Hi, why when I try to book a flight the final price is always double than the advertised one?

Student Universe is great for discounts until there are any issues with the flight. I added no questions asked travel insurance to my flight and they have done nothing to refund the money. They notified me after requesting a refund that the travel insurance is provided through a third party. The third party makes you jump through many hoops and after one month the refund is no closer to getting back into my account.

Eazy to book, prices are cheap and customer service is excellent

You have to fight to use your credit. Anyone that planned to study abroad in 2020-2021 good luck trying to use your credit. Even if you finally fight with them and they let you use the credit it has be used for ONE flight! So if you are no longer planning to go abroad it is difficult to use the money. I ended up loosing a lot of money but better than wasting it all. Student Universe do a better job of assisting students that don't have money to lose.

As a longtime user of Student Universe, I can fully endorse that they are the best forum I have found for booking flights. 90% of the trips I have taken in the last few years have been booked through Student Universe because I always check their offers first and they just tend to be cheaper.

Their website is well organized, streamlined, and easy to understand. They are diligent about promoting discounts and promo codes for users and even send follow-up messages to support travel plans!

Finally, Student Universe offers great customer service. Their staff is friendly and patient when making changes or accommodations. They have helped me in getting out of some inconvenient or accidental bookings, and they are always so professional about it!

Some flight connection got canceled, and they assisted very well in getting a replacement flight and a refund.

this is a great site to book tickets for students with reasonable prices as compared to other sites. customer service is great, they guide through every difficulties you get through the booking process

To begin, I do appreciate their prices and student-oriented packages as well as pretty good customer service that answers with a human on the phone every time within a few minutes. However, I had two bookings that went awry and received no compensation for cancellation and seat changes. Three months later, I found out that Student Universe had stored my credit card information and began charging me for subscription fees (that I did not consent to) and random ubiquitous charges that weren't quite explained. After just a few months they will still have your credit card on file, but they won't store your flight confirmations and bookings. How does that make sense? Make sure you opt out of them selling your information at the bottom of the website too! Although they DO offer legit tickets and bookings, I would NOT recommend this company at all. Kiwi.com has FABULOUS deals, great customers service and better communication with more transparency.

Be Aware and Block Them From Your Bank Once The Transaction is Final! Pay attention to information selling disclosures and consider getting full-refund insurance (or simply don’t use them)! They have shady subscriptions that you don’t consent to and customers service is trained to answer questions about information selling and storage.

HUGE SCAMMMM!!!!!!! They can't even match the price displayed on the web site.
I tried to book a flight but i received an error message. I call to solve this issue. 1 minute after my call them the price increased due to extra fees.

I contacted the customer service that is located in USA while I'm in Egypt and they answered very quickly and helped me a lot. Even when the call went down, they re-contacted me themselves.
