Storage King Australia - North Parramatta Reviews 105

After my Mother passed away I had to move quickly to be with my Father and my things ended up in storage at Storage King Parramatta for 5 months. I made sure important things like my bed, was wrapped in plastic, and placed against the wall. We checked the condition of the unit when we placed it all in, it was a bit dirty at the front near the door but the rest was ok. When we got it out of storage again last week, the removalists said to me look what has happened, the unit had somehow got wet and moudly, we did have heavy rain in winter, but I thought it would be safe in there. I was very wrong. My bed is ruined with black mould and a few other things as well got all rusty, I sent photos to management and they are saying the unit was clean and no mould when they did their final inspection which is simply not true. Along the bottom of the walls was mould you can see it next to my paintings and it was all along the back and when the bed was picked up to removed it was wet where my bed was as it was wet underneath and up the wall behind it, we were horrified to see what was under the bed and how it all seeped through into the mattress. I have had to buy a new bed and asked to be reinbursed there response is the unit was clean on their final inspection, if that is clean then that is disgraceful standard they have and they will not reinburse me for a new bed which was ruined as I didnt take out any insurance, I was still grieving and so upset taking all the things to storage I dont recall them even mentioning that to me. They are not an honest company as I had hoped they would be and I am still waiting on a refund promised for the days I did not use the unit and paid for as promised. I was offered $250 to steam clean but I have now bought and paid for a new bed no one wants to sleep on a mouldy bed, especially when it was quite new as well. They are saying no further correspondence will be entered into they feel it is my fault not taking insurance but I thought they would have a heart and reinburse me for my bed as something clearly got in that unit, even though they are denying it, the photos dont lie. If I can save someone else going through this heartache then that is good and why I am leaving a review to advise please chose somewhere else, NOT HERE

The process was easy and the staff were very helpful. I had a particular type of storage in mind, however after discussing my needs, they showed me different options for the same budget and I chose a much better option for our needs. I think it was Michael. Great guy and very customer focussed.

Your sales person just made everything difficult. In addition to that he slammed the front door on another customer saying “I have to finish with this customer first, you’ll have to wait outside” …. I thought that this was highly unusual.

Peter and team were easy to work with to reach a positive solution for storage. Very informative and professional in supporting some late changes to schedule when moved in. Initial briefing on access and policies was easy to follow and straightforward. North Parramatta location chosen for access and convenience during access hours. Would recommend the team at Storage King.

Great customer service and information

I rented a 3/4 shed & realised once the removalists were packing the truck, no way could I fit. I phoned & was helped immediately & upgraded the shed at a great cheap price. They saved me & my furniture!!! The Best !
