Great value for money accomodation
I was happy with the accomodation. Great value for money room with en-suite bathroom, a shared kitchen and lounge in Westminster Hall student accomodation. Very quiet, which suits me. No shops, pubs or restaurants nearby but that does not bother me at all. A pleasant 45 minute walk to Oxford city centre or take a bus from your doorstep to the centre. Nice and comfortable room and bathroom, spotlessly clean (except for the carpet that had not been thoroughly vaccuum cleaned) and by the end of my 4-day-stay bins overflowing in the kitchen (student accomodation and probably once-a-week cleaning and emptying of bins?) Free parking which was a bit complicated to obtain and in spite of the permit clearly displayed in the car I got a parking charge notice stuck on my windscreen on my last night. A warning, no fine, but still. The meet-and-greet at block E to obtain the key was not hassle free - it took two phone calls for the person on the grounds to appear. Also there is lots of communication (mails, phone) from Staykeepers and although I appreciate their goodwill and extreme kindness on the phone, it was a bit much, especially asking for a review when I had not even checked out.
All in all I am very pleased with the service delivered by Staykeepers and my stay at Westminster Hall. And I would certainly recommend it - and stay there again.

The accomodation is very nice and new
The accomodation is very nice and new, inside Oxford Brookes University Campus. The campus is very nice and full of trees, with a view over Oxford.
The room has an en-suite bathroom, it also has access to the kitchen in common with other rooms.
The location has easy access to the centre of Oxford, with the frequent bus 400 that takes you to the centre in around 10 minutes.

It’s a very nice and clean house, provides all the facilities needed for short term stay. I spent here 2 weeks and it was very positive experience. Communication is very good and location is great. Quiet and nice street, but very close to metro and all the attractions. Highly recommended

I stayed in London (Toynbee st) and have no complaints about the property or the customer service. I was nervous reading past reviews and whilst i can’t talk for all the properties, this one in particular was great, I’m actually considering this as my go to place whenever I’m in London as the location, price and accommodation were all great.

The location was a minimalist, at best, experience
The location was excellent, particularly if guest is young- local pubs. The halls were well lit and clean and the room was clean. Problems- shower is 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet with no soap dish or shelf. Obviously very small and I'm not a big guy. Child's toilet seat, bathroom sink very low and small- if you lean head down you will hit glass shelf, mini blinds in room do not block any light- need black out curtains, bed is very small for two people and need fitted sheets, no need for dresser or overly large "closet"- takes up space we needed to put our luggage in front of the door to the room- no where else, put 2nd piece on top of dresser. Room is very drab/dull and un-inviting. Thank g_d it was clean. Soap you provided was worthless- went and bought our own Checking in was terrible- you warn us to be on time but we waited 20 minutes, could not reach you by phone, finally the "greeter" accidentally showed up and told us we "should have knocked"- yeah, like we knew that. Any emails I sent prior to check in were read and responded by an auto computer response with the same non-relevant answer. You are clearly a hands off landlord, doing as little as possible personally and trying to make an easy pound. Very impersonal and corporate feel.

The overall experience was great.
The overall experience was great.
+ location is good, lots of things around and transport is easy to access
+ room 6 was big enough for me
+ lots of amenities (even if I didn't need them all but nice to have)
+ easy to contact the support team, helpful
- noisy place, good thing I brought earplugs
- steep stairs, I could manage with my small suitcase
- only 1 toilet? I didn't see another one
- air extractor in the bathroom not working so humidity stayed
I recommend this place :)

Good site to stay
It had a problem with the check-in process but they fixed it quikly.
There weren't things like gel yo take a shower, but everything else was right. Is a good site to stay.

Appalling
This company is truly dreadful. They pull you in with a cheap headline rate, 1 night for £40, and then in the small print charge £70 for cleaning the room. Toilet was filthy.
The fire alarm went off, the site manager, who wasn't on site, turned up after 30 minutes and asked me if I knew how to turn it off, as he didn't have a clue. Eventually he called the fire brigade to do it.

STAY AWAY !!!
They are extremely terrible and unreliable firm.
I could not check-in on agreed day. My room was not ready(covered with rubbish) They said find a hotel and come back tomorrow.
They didn’t give a room as described in the contract.
The amenities which are mentioned in the contract and paid, has not been provided for 3 weeks. (I stayed in that place for 4 weeks)
They are a scam company. Do not choose Staykeepers.

