Never use Stripe!!

Never use Stripe!!! Stripe is a scam!!! They are thieves who, without warning, close your account and keep your money!!! They say they will refund the funds to the cardholders, but they never do. They don't have telephones, they don't have offices, the same responses by email to waste your time. DON'T EVER USE STRIPE!!

**Review: Beware of This Payment Processor - Holding Funds Unjustly**

I have had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Stripe.
Despite all my transactions being legitimate, they have unjustly held my funds for an extended period, causing significant financial stress and operational disruptions.

From the outset, I provided all necessary documentation to prove the legitimacy of my transactions. However, rather than facilitating smooth transactions, this company has acted in a manner that can only be described as fraudulent. They have repeatedly asked for additional documentation, which I promptly provided, yet they continue to withhold my funds without any clear justification or timeline for resolution.

Customer support has been unhelpful and evasive, offering vague responses and failing to provide a concrete reason for the ongoing hold on my money. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable for a service that businesses rely on for their financial operations.

The impact of this unethical behavior has been significant. It has caused cash flow problems, affecting my ability to pay vendors and manage day-to-day expenses. This kind of treatment is not only unprofessional but also detrimental to small businesses that depend on reliable payment processing.

I strongly advise anyone considering this payment processor to look elsewhere. Their practices are deceptive, and their handling of legitimate transactions is anything but trustworthy. Save yourself the headache and choose a provider that values integrity and transparency.

Just awful service.

It was just awful service.
With all the requested documents that prove the clean and legal business of our company - stripe just closed the account without any warning or communication.
Stripe onboard us normally and allow us to start processing. We spend a lot of time and resources on product integrations (thousands of euros in total).
Then, without any reason, our account was blocked.
Then the customer support just automatically answers we don't care about your company anymore and "f.ck off" in general.
Zero business culture.
I did not expect such rude behavior and nonsense reasons for disconnection from the service.
I was a big fan of Stripe and recommended it a lot for other businesses. Just shocked.
From now on, I never advise anybody to use it.
Total disaster.

We have had a very concerning…

We have had a very concerning experience with Stripe. For a significant period, our funds have been held in our account without any updates or resolutions from Stripe’s support team, despite multiple attempts to contact them. This situation has severely disrupted our business operations and caused financial strain.

We have already filed an FCA report regarding this matter, hoping it would expedite the process, but we still haven’t received any communication from Stripe. It is crucial for us to receive our funds promptly, and the ongoing silence from Stripe is unacceptable.

Due to this unresolved issue, we are now considering taking legal action to protect our business interests. We urge Stripe to address this matter immediately, as their current approach is causing us considerable distress.

We hope that this review serves as a warning to other businesses considering using Stripe. If you value timely communication and reliable access to your funds, you might want to think twice before choosing Stripe.

STEAL YOUR MONEY AND DONT RESPOND! AVOID

Such a Scam!! THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!! AVOID!!
As a small business using stripe was our worst mistake!! we are a property management company dealing with short stay company lets! once we starting getting bookings in the region of £1000 payments they put our account on hold and kept our money claiming our account was high risk!
Our last transaction came from the council using our property for vulnerable people in need of temporary accommodation!!
They kept this money and shut our account down!!
As a small business this has brought us on the brink of bankruptcy!
They have had our money (over 5k) for over 8 months now and still not returned OUR money!! THIS IS THEFT!!
We had wrote a formal complaint which will be going to the financial ombudsman soon! We will also be looking at taking legal action to claim compensation on our losses due to them taking OUR money!

Avoid avoid avoid!!

If I could give minus 1000 stars would like to.
i own company called Dax sports limited and this company provided payment gateway to our merchant, within 2 transactions they blocked our services on 15th february and kept saying they will start refunding to customers after 5 days from the rejection date.
funny thing is on 15th february 2024 two different customers made payments of £9 and £4493, and this stripe already refunded £9 but still haven't refunded £4493 to customer nor have they sent funds to our bank account.
first of all this an american company who doesn't really follow any uk guidelines, secondly the moment they blcok your account you can't choose option to call back, cant chat with them, we just have to fill up the form on website and they respond which is rarely. i would have sent thousand messages and only one reply i had received that i should wait 120 days from the date of rejection which is already over but still cant withdraw funds and cant even issue refund to customer.
i dont know how is this possible last reply from this company's employee name Puneeth was on 16th april. An american company and customer service employees are from India, who dont even care about their customers. i got each evidence of how many times i have sent messages through website and got only confirmation that we have received your message and we will get back you

I HOPE UK’s financial authorities reads review on Trustpilot and contacts each and every customer in the uk and ask them their expertise with stripe and chucks away this fraud American company from the uk.

lol these guys keep repling same thing to everybody in trustpiot.
i think these guys are scammer who scam everybody gets away, i hope some miracle happens and uk's financial authorities pick these matters up and remove stripe from the uk,
even though i wrote my case reference i know stripe won't nothing.

Thats why i have given my case to financila ombudsman, and whoever reads my review guys please involve FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN. Remember the name FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN.

Stripe is holding my funds since 15th february, if it was bank we could get interest for this.

Fraud company

They have suspended our Stripe account without giving any clarification, just said that it has risk associated.
On top of that they have been holding our funds from last 3.5 months without any reason.
We have already provided services to our client and our client is happy. But neither Stripe is paying that money to us nor refunding to the client.
Looks like they have found a good way to scam money from businesses.

I will give you the concrete explanation of these thieves.

They removed my review here on trustpilot and I had to prove that I am telling the truth! that I am real, verified profile and all, and I had to send screenshots of Stripe emails, invoices, etc, as to legitimize what I say.

