Cancelled our order for no reason
Cancelled our order for no reason. Ordered Friday and got an email that the order was cancelled by Monday without any reason at all. No explanation at all. The lens was on stock from their site. And the payment is still pending on my card.
I tried contacting through email and their automated chat on the website, but no one responds.

Doesn't refund on cancelled orders and zero comms
Ordered on a Sunday 14th September evening, then very shortly after decided to cancel the order and go for a different camera that would be more appropriate for my daughter once I'd saved the extra money. I quickly got a response from the customer service team confirming it had been cancelled. However it's now been 10 days (24 September), I've sent multiple emails over the last couple of days, not a single response and no sign of a refund!
Very disappointed as I've bought from them before years ago and never had any experience like this.
I worked lots of extra hours to save the money for the camera so this has left me really upset and of course my daughter won't be getting the camera I promised her in time for her birthday.

Trustworthy, Reliable and Quick Delivery.
Wanted a new Sony A7R V for a long long time. And, finally able to afford it, was about to buy it directly from Sony with my work discount of 15%. But then I remembered this store, where I got my first ever camera from in 2014. And so I had a look to see if they had the camera I wanted, and yes they did and it was (in total), £1100 cheaper than buying directly from Sony. So I ordered it Thursday evening, arrived Monday morning (3 days later). Came with UK power adapter too. No problems. Brand new and camera works perfectly. Thank you to the store again for a great product.
In stock, or not in stock, that is the question...
Not sure what is happening with this company of late, I have used them over the past half a dozen years quite successfully, however the last two orders have followed the same pattern.
The item clearly shows in stock, place the order, confirmation received, then a few days later an email stating they do not have stock to full fill the order and as such the order is cancelled.
No option to wait, to reserve, nothing.
I thought the first was odd, but put it down to a one off, but the second months later has followed the same pattern, order successfully received nothing, and then order cancelled due to lack of stock. (even though the items clearly show they are in stock even after the email)
So either for some reason they just don't want to ship to me, or they are operating on the basis of misleading the customer into ordering even though they are fully aware they have no stock which isn't very honest. I did email them on the first occasion to ask why when they have cancelled my order they continue to show in stock, so i have no idea whether to wait or just go somewhere else.
As I mentioned earlier, I was very happy to use this company, but of late, I grow a wary of their practices.

Second time customer of DigitalRev, previously ordered a Canon 6D just over 11 years ago! A few days ago ordered a new Canon R6 mkii and it just got delivered. Once again, phenomenal price, unbeatable... Quick delivery, simple process and thankfully everything looks to be in great working order.

Expect you pay delivery to HK if item is faulty

New lens arrived, something wrong with mount, did not go on camera. Digitalrev expected me to pay postage back to Hong Kong, which would more than negate any savings I made by going with them instead of Amazon.
Substantial difference in price, and fast delivery
On Saturday I ordered a Canon RF 15-35mm F2.8L lens at £1,100 less than the UK retailers were offering it at, and it arrived today (Wednesday) by UPS. Brand new, fits the camera, works, no issues at all.
Since 2011 I have ordered various items from DigitalRev and felt it was worth going back due to the often substantial difference in price from the UK retailers. I have only once had a problem (back in 2015) when an item failed to be delivered due to a complication at Customs, but I was refunded without problems.
I have to admit I hesitated before ordering from them this time due to several bad reviews below. I feared that perhaps they had changed or gone downhill, and it's still a large chunk or money to part with, even if it is a sizeable saving.
So, I made sure I paid with a credit card rather than debit card (more consumer protection), and I videoed the opening of the wrapped package when it arrived (to help if there were any disputes with used or broken items).
However, I genuinely have had no problems and am delighted with the price, and the speed of delivery.
Reading all the recent negative views on this site, I thought I should at least balance this with my own experience. I am not denying anyone else's, but my experience has been a good one and I will most likely use them yet again when I next need a camera or lens.
Used lenses sold as new
I bought a 15-30mm tamron VC lens for canon, which came in a beaten up box, with all stickers removed from lens and glass (had been clearly unwrapped and wrapped again), the lens was considerably dirty on front and rear glass - and showed quite a bit of sign of wear-and-tear (scuff and scrapes, etc...)
I'm fine with grey imports and have had two expensive lenses from digitalrev in the past, but I only buy on the premise that the stuff is 'new'. This lens was very obviously not new by a long way, and after i took pictures and sent them, I was told that 'no this lens was new'. They are clearly lying as anyone can see from the pics I took on the day of receipt - you couldn't make a lens that dirty and 'used looking' if you actually tried.
I tried to return the lens (quite costly to Hong Kong) and enquired about postage but they have just gone quiet on me.
I won't be purchasing from them again, and will be posting anywhere and everywhere my bad experience so others aren't caught like I am. It's clearly hit or miss with the lenses they send out, and I won't be risking it again...
