I find it hard to believe that this platform actually offers real apartments. I signed up and tried to add one of the listings to my wishlist, but instead, the system automatically booked a completely different apartment for me — one I didn’t choose and cannot cancel.
I’ve tried contacting their customer service by phone, but the line is always unavailable. Their response to emails is also extremely slow. I’m still waiting for someone to get back to me to cancel the booking and delete my profile.

They are scam artists! Don't trust them one bit, especially the ratings that they have received. Its all fake. I did my masters in Germany in 2024 and I booked my accommodation through student.com. Initially, a company called Flyhomes will reach out to you. They have a bunch of useless folks who will give you details and instructions regarding the accomodation, including screenshots. Those screenshots are photoshopped pics and do not resemble the actual apartment in any way. Then, they will keep forwarding you to different people, eventually telling you to make the payment through student.com. Once you make the payment, they will tell you to go to Insiderapartments which has offices in Delhi and Berlin. When you reach there, they will give you the key to go and check the apartment. The apartment is so bad that there will be cockroaches running on the floor, no Wifi, no kitchen, uncleaned sheets and not even a proper toilet with privacy. There are no closed rooms, just shower curtains, similar to the setup of a prison. So, obviously, I wasnt going to live there. I returned the keys and found another accommodation. 6 months later they will contact you and ask you to return the keys because they have no documentation of anything and they wont return your deposit that you paid through student.com. Even if you call them, text them or visit in person, they wont return your deposit. Eventually, when I got a response, they told I should contact student.com for the deposit. When I did contact student.com, initially they were really sweet but then a week later, they sent me an email saying they can't return the deposit because Insiderapartments is no longer a partner of theirs. It's quite natural for a person to get angry at this point so I did vent my frustration. There were two people with whom I was in contact, Chandana and Dinesh. Dinesh seems to be the manager of Chandana. As soon as you get angry, this manager Dinesh will call you and lecture you saying that he wont tolerate anyone getting angry at his team and this is not the way to respond to people and they are working on it. Its been 6 months again and I still haven't heard back from them. If you go to Berlin, you will see other people fighting with Insiderapartment employees who have also booked the accommodation through student.com.

I live in an ensuit with 7 people, all fine, but the view outside the window is very bad, no scenery and any sunlight. So be careful about that.