The worst booking experience I have ever had
The worst experience I have ever had in trying to book accommodation on a worldwide basis. From advertising facilities that did not exist at the property, failing to respond to basic messaged enquiries, having totally incompetent and badly (barely?) trained advisers on the end of a telephone in some “offshore” country or other who weren’t allowed to say way they were (irrelevant in any case) to taking days to acknowledge and confirm a cancellation which their own people had authorised this company to use an Americanism (they seem to be a US owned company) TOTALLY SUCKS. Do not under any circumstance think about booking anything with them. In addition, the fact they operate through booking.com is also a major negative as that operation is also totally unfit for purpose and fundamentally totally customer unfriendly.

Run away and never look back
I am a frequent 37yo traveller, have seen all sorts of accommodations around the world, but never have I considered legal action against until now.
Let me first tell you what you should be expecting. The whole thing is a maze of subcontractors and employees scattered around the world with narrow responsibilities and very limited contact with each other. What this means for you is that if you think you'll need any sort of assistance (something missing, electronic key not working or even needing a roll of toilet paper), better look somewhere else. Everyone at the property will tell you that it is someone else's responsibility and you'll have to insist on it to get it some sort of done. As a basic example (among many others), there was no toilet paper when I checked in. I had to go see the reception about it several times. After a few hours, I simply stood there and insisted on getting one. Finally, I got one of those huge rolls you find in public toilets, which was not adapted for the room.
Another issue is the low quality bedding. The pillow is so small and thin than it offers neither support nor comfort; you could use a folded towel to achieve the same effect. The mattress is so old I woke up many times hurting from the bed springs. Bed covers and pillows have not been changed once for the entire duration of my stay.
The walls are paper-thin and the constant slamming of doors (even late at night) makes the walls and doors shake. In my wardrobe, there were only two cheap hangers. Therefore, I opted to keep my clothes folded in my suitcase for the entire duration of my stay.
Another example of lack of basic service is the exorbitant cleaning fee which comes without any cleaning, no matter how long you stay (24 nights in total). The common areas are not checked for very long times. For example, the garbage piled up for at least 3 weeks in the kitchen.
More dangerously, the management plays loose with safety issues. For example 1) many doors that are leading to the flats and to the kitchens and that are supposed to be electronically locked do not work. Most of these are blocked by bottles, toilet brushes and cans. 2) After I requested my room to be cleaned, the cleaner left the door to my room open. Combined with the above issue, this meant that anyone could've had access to my rooms where all my belongings were left. 3) For two consecutive weekends, the cleaning lady left a huge number of carton boxes right in the corridor in front of my door because it was more convenient for her. Keep in mind that my room was the only one occupied in the flat and that the corridor was my only access to a fire exit.
Now to my main issue: I booked a double room that was advertised as being priced the same as a single room because I was staying for a long period. When I arrived at the property, I was informed that the housekeeper was not there to check me in and I was given a single room that had just been vacated in the same morning, and that had not been cleaned yet! When I phoned, they promised that the housekeeper will come to give me the room that I booked. After 45 minutes, I received an email asking me to keep the single uncleaned room under the excuse that the prices for the two rooms were the same anyway! Ensues a long battle almost everyday by email with the support team. Most of my emails went unanswered until I first threatened to sue them. For the entire duration of my stay, no one came to see me and everyone working at the property denied responsibility and ability to do anything. At the moment, I am only waiting for a compensation offer or the end of the ultimatum I gave them to get back to me before I go ahead with suing them. And to finish things off, on the second day of my checking out, I still haven't received my £50-deposit back!

Staykeepers Homes a bad partner
Addendum: After the criticism was published in Trustpilot, Staykeepers Homes immediately agreed to refund the outstanding 3 x GBP 50. However, our criticism of the business practices of Staykeepers Homes and OPODO remains!

We, 3 adult men, have booked 3 apartments at Trendy Rooms Aberdeen via a travel portal in Germany. Staykeepers in London manages the booked rooms. A security deposit of £50 per person is taken prior to arrival. No damage was dealt. The deposit should be returned within 14 days. Despite the announcement, this did not happen. Staykeepers is no longer responding to reminders and inquiries.