I had been working with Stripe for several years (for the only good things they have, they have a lot of payment systems, and there is less denial in terms of conversions) but they are THIEVES!!! to their face, and I will explain it as accurately as possible.

You open an account, you start accepting payments, after a few transactions, you have 99% that they will block your account (of course high risk)
your money will be held for more than 120 days and you will be lucky to get it, whatever the amount is, in case they refund the money to the customer, they refund you the full amount butooo.... Stripe keeps their commission, so your account goes negative and you owe Stripe money.
You write to Stripe support, many times they tell you that they will refund the customer after 5 days (they don't), other times you just wait for them to answer and they don't, other times you feel like a machine is writing to you because it's the same answer over and over again.
Conclusion: you only have to sue them, and thousands and thousands of people do not do it because of the money it takes to sue them, because of the time, psychological wear, etc in order to make a claim, and to have a minimum of security that you will be able to get a miserable amount at the end for taking them to justice.
Stripe is a payment gateway like Paypal that abuses the power of their customers, they keep 90% of the money of their customers, and only favor the big companies, those who do generate millions of euros, not us that even if you make 40 thousand a month which was my case, that's not money for them ....

Warning. Do not sign up to any service via Stripe

Do not sign up to any service with recurring payment, monthly or similar via Stripe. The merchant can block the cancellation and charge you as long as your card is valid. There is no support from Stripe or a way to block the automatic payment via Stripe. In Paypal you van manage you subscriptions so that is way more secure for the customer

Unfortunately I cannot give zero star on the review.
They will close your account and hold your money without any warning or hesitation. They will cause disturbance on your business without your knowledge. The costumer service is so poor that you would just want to close your account and bite your losses. Just another scammer on british financial market.

Stripe in my case with my company the situation it’s the same, you decide to stocked 5000 aud from 22 of march 2024, I sent several email almost 20, and always receive the same answer “Sorry but it’s a final decision” and from a year we never have noone dispute 😖 at the end explain in many emails that money it’s for our students you understand that they need to pay their school otherwise they can get their Enrolment and that’s mean their status visa it’s in dangerous?? Looks like you don’t care, just stocked the funds and you don’t give us a justified reason.

Then I try to find #Stripe in this plataform and I saw more than hundre case around the world with the same problem…

At the moment I told them, that’s ok don’t returned my account but make a Reimbursing customers directly to the cards they used, we need to pay their fees and we will look for other mechanisms, but give them their money back, it doesn't cost you 5 minutes for a person to do several clicks and that's it! and your responses are still automatic and there is no solution!

Worst experience with platform.

Worst experience with platform.
Holding 2000£ from 11th April and not responding to any emails , no reply at all from any form of communication. They decided to close account on stripe long time ago, not refunding any money they ate holding and not even releasing to any accounts. First email they mentioned they will revert whole amount to the original payment method it was paid on 22nd April, today 26th april, still no update, no refund ,and stopped replying to any emails. Avoid this company at all cost if you dont want your customers money stucked with them.. there are lot of better options for payment methods than this

Not responding to emails after holding…

Not responding to emails after holding 2000£ in stripe account.

Worst experience ever, I am sending them emails from past 4 days , and not a single reply, and there is no other way to contact them… they are holding 2000£ which they are not refunding to customer nor they are releasing payment to me. I will need to write reviews everyday about this until they clear my account by refunding whole amount as they are not replying to emails and no communications at all. This is 3rd review I am writing for the same thing as this is the only thing they care about …. And I will need to post 100s of review for this until they give me refund .

You guys already decided to close down my account on stripe, then why not refunding full amounts and close it, so I dont know what are you still reviewing and why still holding it even after 1 week of deciding to close down!!

Disappointed with Stripe's Lack of Communication and Support

I have been trying to resolve an issue with my Stripe account for quite some time now, where my account was abruptly suspended and funds were retained without any clear explanation. Despite numerous attempts to contact support through email and Twitter, my concerns have been consistently ignored, leaving me without any resolution or even a basic response.

As a small business owner operating a subscription-based service, I rely on prompt and reliable financial transactions to sustain my business. The lack of transparency and support from Stripe has not only disrupted my business operations but also undermined my trust in their service. The inability to get a straightforward answer about why my account presents a "high risk" or how I can address this issue is frustrating beyond words.

I am deeply disappointed with the way Stripe has handled my situation. The absence of effective communication and customer support, especially when it involves the livelihood of their clients, is unacceptable. I had high hopes for using Stripe based on their reputation, but my experience has been nothing short of distressing.

No reply from customer service team…

No reply from customer service team after holding 5k pounds in the stripe.
They decided to close account on 17th April and in the first email it was mentioned that customers will be getting refunded on 22nd April, but no reply from past 2 days from customer service, no refunds has been made to customers, I am not able to access any of the funds stuck in the stripe account. Not getting any reply from their emails now, seems nobody cares in this company about their customers. It's not small amount, its 5000 pounds they are holding and not refunding to anyone for more than a week they are still holding it. Worst payment system to use it. Avoid it at all costs.

I dont know how and who gave them 5star ratings

My attempt to create an account with…

My attempt to create an account with Stripe was met with unforeseen difficulties, as my application was declined without explanation. Given my limited expertise in IT matters, I reached out via email multiple times requesting a phone call, as no direct calling option was available. Unfortunately, the lack of responsiveness and apparent indifference to new client concerns left me dissatisfied. Consequently, I cannot in good conscience recommend this platform. I would advise exploring alternative payment methods such as Skrill and Square, which may offer more responsive customer service and support for new users.
