pay the duties on the second shipment, and now it is mid Dec and still no shipment, and the courier refuses to release due to duties that they haven't paid yet.
I would recommend that no one ever buy from this company. They are terrible.
I have sent several follow up emails to their CS and no response. They are quick to take your money and then they either don't ship, tell you it is out of stock and then don't respond.
On November 10th, 2023, I placed an order with Sugoi Mart for 1 Inku Crate. On November 13th, 2023, I received a tracking number that said pre-tracking data had been recieved, but there has been no update since November 13th. I reached out to Sugoi Mart several times on November 27th, December 4th, December 11th, and December 15th asking for an update on the item. Each time (except the last attempt), they told me someone would reach out to me with more information. No one ever did. The last time I attempted to contact them (December 15th), no one had responded at all.I had to do a chargeback through PayPal to get my money back.
I ordered a "All Things Japan Lucky Bag" for $50, and "Larger Black Friday Box" for $100 as gifts for my son for Christmas, who loves all things japan.
The Lucky Bag was advertised to include "a full size bag of one of Japan's rarest Kit Kat flavors." Mine did not, it only had a few individual small Kit Kat's thrown in. Not a huge deal.
My biggest issue is the "Larger Black Friday Box" which was advertised as having "30 - 35 items." Mine had 18 items. Of which was a medium sized plush, identical to the plush included in the Lucky Bag, one cup ramen, one bag of noodles, and the rest consisted of very small stationary items, like a pencil and small notepad. The total value of that box was maybe $20, and that's being generous.
I've ordered these mystery boxes before from Sugoi Mart and have been satisfied with the size and assortment of goods, but this is a joke and completely misrepresented. If you have an Asian market in your area, you could buy all of this stuff for less than $20, instead of the $100 they charge. The overwhelming majority of the contents were stationary items, which I believe are leftovers from thier monthly stationary subscription Box which they recently canceled. Best to avoid all together.
Also, I emailed customer service and am still waiting on a response. I'll update this if they do respond.
I did leave negative feedback on the site, but apparently they only post the positive feedback, since my review is not showing up there.
There are a number of sites who specialize in sending Japanese goods to the US. I'd avoid this one at all cost and shop literally anywhere else.
EDIT 11/30/23:
I did receive a response from Sugoi Mart customer service. They asked me to send a picture of the items I received, which I sent. It's been a few days since then and no response yet. Will update if they actually make this right.
It took them 21 days to fulfill my order - and I had to ask for it! From 60 pieces of KitKat, which arrived a month after I ordered them, every single one was melted and deformed. I asked the customer service for help but all I got was something like a "Sorry, we packed it in a nice quality card box. It is your fault for being so naive." I'm being ironic, I'm so sorry. No refund, nothing. But what I found in their Terms Service is: "We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected." Quite funny...
I was excited to get some different candies from Japan. This soon turned into a huge headache. Very poorly ran business. Took nearly a month for them to even fulfill my order. Numerous messages sent to their customer service chat with little help and very generic responses. When I got my order items were missing and then had to message them multiple more times to get refunded. All in all, over 6 weeks to get a simple order. Shipping was amazing and only took 3-4 days with DHL. I would not recommend giving them your business
Sugoi Mart use to be a great experience. Since they are expanding and moving warehouses shipping does take time. I ordered on October 15 and received the order November 3rd. My order was rather big ,so I completely understand it could be a while for it to be fulfilled I bought several lucky bags that were ranging from $50-$75. The lucky bag that was $75 felt more like a $25 bag and felt like I was ripped off . Could be bad inflation in Japan too, but I remember there use to be a lot of stuff in the bags, now it's like 5 items, I guess just gotta take it with a grain of salt and be grateful. I might just stay away from lucky bags all together. Although if lucky bags aren't your thing they do have a vas variety which is why I still like sugoi mart I'm a sucker for the Pokemon rement figure sets and they always let you know when new ones come out, a long with other items I'm also a sucker for bath bombs and have a wide variety but only downside of sugoi mart is you have to spend crazy amount of money just to get free shipping
