After using Stelo for just one month, I’m left disappointed and lighter in the wallet. The sensors stopped reading halfway through the day unless I taped them in place, which wasn’t included. The app... See more

There is no warranty with this thing. If it doesn't work or fit you then you're out all the money that you paid. Shows you how much confidence they have in their product. Also they do not publish a phone number so you cannot speak to anyone there. Stay away from this.

horrible to nonexistant customer service. shipments get delayed and the only recourse is for me to check back every 48 hours
I was getting high reading with my…
I was getting high reading with my first monitor that made me fearful that my sugar was out of control so I went back to my BG monitor. The difference in numbers were higher by 40-50 points. So I removed it and decided to break for two weeks. I inserted a new one on 21 March 2025 and decided to sync with BG monitor. The next morning when I check Stelo reading on my phone it was 252 at 8am in the morning. I took a blood reading from my monitor and it was 123. I removed the monitor off my arm and threw it and two unopen ones in the trash. I only tried this because I was happy on Dexcom 7 but I am not covered by insurance for this so I was paying $700 every three month. I will look for something else.
Stelo, a waste of money
First sensor ended early, second sensor wouldn't pair with my phone, third sensor stopped working, fourth sensor ended after 9 hours.
Customer service is a chatbot, that informed me that there are no refunds, exchanges. And if I wanted the nitty gritty, click on the link to the policy.
No customer service outside Pacific…
No customer service outside Pacific Time Zone business hours. AI chat bot almost completely ignorant of product. Their reliance on a poorly implemented AI chat bot speaks a lot about how they do things the majority of the time. The chat bot's goal is to keep you from talking to a human.
When they answer the phone, their human agents do a pretty good job. The Dexcom CGM seems to match the testing I am using. The monitoring program could be a little better but the data analysis app works very well except for the 1-hour lag.
If Stelo decides to fix customer service and fix the AI chat bot, and I assume if they were going to do that it would already be working, and by looking at the dates in the complaints on Stelo as being very new, I have doubts that Stelo will be doing that. So be careful of longterm relationship with Stelo.
I was happy with my stelo cgm untill…
I was happy with my stelo cgm untill yesterday. I have been using for about 3 months with no problems. Yesterday, my applicator would not deploy. I tried and second one and it also would not deploy. I called stelo and talked to two bots who could not string more that 8 words together. They finally gave me a person who made me deploy all 7 cgm which would not work. I spent an hour working with her and we had to type not talk. Finally, I told her how upset I was and send said that they would send me 6 new sensors. I told her 7 and she said no 6. I said take a look at it when I send them back. they expressed two return bags today with no legible instructions and makes no sense at all. no instruction s on how to return. Now, their bot doesn't even work. They couldn't even send me a new sensor so I didn't have to go without. Their customer service doesn't just suck, it is nonexistent!
Difficult to get replacement for faulty device
I really liked the dexcon CGM device, but it was more information than I needed, so was happy when they came out with the Stelo. I like the app and interface, but their customer service is a bot that only knows how to ask you to fill out a request form no one ever follows up on. Devices don't always work and need to be replaced. It takes about a month and a lot of effort on my part before they "investigate" and replace them. I'm going to try a different device with live people on customer service that follow up.
A waste of money
Waste of money! I had to remove the first sensor due to bleeding and arm pain after 3 days. I wasn't even able to apply the second sensor, as the applicator was not working. They sent me 1 replacement sensor (they don't provide a replacement in case of bleeding). The applicator for the replacement also does not work. I asked for a refund, given there are obviously issues with the product, however I was told that all sales are final. I spent $100 for 3 days of data! The customer service is useless!
Meter has been extremely unreliable for…
Meter has been extremely unreliable for glucose checks. I'm getting 25 plus points higher than my finger stick reader. So when I'm supposedly over my range on the stelo, I'm actually well within range on my finger stick meter. Will not be continuing my usage until this is proven to be more accurate in the future.
Lack of Customer Service. They do not care.
Order a one month supply on a Saturday. Stelo marketing did their job and won me over. Website stated it would be there in three business days. Next day I get an email stating it was delivered. It was not. Lack of Customer Service(bot) stated they would contact me in 48hrs. Apparently they do not realize they are selling a Glucose monitoring system that a person needs to use daily. So after 48 hours I get an email stating please put in order number, date of purchase and other data that THEY ALREADY HAVE from from my original complaint. So I send that to them and 24 hours later I get a reply that they will get back to me in 5 days. Guessing they are hoping I die and they can keep the money. I agree with the other complaints it is all automated and they DO NOT CARE about their customer. Will ask for refund in 5 days I guess.
