My massage therapist Caitlyn did a fantastic job. This was my first time getting a massage at Step Above Massage. I typically have gone to another massage therapy practice in Cary, but their therapists were all booked up, and I was in a bit of pain and discomfort from sciatica (which had been ongoing for 6+ weeks). Since the sciatica had been getting worse over the course of several days, I urgently looked up another massage practice that was near my home. Caitlyn was definitely on par with many of the highly skilled massage therapists that I've been to over the years. I could tell from her communication skills and execution of the massage that she was very knowledgable and experienced. After the massage, she answered all of my questions, and gave very helpful advice as to what I could do to relieve the sciatica, but also mentioned that there is no quick fix, so I appreciated her honesty. Right after the massage I was a little sore, but the next day, after doing additional stretches she recommended, the pain is virtually gone. It's now day 2 and I'm still 95% pain free, which is huge considering I was struggling for many weeks, to the point of having to take days off work, and simply lie down for relief. I liked that I could book online through stepabovemassage.com, and I would highly recommend Caitlyn. She gave me a massage with firm pressure (which is exactly what I needed) so alway communicate with any massage therapist if you prefer lighter pressure. I'm not sure if I had gotten an intro deal, but I think the rates at this particular massage therapy practice should be higher, as the expertise of their therapists should be compensated fairly. Massage therapy seems so demanding for the therapists, so their physical output and knowledge deserve at market or above market rates.

After receiving confirmation of my appointment when I was about 10 minutes away I was called to say the slot was double booked and could I reschedule.

I have heard so many horrible stories about deep muscle massages. Brittani was fantastic. Definitely will be going back on a regular basis.

Massage therapists were not friendly, and barely communicated beforehand, during, or afterwards. And the room was very cold and the tables were not comfortable. They delivered a decent massage, but the experience was poor overall. Would not go back.

I am thoroughly satisfied with the great massage I received on May 5th at the Wake Forest location. It was my first time there and won't be the last. Thanks again to the owner that set the appointment and performed the massage. Please forgive me Sir that I forgot your name. Kevin Bridgewater.

The.service is excellent!!!! Price is very reasonable. I’ve been late more than a few times but wasn’t turned away even though I had up to two hour sessions. They often notify me of changes, locations, availability, etc. Also, with proper notifications on my part, if my schedule changes, they will try and accommodate that too. Very good!

Decent massage, but phone went off 5 times in our one hour session. The floors and equipment creek with every move, which kind of ruins the relaxation.
