I love my Stroem bike
I love my Stroem bike. I live in Leeds England which is hilly and so not usually suitable for Dutch style bikes . With my Stroem bike I can pretend that Leeds is Copenhagen and can cycle to and from Work in office clothes without worrying about having to change or shower.
Really bad customer service
I bought a bike at strøm through indiegogo and had to wait 12+ months for it to be delivered. Maybe acceptable in covid times, but the lack of communication was not, in my opinion. When my bike finally arrived in spring 2021 it was broken and I contacted strøm. After finally reaching them, they suggested I have it fixed and they would refund the costs to me. As you can guess: they never refunded the costs, even after many reminders. Now 8+ months later I finally received a reply which stated: we will pay the costs but not right now due to the financial situation of the company. This is unacceptable (again!), also on top of the accessoires that were never delivered.
I would never buy a bike from this company!
You buy the bike for the experience
You buy the bike for the experience, and this one is great when you ride a Strøm city. Although I changed the tires and took the fenders off to get more gravel rides it still does the work.
I invested in one of the first crowdfunding campaigns so I was ready to wait a bit longer — that was the price for investing in a small startup and the final low cost of the product. The guys from Strøm try to resolve any issue as fast as they can. In my opinion the patience pays off.
I own a fatbike
I own a fatbike . Its been almost 3 yrs . And never had any big issue with it. And when i had an issue. The strombikes guys have always been warm and welcoming and very helpful. The bike itself is one of a kind and for ver good price . Always people are asking me abt the bike coz its on its own level .

I had an error on my Color display. Made an appointment online and went today. Perfect service, got what a went for and all staff are very kind and helpful.
Hope STROEM will have better luck next near. The world has not been so kind to them this year. Of course I am thinking about covid and all the delays that came as a side effect.

CEO of Stroem does not care to solve problems, either
12Apr22 - Despite a promising call from the CEO, I've had nothing more than a weak apology for the sustained catalogue of errors and incompetence from Stroem, that leaves me no nearer resolution to address to transit damage, mis-specification of the bikes supplied, the poor manufacture and ABOVE ALL, absolute failure to communicate and respond to nearly 40 communications from me.
Nichlas Lloyd, Stroem CEO, does not care enough to give any commitment dates to end replacement parts and rectify problems and does not care that one of the 2 bikes is barely rideable, with motor cable too short, incompatible forks and mudguard, appalling paint colour variations and missing items.
Now that the CEO has confirmed his indifference to my problems, I have to pursue breach of contract via my card issuer, even though the partial delivery was so long ago.
05Apr22 - In reply to Stroem's response: You are right that it should not be this way or that I have had to send 39 emails and still not received a proper resolution. I hope it will get resolved now.
I paid Stroem EUR843 for import duty and VAT to the UK. I then had to pay the same again to TNT to get the first bike released, because Stroem did not pass it on. In July, Stroem agreed that they owe me 843 Euros but I STILL havent received it. I also have missing parts on both my bikes, 3 very different shades of colour on one of them, a motor cable too short and damaged mud-guards. I was told to buy an extension motor cable but why doesn't Stroem own the problems and get me a longer cable, fix the problems I repeatedly emailed about and give me back my 843 Euros. This is the worst buying experience I have ever had. Why won't you act honourably?

I know there has been a lot of issues. But glad to see Strøm coming out to meet the users on their tour. And I truly think they will improve their support once they have time to breathe :-)

I was in the first 50 city Bikes orders…
I was i the first 50 city Bikes irders and have realy injoyed my bike. It have searved me well. Also made the Ground for fast return after a knee operation . I had my software Update a month ago and feel now that i Got a new bike again. Thanks for the great support to Strøm bike, my wife orderd a women bike and she is loving the the from first. 2 if our best friends follow our example and are also very positive and giving 5 starts

Worst experience ever
Worst experience I have ever had buying anything. After waiting more than a year, I finally received the bike. The bike didn't work. Support was completely ignoring emails and calls for weeks. I had to return the bike, on my expense, and even pick it up when it was fixed. On my expense again. After 3 short rides, left pedal broke off. A few more weeks of waiting for support to reply. They asked me to bring in the bike again, on my expense. After asking twice for spare parts instead, i finally received them, and was able to fix it myself. Bike is now working, but battery does not live up to expectations. DO. NOT. BUY. (To be fair, after reading this review, they did give me a call. They apologized for the lack of support, and promised better support going forward.)

A year after purchase and no functional bike.
In a week it will be a year since I purchased a Stroem City W. To start with, the shipment was delayed. Even though I contacted the seller, my shipping address was not changed. As a result I received a bike that was damaged to the point that the front wheel couldn't be installed. The owner of the company responded to my numerous email by: "We will fix it as soon as we can." . There is no way to get a refund, and they are not moving a finger to repair the damages, nor to deliver additional parts.
The bicycles look perfect on the videos, but in the reality the quality is subpar, and the costumer support is very poor. Do yourself a favor and do not waste time on Stroembikes, go with a more reputable company that honors commitments made to their costumers.

Bike doesn’t work. They don’t respond.
Shipped a bike with missing parts (€80 in cables missing). Controller doesn’t work (€300 to buy a new one). Display doesn’t work (€70 to buy a new one). They don’t answer emails, in facebook they look like they are in a birthday party.
They are scammers.
