After using Stelo for just one month, I’m left disappointed and lighter in the wallet. The sensors stopped reading halfway through the day unless I taped them in place, which wasn’t included. The app... See more

Their website is very forthcoming
Their website is not very forthcoming. I thought I purchased a one time use to test the product. They put me on a subscription and sent me another 2 discs and charged me for them and would not let me return them. The accuracy of the device is terrible. I used the prescription Abbott device which worked great but my insurance stopped paying for them so I tried Stelo. This is and was a bad mistake. Their customer service is there to make money and not take anything back. Please don't purchase this device.
Unreliable product, poor support
As a non-diabetic looking for info on glucose levels, I was excited to try Stelo. My first monitor worked well and helped me understand when spikes were occurring. I couldn't cross check for accuracy but at least it was directional. Problems set in with my 2nd and 3rd sensors. One stopped working a day after I put it on. They sent me a new one for free but it never worked. I contacted support again who took over a week to get back to me only to send a vague message that no replacement would be provided. This is not a reliable product so I cannot recommend it. Imagine how awful this situation would be for someone who needs this device for medical reasons!
Stelo - a disappointment....
I recently bought a subscription to Stelo. The first sensor lasted 5 days, the second only three ( not even close to advertised 15). Both were grossly inaccurate. Contacted the company - typical arrogant BS response. Extremely disappointing.
I cancelled my subscription and they…
I cancelled my subscription and they sent me a confirmation email that said it cancelled. They proceeded to ship me another 6 sensors and charge me $275. This is a horrible company. Stay away
Don’t waste your money!
This company and its product are garbage. Sensors are supposed to last 2 weeks and I’ve never had one make it 7 days. Support does nothing. If you want to use Stelo, be prepared for $200-300 a month just to keep a sensor working a full 30 days. GARBAGE
STAY AWAY
STAY AWAY! First 7 out of 8 sensors lasted approx the claimed time (14 days) next batch (subscription) 4 out of 4 have worked 1-6 days out of the claimed 14). Stelo / Dexcom replaced 1, thereafter refusing to recognize the problem or do anything. Customer service promised to escalate the issue - it is an obvious quality issue they have - but did nothing. Not even after approaching them again. 4 x $89 = $356 down the drain. When now reading the reviews online it can be concluded that they have quality issues but worse is that they don’t take responsibility for it. Thus to classified as gradient behavior by them. Subscription canceled. Will find an other alternativte.
Sensors don't work
I bought 6 sensors (the initial minimum subscription). 2 fell off almost immediately; 1 didn't pair & another stopped working early. I'll be out of sensors in 2 weeks & I have 6 to wait for next one. I think the tech is great in theory, but they've done a terrible job on execution. I've used other CGM and didn't have a problem. Abbot replaced the one that failed. But I can't even reach anyone for help - just a bot that doesn't lead you anywhere.
Prediabetic, gave Stelo a try, not sure now
I had an A1c of 5.8. My PC prescribed Metformin. I decided to try to lower it with diet. I knew about cgm devices from a freind. Couldn't get prescribed, so I tried the Dex stelo. Wasn't doing sticks yet. My 3rd monitor was giving way low readings for 24 hours. Tested it by drinking juice, and later, a real PB. Cup. Yay. Got the stick test, was way off. Concerned now that no readings have been correct. Did the Bot service thing, got nothing. Full disclosure, I got them on Amazon. Giving a go for 1 more month. Not sure, but definitely not happy with customer service. Lack of, seems to be a trend these days..
Do not buy mine was off by 24 points…
Do not buy mine was off by 24 points from my usually glucose machine waste of 100 dollars
AWFUL!!
AWFUL!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY...8 WEEKS AND THEY ALL FAILED EARLY!!!
THEY DO NOT CARE AT ALL AND DO NOT REPLACE ANYTHING!!😡😡😡
I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. I had a sensor that clearly had the wire curled up on the outside of the sensor instead of being inserted into my arm. I had to return it to them to get a replacement and they came back saying "No replacement" so i basically gave them a $50 gift with no product that worked. Be careful if you try to go this route. It also took a month, and 3 phione calls to even get that response out of them.
Horribly inaccurate
Tried Lingo first. It was within 10% every time I checked it. Saw a claim that Stelo was “most accurate”. Tried two and both were 40-50 points high every time I checked them. My daily average went up 40+ points according to Stelo. Don't waste your money. Buy Lingo instead.
