The Stride On and the Orthomate are great devices for anyone who is non-weight bearing or in early recovery stages. My wife struggles with crutch and would have had very limited mobility but the Strideon changed everything. Not only could she scoot around the house (the turning circle is truly incredible), you can stop and be supported and use your hand (impossible on crutcher). The Orthomate meant we could go out and do things despite her being non-weight bearing for 6 weeks and extremely limited for several weeks after that. It without doubt help her stay active and a lot fitter than she would otherwise have been as well as the mental well being of getting around and about. And while the basket may seem a bit of an add-on, it was indispensable to give a degree of independence.
The staff were great when we wanted to extend the loan at short notice and always helpful. We kept the devices for 10 weeks. In short, it made the whole post-operation experience many times more bearable. If we ever have a similar issue (and I hope not), the Strideon would be on our priority list.

One suggestion - order it before you need it to ensure you have it ready and waiting - delivery is quick, but we definitely wished it was at home waiting ready for arrival from hospital after the operation.

Why do you use crutches when a Stride On Trolley makes things so much easier , especially around the house?
Can't believe that I watch people struggling to non weight bear with crutches when they could use one of these scooters.

We have been blown-away impressed with every aspect of StrideOn. We found them after searching for mobility solutions after my husband suffered a serious injury to his foot and was placed a cast for several weeks. The ordering process was so simple, delivery super-quick and the knee-scooter was a complete life-saver for my husband to maintain mobility and independence. The little basket meant he could take things from room to room, it was perfect and made a really difficult time SO much better. Return in provided packaging was quick and easy. The cost for this equipment was really reasonable and affordable at a time when our income was impacted by his accident. Great company to deal with. We shared details with the NHS fracture team and occupational health, as we so want others in his position to have the same opportunity to have the same experience.

Broke my leg and had my daughters wedding and a family holiday coming up. Found this company on line as didn't feel crutches would make me mobile enough. Hired a knee scooter and so glad I did. Gave me my mobility back and alot of independence. I cannot recommend stride on enough ,from ordering to being delivered and returning the product . Stride on delivered a first class experience.

A very friendly & knowledgeable firm who were able to provide me with the right equipment at the right time after breaking my foot. The knee scooter which I rented allowed me to get around my flat without putting any weight on affected foot. As the NHS crutches were causing pain to my hands & wrists the scooter was invaluable to my recovery. It arrived next day after ordering & was picked up promptly 5 weeks later. I'd highly recommend Strideon for anyone on my situation.

Excellent service and communication from the start they was extremely helpful. I really can't express the excellence in the stride on mobility aid having had fusion surgery and going to be on crutches for 6 to 8 weeks filled me with fear and anxiety having arthritis in multiple joints including my hands I could never have managed but the stride on gave me independence and allowed me to move around the house but also get out and about which just using crutches I would never have been able to do , the basket allowed me to move things I needed around the house. Highly recommended service and product

I contacted them and they had the scooter to me the next day, earlier than they had promised. There was great instructions about how to put it together and they made it easy to send it back too. A very good experience and for someone that can only use one leg for a time, it was a life saver.

Absolutely lovely company to deal with. I broke my foot badly and had to be no -weight-bearing for several weeks. I also had low blood pressure, and I just could t get on with crutches when I was dizzy. The knee-scooter was an absolute godsend. So much safer than crutches, and it has a basket so you can move things around. Super fast delivery, easy to follow photo instructions, and very reasonably priced. Returning was super simple to arrange, and a courier was dispatched the next day.

Having sustained a triple ankle fracture I was desperate to find something that could help me get around . I was non weight bearing for 6 weeks and partial for a further 6 weeks.
I found Stride On and ordered a scooter which came quickly.
I can honestly say this saved my sanity. I could not master crutches and needed something to help me get around my home, and later out and about.
The scooter was especially useful at night - I could just hop on to get to the bathroom without all the fussing around with the ortho boot in the later stages of recovery.
The whole process of hiring/renewing hire was simple. I ended up having the scooter for much longer than anticipated but I didn’t mind - it was so useful.

