Do not recommend HP Chromebooks, go elsewhere

Bought two Chromebooks for over £300 each and BOTH broke. The first non responsive within a few months, in warranty, they had to replace the motherboard, wipe the whole thing and return. The second non responsive after 13 months and tech support simply said 'it is out of warranty, you have to pay for this call'. £300 wasted and no acceptance that these are totally unreliable. I will NEVER buy HP again. My Asus has been going for 5yrs without any issues.

Atrocious company- do not spend you hard earned money with them!

I cannot express great enough what an absolutely atrocious level of customer service I have received from HP Hewlett Packard.
8 months a go I purchased a laptop for one of my team and from then until now I am still left with a broken laptop, it worked for 3 weeks. Even after it has been sent back twice to them to be fixed. I have called their tech support line as they do not have a customer support line or complaints line. Every time with the promise to resolve and escalate my issue. Every time I am left and again I have to repeat calling them up to sort my issue. I have called every week for the past 8 months, they advised my claim had been escalated but they had closed it. I am again still sat waiting with a brand new unusable laptop.
DO NOT purchase anything from HP as when it stops working you will be left out of pocket having paid hundreds of pounds. This company does not care!

Unhelpful company

Purchased an expensive printer from this company due to two others being returned, as technicians unable to connect to smart ink service. Had new printer since April keeps printing out random duplicate copies from when I purchased it thought it was my error, but discovered not. Been sent new print heads no change been on technical support two days to no avail. Promised to escalate but have closed case instead supposed to have a three year warranty not sure what for. Hopeless company.

Terrible Customer Service Experience with HP.com

I recently purchased a printer from HP's website, and the experience has been incredibly frustrating from start to finish. Initially, the tracking indicated that I would receive my order on October 2, 2024. However, without any explanation, the delivery was returned to the depot. I waited for another delivery attempt on October 3, 2024, but again, no one showed up.

On October 4, 2024, I received an SMS stating, "Delivery attempted. We attempted to deliver your parcel on Friday, 4th October 2024 at 16:33, but no one was available." This is completely false—I have a front camera on my house as proof that no one came by at that time.

I contacted HP customer service via chat, but the representative was rude and unhelpful. Instead of offering a resolution, I was told to wait for a refund, which could take more than 14 days after they receive the item back from the delivery company. The fact that I’m being told to wait for a refund when the item never even reached me is completely unacceptable.

I strongly advise against purchasing from HP's website. The delivery and customer service are a nightmare, and you’ll be left waiting for weeks without a solution.

Extremely Disappointed – Avoid HP At All Costs

I'm only leaving HP one star because I cannot leave less than this!

I wish I had read the reviews here before making my purchase. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way just how poor HP's service is through my recent experience.

I bought a laptop last month, and while it worked for a few weeks, it suddenly died. When I contacted HP for a return, they arranged for Parcelforce to collect it. However, Parcelforce never showed up. I then called HP and requested a returns label to send the laptop back myself, but the email they sent didn’t include one. On my third attempt, they finally sent a returns label—only for it to have someone else’s name and address on it, which is a serious Data Protection Act (DPA) breach.

After much back and forth, I finally returned the laptop to HP, and they confirmed the receipt. I also informed their post-sales team that the card I used for the purchase was no longer valid. Despite this, they still issued the refund to that card. I’ve emailed their head office about the DPA breach, but I've yet to receive a response.

I’ve completely lost trust in HP’s products, customer service, and their handling of my personal data. I strongly advise others to stay away from HP. Ask yourself this: are all the reviews on Trustpilot, including mine, just made up? I highly doubt it.

I do not recommend HP.

I do not recommend it

I do not recommend it, I returned the parcel, I received confirmation of the return after 10 days, I still do not have the money in my account, I contacted the bank and they said that the refund had not been issued.

Unfortunately they used Parcelforce

Unfortunately they used Parcelforce to deliver my purchase. Well Parcelforce "attempted" to deliver it by NOT knocking or ringing the doorbell by just putting a card through the door. This is a frequent problem with Parcelforce as their entry on Trustpilot shows. So I'm not buying from HP again

Ordered ink cartridges

Ordered ink cartridges on 15th August, arrived 30th August,Company only use Parcelforce for their deliveries. I chased this up on a daily basis, one of HPs agents was helpful and escalated to a manager after a week, but took another week to arrive.Another agent's behaviour was nothing short of rude. After the cartridges arrived,I asked for compensation as one cannot request this through Parcelforce, I was offered a £10 voucher off my next purchase, which I declined.I wasted many hours waiting in for this to be delivered in the allocated slots, received a text saying that I wasn't in on the second occasion which wasn't true, I also spent hours on the phone. This experience was a disaster, never ever again.

Hinges broke screen

The hinges broke the screen out of the blue. Really disappointed as bought what we thought was a good laptop at a high price. The laptop was in immaculate condition but out of warranty. Stylus nib falls out too.

I wish I had read the reviews before…

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing my daughter’s uni laptop. Absolute horrendous experience from the very start. They couldn’t even get my delivery address correct, even after me contacting them several times pre delivery, I had to find my own parcel in the street. Once opened we found the laptop would not work. Customer service is a joke, the lengths that a customer has to go to, just to get a return ! No contact from HP at all, No refund so far even though I have proof that they have my return ! DO NOT BUY FROM HP!

HP lost my original order

HP lost my original order, then re-ordered and I have heard nothing. Impossible to contact. The tracking web page does not recognise the order number. The phone line says that “due to unforeseen circumstances they can’t answer the 24/7 helpline”

Absolute joke.

1 year and half ago I bought HP ENVY…

1 year and half ago I bought HP ENVY x360 Convert 13-ay1012na, today the hinge connecting the screen broke without prior malfunction nor any misusage of the laptop which has been very lighthly used so far. I called support given it was still on warranty and they told me this is due to customer usage, I checked on google and there are hundreds of cases of this issue being reported by customers and even a lawsuit in the US for this particular item. Called them again and washed their hands leaving me with the only option to go with a repair half of the value of the laptop. TOTAL SCAM you have LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE for £300.

Terrible service and impossible to contact

I have been tried to buy a laptop for a few months now and kept encountering various issues with their page. This time has to be the worst because I got as far as trying to place an order, where a direct debit was set up but no corresponding order was placed. When I tried to complain, I got a rude email telling me to contact Sales. I said that I hadn't made a purchase - there is no order number and they just referred me back to Sales. When I tried to contact Sales, I was given the same email address. I've bought HP for years because the service used to be reliable - I have no idea what's happened but I'm very unhappy.

Not giving me my refund

Not giving me my refund, been 13 days since the laptop was received in HP warehouse. Tried calling them and every time they said okay we will process it asap. That "asap" never seems to come, and it has been days since HP is repeating the same reply and it's like a loop right now. I returned the laptop 1 day after receiving it, that is well within the 14 day EU consumer law return policy and HP's 30 return policy. It wasn't a personalised/customised laptop either and I just wanted to stick to Mac hence choose to return it. This is an absolute harassment. They told me that they have escalated the issue but I don't know what they are doing as I have had no resolution. I just got a email stating the case reference number. 5 days and 13 days isn't close I believe and now its just frustrating and harassment.
