When trying to deal with a very serious issue at our coastal property in Kinghorn, Fife, which resulted in horrendous water/dampness ingress, I chose to contact Stewart Surveying Services in an effort to find the root cause of the problem and, most importantly, a cure.

Craig attended our property and gave a frank assessment of what the problem was and how he would tackle it. He spoke us through the reasons for the problem arising and what could be done to rectify it. He took samples which were analysed and he completed a detailed report, outlining everything that was required in order for the problem to be eliminated.

With the work now complete, I can say that we were delighted with a level of service that was nothing less than fantastic. Craig was professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. We have now our flat back in shape and couldn't be happier.

Of the 2 surveyors I contracted for quotes regarding dampness on the walls, Craig was the first to respond and also answer the many questions I had regarding the survey. He conducted a very thorough survey which included drilling samples for analysis of the root cause of issue. He then provided a very detailed and comprehensive report which he followed up with teams call and one page summary for me to share with the other flat owners, both of which provided estimates of the costs. He said that I could send any questions the other owners had on the report, but there weren't any as was so comprehensive. We are now having Craig help us get a specialist contractor to give a quote for the works which he will assist with communications. Absolutely excellent and professional service with follow ups - very highly recommended.

Craig produced a thoroughly detailed survey which described the root cause of the varying different damp problems we have. He attended our home for a day to investigate areas we felt we're problematic and used his own judgement she experience to add other issues to that list. He was polite, friendly and professional throughout the entire process. We had a follow up call sorry the report was produced to ensure we understood what actions we had to take. I'd heard horror stories regarding people guessing what
was causing the damp issue and spending a lot of money on remedial work that had not solved the problems. I found Stewart Surveying Services through the Property Care Association's website.
Craig Spent over 4 hours doing an extensive survey. He
took samples of the suspect areas by drilling and scrapings from the walls and floor. He had several meters and used his boroscope to check under floors and in cavities. These sample were processed at his
companies facility.
He supplied an extensive detailed report explaining the problem, how to solve it and even provided a cost estimate. He also provided details of the products he recommended to remedy the issue.
I found Craig to be very professional and made himself
available to answer future questions at no extra charge.