My experience with StrideOn knee walker hiring has been absolutely great from the very first moment to the last one - the ordering process, putting it together & using it, getting it ready for the transport back and having it picked by the delivery company.
The knee walker was a life saver for me during my 6-week plaster wearing period. The instructions for packing were idiot-proof, with lots of pictures - everything was highly professional, user friendly and kind. Highly recommended!

If I could rate 10 stars I would. The customer service was 100% and just so friendly and accommodating.
The product itself is a COMPLETE game changer for anyone who wants to keep mobile during a foot or ankle injury. I was able to carry on running a busy household and do some work while using the Knee bike.

This company is how all companies should operate. I ordered my knee scooter which arrived the next day. All tracking and hire info accurate as described.
I had foot surgery and I honestly feel without this I would have had a miserable 6 weeks as my balance is awful.
The scooter gave me almost full independence, the little basket was so useful. I felt safe and secure at all times.
Have just booked collection and they were an absolute pleasure to do business with.

I had foot surgery with no weight bearing for 6 weeks. I found crutches awkward, dangerous and limiting.

I googled knee trolleys and found Stride On - I hired it and the very next day one was delivered to my door. My family put it together easily and it came with clear instructions. I’m not exaggerating when I say this but of kit changed my life! I gained most of my independence back and was able to get about easily, safely and prepare food at a work top etc. The Stride On is sturdy and made me feel very safe. It can be adjusted so your body isn’t lopsided sided and is comfortable although I would suggest you order the extra knee pad. It has a basket which is so handy going about every day life.

I extended it by a further week and spoke to a lovely man who made the whole process so easy. What a great service!

I can not thank this Company enough for making what has been quite a traumatic recovery, so much easier and safer!!

I would highly recommend this to anyone going through the same type of surgery.

Thank you so much to whoever invented the Strideon! I had an ankle operation and had to be non-weightbearing for 2 weeks. I don't think I would have been able to feed myself without the Strideon - trying to balance on one leg with 2 crutches and try and eat something is nigh-on impossible. The Strideon enabled me to whizz around downstairs and get around so much more easily than on crutches. If anyone was thinking about booking one - please do! The ordering process was so easy and delivery excellent. I extended my order for a couple of weeks but didn't really need to, so I arranged a return the following day. It was very easy to put together and re-pack. Sad in someways to see it go but now getting around on one crutch so all good. Thank you again for such a brilliant product and service!

This was an absolute Godsend. If you have had ankle or foot surgery, or are about to, get your order in. Just that little bit of freedom to scoot to the loo instead of navigating awkward crutches, made such a difference. The service was excellent, and it's so easy to extend your hire. And if you no longer need your scooter before your rental end date, they will pick up and refund. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you StrideOn.

Firstly, all communication and correspondence was delivered promptly and friendly. The information was clear to understand.
I had a foot fusion operation and unable to weightbear for 6/7 weeks. Using crutches for this length of time was exhausting and I felt unstable, despite being quite strong. Physio recommended a knee scooter.
StrideOn delivered the rental scooter without any issues and it was very clear how to set it up. I bought a cushion cover as extra. It's very easy to use and meant I could move about fairly independently.
It has been incredible, as otherwise I probably would have struggled to get about, using crutches alone.
I would highly recommend using this company.

I managed to badly break my left foot in mid-October and ended up having to keep it off the ground for eight weeks. I found crutches impossible - I couldn't easily make a drink, cook my dinner or wash. Thankfully a friend picked up a StrideOn leaflet for me at the fracture clinic, and I hired the knee walker. It was an absolute godsend! It allowed me to be more mobile, to make a drink, to cook - and to wash. I had the knee walker for almost four months, while I (literally) got back on two feet! Helen at StrideOn was brilliant - always so friendly and helpful and quick-off-the-mark. I can't rave about StrideOn or the knee walker (which I called Murgatroyd!) enough. I am sure it helped aid my recovery. It was so easy to use and meant the slightest movement wasn't exhausting (as it was when I was using crutches). Without the knee walker I just wouldn't have managed the basics of my everyday life. Thank you to all at StrideOn!

I hired a knee scooter initially for a month following surgery. Delivery was efficient and assembly was easy. The scooter has been an amazing recovery aid, so much so that I extended it another week. The team at Strideon are so lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend this company, in fact in a way I'm sad we are parting ways, but I'm well enough to walk with the boot now. Thank you Strideon.