Stelo monitoring sensors
I just received my 6th Stelo replacement sensor and for the sixth time it failed to deploy. I have been on the phone with the tech people several times over the last few weeks to no avail. They don’t do refunds so my decision was to just cancel my subscription as they do not seem to have a dependable testing group to end ensure a competent product is being shipped. Also their packaging methods are sorely lacking which might lead to the lack of the sensor deploying. I would recommend anyone against using this product.
Stelo BioSensors * HORRIBLE *
OMG, this company is so horrible I am speechless! An *** ABSOLUTE NO REFUND POLICY ***
I have a bad sensor (my second in my first month with them). Sensor failed within 6 hours and the technical support circle is excruciating.
They don't understand customer service and the fact that in 2025, we have choices!!!
Other readers: Please don't waste your money.
That's the best advice I can give you, my fellow Americans. STAY AWAY.
I wish they had Half a Star rating.
I wish they had Half a Star rating.
My experience with Stelo has been horrendous. First of all they never delivered my three month package, but the Tracking number gave me notices of delays and finally it was sent back to Amazon Logistics in FL -I live in MI.
After many attempts to contact a human, I was able to get a replacement order sent to me BUT they only sent one month supply. Subsequently, I have talked with other Customer Service people who are apparently aware of their supply chain issue but are forced to delay your requests for replacements.
I also asked for a refund for the four sensors I didn't received and the answer was "we do not issue Refunds" apparently even if the problem is their fault.
So I'm out 180.00 and no way to know if they are going to honor their part of the original deal.
Save your money and sanity. This company is not ready for Primetime.
Terribly inaccurate blood glucose…
Terribly inaccurate blood glucose monitoring. I tested against TWO other monitors, off by 40-60 mg. Hard to believe but even worse customer service. Case# 1-0019825. I replied to the customer service email, it bounced. I called, got hung up on. I chatted, gave them the case number, can't help me unless I have the (worthless) app installed. Save your money, just my opinion, but try something else. #stelo #dexcomstelo
BUYERS BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY STELO
The product has worked for me and I have not had any glitches in the readings. But I canceled my subscription online and it won't cancel the subscription even after talking with the online chat person who told me that they canceled it for me and then they mailed another 3 months and said I had canceled it too late when I had not even talked with them in that month. I do not believe this is a company you can trust after they lied to me about my subscriptions. BUYERS BEWARE YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE MANY PROBLEMS DEALING WITH STELO.
Stelo sensors are Extremely Inaccurate
I just started my second Stelo sensor 2 days ago, and it is reporting an average blood glucose level that is 20-30 points (mg/dL) above the average I recorded with the first Stelo sensor during the two weeks prior to this new sensor.
This means one of the following: 1) the new sensor is faulty, 2) the first sensor was faulty, 3) both sensors are faulty.
Their customer support provides a form to fill out for reporting device issues - it says their team will review it and report back. But as soon as I submitted the form online, I received an email telling me the issue was reviewed and they were sending a replacement device. Obviously, this means the review wasn't done by humans and I think it's safe to assume Dexcom receives a lot of complaints about this device.
At this point, I have to assume both Stelo sensors I've used so far were faulty.
I don't trust these devices.
Horrible Customer Service…
I am writing specifically about their customer service. I was on subscription using the sensor for almost a year until I had to waste one through no fault of my own. I started to bleed after I inserted the sensor. It was soaked in blood, with blood running down my arm. So, of course, I had to take it out immediately. I contacted the company - the only contact offered is through a chat with a very stupid AI or a ticket - simply to get a refund for that one sensor or to get a replacement sensor. The people answering me by email just stone-walled me with stupid suggestions. No remedy. $50 down the drain. So I cancelled my subscription as this is clearly a bad faith company. Secondarily, Stelo sensors show levels that are inconsistent with each other. All the sensor is good for is to see the directional change of your glucose.
Absolute Garbage
Absolute garbage. Another med-tech product with crappy customer service, zero tech support, and janky, faulty equipment. Sensor is supposed to last 14 days. Mine crapped out in 3 with all sorts of inconsistent readings in the meantime. Chat bot inquiry led nowhere - typical AI runaround. Customer agent nice, but clearly unequipped to do anything but open a case and read off a script. App provides generic common sense info with no incisive commentary as to what trends in the data imply. Overpriced, unreliable, with delayed delivery and supply chain issues, to boot.