DO NOT use Guest Check out
Whatever you do make sure you DO NOT use guest check out -- Stelo will NOT help you if there is a shipping mistake, nor will they apologize. No refunds no help. They just keep your money. There customer service reps are unempathetic, gaslighting agents of emptiness. Dexcom should be ashamed.
Order #US478328ST
I question the accuracy of this product. What I don't question is a bad customer service.
I was excited to try the stello continuous glucose monitor. I ordered a month supply and got two monitors that were supposed to work about 15 days each. The first monitor lasted for 15 days but seem to read my blood glucose High, as I would compare it to finger sticks on occasion and the stello was always about 10 points higher. As soon as I put on the second monitor, my average glucose jumped about 20 points and this was constant throughout the day. This concerned me greatly for a few days, until the Stelo monitor stopped working completely. I made a complaint to stello customer service in hopes of getting a replacement monitor. They're automated system told me I would get a response in 48 hours. It's been about a month now since I heard from them. No resolution one way or the other. Not worth sending you another monitor or go pound sand. Just complete silence with no real way to get a hold of anybody. Extremely disappointed in the accuracy, effectiveness and reliability of this device. Probably worst of all, most disappointed in the customer service. I will try a different glucose monitor next.
Horrible product and customer service
Horrible product and customer service
Stelo readings not accurate
Currently on my fourth sensor, they have never been accurate. Sometimes up to 50 high. They seem to get closer the lower your glucose level. Maybe only 25 off from my finger stick meter. Probably has caused my A1C to lower due to the high reading error. I tend to eat less and really watch what I am eating. The sensor is useless. I agree shame on Dexcom, you can do much better!
Stelo errors
I’ve been managing my pre-diabetic condition and decided to try using Stelo to monitor my glucose levels. At first, I was hopeful it would make things easier, but I’ve run into some major accuracy issues. The readings from Stelo are consistently off when compared to my OneTouch meter. Specifically, when my glucose levels are on the lower side, Stelo shows a reading that’s about 20 points higher. When my levels are on the higher side, it’s even worse — the discrepancy grows to about 40 points higher. These differences are significant and could lead to serious mismanagement if I relied solely on Stelo.I reached out to their customer service, explained the issue, and they sent me a replacement device. Unfortunately, the replacement had the exact same problem, which was really disappointing. At this point, I’ve completely lost trust in Stelo’s readings. It’s frustrating because I wanted this to be a reliable tool, but I just can’t depend on it for something as critical as glucose monitoring. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Stelo, or am I just unlucky?
No tech support
No tech support. Always there is a "bot.". Worthless!!! Have given up trying to get any help. Have had many failures. Only a couple of replacements. One shot out of the applicator and no help. One differed 98 units compared to finger stick. One never finished warmup. Some have failed mid time.
Website is absolutely horrible! Not easy to use. Help is again the "bot!". Useless. The bot once said help will contact me in 2 days. Never happened.
When you get a good one it does work well. Good luck
Disappointing Experience with Unstable CGM Performance
I've used about 7 Stelo CGM sensors, and my experience has been far from satisfactory. The product is very unstable—almost every sensor has its issues. For instance, I'm constantly faced with the "Brief Sensor Error" message, and the readings are consistently abnormal. They either show values that are far too low or too high compared to my actual blood glucose levels, making it impossible to trust the device.
Out of all the sensors I've tried, only one managed to give somewhat accurate readings throughout the full 15-day session; however, that was the sole exception rather than the rule. Several sensors ended their sessions prematurely for inexplicable reasons, which only added to the frustration.
Adding insult to injury, the protective plastic patch that comes with the sensor is completely useless and of very low quality—it does nothing to protect the sensor effectively.
Additionally, the customer support process is equally disappointing. Their response times are slow, and the resupply of sensors takes far too long, which is unacceptable when you're relying on consistent monitoring.
Overall, I was not expecting this from a product that is supposed to help me manage my health. I hope the company addresses these issues soon.
I used the Stelo devise for 90 days…
I used the Stelo devise for 90 days with wide variable result from each devise. I was expecting good improvement in my A1c since I kept my blood sugar in range most of the time according to the app. My blood test at the doctors office showed no improvement after the 90 day period. Stelo in faulty and inaccurate.
Faulty equipment and horrible customer service
I bought to test the product to see if was worth it. Product was to last 14-15 days, it lasted 7! Tried to contact customer service to tell them of their faulty product, no help at all. They wanted me to jump through hoops to file a complaint for their product. It loses signal A LOT even when in range. Would not recommend!
NO customer service and inconsistent results
First of all there is no customer service. You cannot reach a person and there is no way to ask a specific question when one of their few caned answers does not match your problem. More importantly, when I compare the results of stelo with a standard glucose meter the results do not match, sometimes they are wildly different.
