Seeking Alpha engages in what I can only describe as deliberately deceptive subscription tactics. The trial offer appeared straightforward—try the service for a clear, stated amount, then continue with an annual plan. Nowhere in the sign-up process was it made explicitly clear that additional services (like “Alpha Picks” or “Alpha Fix”) would be bundled and immediately charged to my credit card without clear consent.
Their response? “It’s in the Terms of Use.” That’s not transparency. That’s legal camouflage for a practice that clearly misleads users into thinking they’re signing up for one thing, only to be billed for another. A proper business would confirm such extra charges with the customer before processing payment—not bury it in a wall of text no reasonable user would interpret as authorization for unexpected fees.
This isn’t just poor communication—it’s intentional obfuscation. Judging from the many similar complaints on this platform, this is not a one-off error. It’s a pattern.
If Seeking Alpha values its long-term credibility, it should revise its onboarding process, clarify its pricing structures, and stop hiding behind fine print when customers point out legitimate concerns.
Until then, I advise potential subscribers to stay away. There are more honest platforms out there.
I am 86 years old and was hospitalized June 5 when I was notified by email that my membership for Seeking Alpha would be renewed on June 13, the same day I came home from the hospital. I immediately notified them asking to cancel, but the charge was posted that day and I was informed that they have a "no refund no matter what" policy. After posting my review on Trustpilot I received not one but two AI generated replies that they had assigned an agent who would review my circumstances, and would be in touch. Well, I hope I live that long, because now, 2 weeks later, and I have heard nothing. Seeking Alpha seems to be just another company where compassion didn't make it into their business model.
I unsubscribed from Seeking Alpha emails multiple times, following their own process exactly. Despite doing everything correctly, they continued sending spam. Total disrespect for their customers’ time and privacy. It’s clear they care more about inflating their email numbers than actually respecting unsubscribe laws. Avoid giving them your email at all costs!”
I cancelled my subscription last year. Today I got a charge on my credit card of USD 239 for a 12 month subscription. Tryed to contact Seeking Alpha to cancel the charge but did not find a customer service contact address which works on their website.

Seeking Alpha continues to moderate my comments and has for months. Why?
