DON’T CALL US AGAIN!

Didn’t call, search, or ask for contact, yet there was STIFEL calling us-not leaving any message out of courtesy, and probably using a purchased call list from someone. We are on the do not call lists, but they are a joke! AI IS NOT OUR FRIEND! Neither is STIFEL company! Stop calling us-WE DON’T NEED OR WANT WHAT YOU ARE SELLING!

I am part of a trust that uses Stifel…

I am part of a trust that uses Stifel to manage the investments. The trust fund was ordered to be liquidated by the trustee on 5/13. As of today, Stifel has defied the order and has made no progress.
They have underperformed for years. I am not allowed to talk to them directly and have to go through the trustee when I have questions, thus delaying communication.
Don’t use this organization if you want to make money or access your money.

Do not use for Mortgage needs

Do not use this company for your mortgage needs. Told us one thing and did something different. When an extension was needed on our Bridge Loan they would not take a payment and took 4 months of nonpayment before they finally agreed to an extension. 2nd extension was needed and told us 90 days but at 60 stopped taking payments and then denied another 30 days when contract was provided with a close date to show funding completion. I wish I had done more research on this company before I signed anything with them.

My financial advisor

My financial advisor, Chris Barbee, knew that I was supporting myself off of a fund under his control. He placed 100% of it in high risk investments which tanked. I asked him to remove the investment and he told me "we never sell"

The St.Louis group has been a beacon…

The St.Louis group has been a beacon for me & my sisters in navigating the whole Trust & estate process since our Mother's passing . They have traveled a great distance to meet with us as well as spent lengthy phone conversations and multiple emails to make the process as painless as possible. I am a pessimist by nature, they have gained my trust and gratitude.

We had an extremely disappointing…

We had an extremely disappointing experience with STIFEL Financial on a $30 million non-profit project in San Antonio, Texas. Bill the representative for STIFEL in San Antonio showed up for a meeting and there was a complete lack of follow-up and follow-through throughout the process. Given the size and importance of this project, we expected professionalism and timely communication, but that was not the case. We should have paid more attention to the numerous other negative reviews that warned of these same issues. STIFEL clearly needs to revisit their approach and retrain their employees to deliver the level of service expected for projects of this magnitude. This experience has left us questioning their commitment and capability in handling significant financial undertakings.

If you are planning your estate please don't use Stifel

I was listed as a beneficiary on my parent's ISA and parent pass almost a year ago. The personal representative for my parent's estate stated since I was list as a beneficiary it fall outside of the estate and I have been working with Stifel for weeks to get the funds release. After waiting and jumping through all of their hoops, Stiflel stated it was wired to me a week ago and it has yet to arrive. I contacted Stfifel after 2 days to advise, they stated they would place a 'trace' and it would take 1 - 2 days but I have not heard anything. To make things worse, I have kept in contact with them but not received any updates of where my money is and the person who is handling it is now unexpectedly out of the office.

My advice, one of the worst things that can happen for your family after you pass is go through something like this. It has left me with sleepless nights, anxiety, and worry. Please avoid using Stifel and save your family the heartache this is causing me.

Run Away!

Does not cooperate with Durable POA or Legal Guardians, we will see if they cooperate with lawyers! My father has lost $10000 due to his inability to make decisions as a result of his dementia, and I will be looking for compensation!

Unprofessional Company

Stifel employs advisors who do not disclose the full risk with their recommendations. They can’t be trusted to work their best for your money. And, complaining to the ceo is a waste of time; he couldn’t care less about customer service. I’m thankful I didn’t consolidate other portfolios with Stifel. BE CAREFUL if you are thinking of investing with Stifel! Do your homework!

Run, run, run away...because they won't let you once you have a relationship with them

My mother used Stifel to manage one of her advisory investment accounts for decades. She passed away recently and I am her executor. So far, Stifel has been the worst company to work with. Poor communication, issues they won't explain, and no progress to get the account distributed to the named beneficiaries on the account.
I have been able to close 3 of more than 12 accounts in the estate so far, but Stifel, having the same information all the others received, hasn't even updated the account title to me, as the successor trustee/executor, nearly 8 weeks after I notified them of my mother's passing.

All our other institutions are getting distributions done, per our family trust. Stifel inappropriately asked for estate/trust documents they shouldn't ask for, and I gave them all of it within days of their request. Finally, they stopped asking for more documents, but here we are, 4 weeks after giving them the last of the documents (the docs they shouldn't have asked for) with no account updates and no ability to distribute the assets to beneficiaries.

They also keep asking us to provide legal clarification on items we have explained, but when we ask them to clarify what their problem is...they say they won't talk to us. They will only talk to our lawyer, but we haven't retained one, so simply being a customer is not enough to warrant answers regarding what they think the problem is.
This is nothing but a goat-rope. The branch Manager is now involved and I hope we can get the account updated so that I can move all the assets elsewhere, to a more capable institution. Again, I can't do that until they correct the account title to me...and no one will answer my question about when that will occur, or tell me what is causing the stall.
Put simply, I can't wait to be done with this relationship, but they can't seem to get the paperwork updated for me to be able to be done with this relationship. Bottom line: zero stars, if it were possible. I am now wondering if they are above board regarding the assets in the account, or if all this is due to real problems behind the scenes with how they managed the account.
