Our new happy place

Our new happy place – absolutely flawless stay!We recently stayed at Waterfront 1 in Wiseman’s Bridge, and it was absolutely perfect. The property was spotless, the booking process with Stay Pembrokeshire was incredibly smooth and easy, and the views from the location are just beautiful. Being only a couple of steps from the beach and hearing the sound of the waves made us feel completely chilled and stress-free.The apartment is wonderfully pet-friendly, and our French Bulldog, Bertie, loved it just as much as myself and my partner. Unfortunately, Bertie hurt his paws on the rocks during our trip and they became very tender. The hosts at the Wiseman’s Bridge Pub went completely above and beyond for us—they allowed us to access our apartment through the pub so Bertie didn't have to walk on the rough ground. Even better, when we wanted to eat in our apartment, they brought our ordered food directly to our door. They were truly amazing!We were also love that it's just a short, scenic walk to Saundersfoot through the tunnels and a short distance to Amroth. We have officially found our happy place and have already rebooked for next year.A massive thank you to Stay Pembrokeshire, and a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Wiseman’s Bridge Pub for taking such good care of us and Bertie!

Very Disappointed

We originally booked B&B accommodation through booking.com for 3 nights at the Coach Guest House, Tenby, with breakfast and serviced rooms included. Nearby guest house parking across the road was also advertised as being available.
Travelling from Europe we were hoping to meet and talk a little with local hosts to have some interaction together with possible insights and suggestions.

The reality was somewhat different:
- greeted by an email and a keybox code;
- no servicing of rooms even though this was included in the price of our booking.com reservation (on asking, we were refused a refund);
- no breakfast provided (though a small refund was given to us);
- no guest house car parking available;
- there was mould on the top of the bathroom wall;
- a filthy light string in the bathroom;
- we couldn't leave the bedroom window open even one inch to get a little fresh air in the hot weather (a fan was provided though); and
- steep stairs - though this was not a surprise.

On the positive side the bed was comfortable.

Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay in the guest house and definitely cannot recommend this accommodation. That said, and notwithstanding the above comments, overall our break in Tenby and Pembrokeshire was very enjoyable.

We didn't stay!

We didn't stay!! Had to find a place to stay that night at 8 pm and Stay@Pembrokeshire closed!! No help.
It was dirty Textiles very old As was furniture and furniture was for 3 people! We were 4 as per the details us and our 2 Gran twinnies were coming the next day. The smell wasn't fresh & def no Prof cleaning. Tv & shower Old - someone's home. If I had seen the 2/10 "dirty sock"review which wasn't there when I booked we would not have gone there & the total lack of transparency re the photos you see on here/Booking.com and what we saw. Our photos sent to Stay@Pembrokeshire. BookingExpedia/Hotels.com. The Bookings re Expedia/Hotels.com has been returned but not in full so I have honestly and politely laid it out to Stay At Pembrokeshire that the facilities and surrounding outside is def NOT in line with the photo we all see to book!! No way. Paintwork etc dated 10 years old, cobwebs no (prof) gardener at all no way. 3 chairs again on dirty balcony and we were 4 and a very small internal downstairs. Needs measuring & t/measurements throughout for sure. Local noisy dog but the least of the probs. Just no way we could stay there! And our knowledge - bcos of being a five star Airbnb hosts for ten years holding in Uk and Spain and we know what it takes, cleanliness/upkeep/transparency/accurate photos! This was disgusting to be honest and I can see someone's booked in soon. I need to warn them as Pembrokeshire office "will not be taking this property down!" Which is so wrong. You should ask what is happening. But this property needs a prof clean to be painted new textiles, possibly beds, wiring, tv, gardener/pruning, painted outside and 4 chairs and table for 4 people. a new dining table. Their rating is based upon 4 in 2 beds and not as in keeping re living area which is tiny and also needs a fresh lick of paint and more......Some food was left in the freezer.
I cannot tell you what it meant for us to find this property after bad directions but then to know immediately that it was def NOT as displayed & because it was a much much needed break - both re parkinsons and being both disabled but there to enjoy our Gran Twinnies. The character was its appeal and have had an old finca and an 1870's cottage so old properties are NOT our problem at all.
This property is not being left, or let professionally as it should be......they were NOT there to help us move out and we left a decent pillow, our cleaning things and a few personal items......very tired after finding a much needed, in this timing in summer, a caravan and we praise #SUNNYVALECaravans and Dean for helping us to find a new clean bedroom and place for us all!!.
They know what happened and I/We expect a full refund and for our items to be forwarded as our stress led to leaving the place!!! They have made no comment about this or the items..... So Expedia?Hotels.com have paid us back already re $79 and &£788.74 should be paid back to us from Stay@Pembrokeshire immediately, now we are home and it is Sat 1st Aug at 18.35.
We expect this straightaway with accumulating damages if not the case. The very fact that we were not warned about the 2/10 "dirty socks" review/report is annoying as well. They have a Duty of Care, Professionalism & have not presented themselves at knowing at all as to how to deal with someone's VERY REAL PROBLEMS, whilst KNOWING the property and ALL the downfalls?!!! I mean how difficult is it to count chairs, fix a dining table and make sure that it is big enough for 4 people, chairs on balcony and to ensure cleanliness in&o We certainly know that this Property - The Beechwood - noted also as "Stables," another questionable thing to note ?? - is not and has not been Registered as clean and safe by an Authority and we would question this paperwork and ask for it to be shown to us......without any delay. I asked that they take it off the books and the answer was no. But why not, look at the latest reviews and our real and honest findings......This let's Pembrokeshire People and other letters down and the visitors to this Beautiful AREA!!! I am resenting this situation ^& r people deserve, just like us, better, and not to "rock up to a dirty, old, unkempt property..." Which on top is a nightmare to find (directions not specific enough and not for the faint hearted...Minor to all else but nevertheless those in the know will know exactly what I am "saying!"
So Last chance to return our hard earned money and note the upturn to £911.00 re needing a bed that night! And take that into account......

Lack of amenities

We stayed at one of their properties over the Easter bank holiday.

There were multiple issues with the home, including broken furniture, lack of basic items e.g.: tea towels and bin bags and leaking when running a bath.

Originally, we raised the issue of an issue with the hot water and were told that a member of staff would be round within 30 mins. We were waiting for 1.5 hours (10 people in the home) and had family plans for the weekend with elderly relatives. We didn’t want to spend the entire weekend waiting around, so decided to report these issues after the weekend as we felt that they wouldn’t be able to be rectified over a bank holiday weekend (i.e. replacing/fixing a sofa). When asking for a partial refund, we were told that we should have raised it at the time and a refund was refused. The response did not feel apologetic at all. For the money spent on staying at this property, we felt we should have had a partial refund.

It is a shame that this was our experience, as we come to Saundersfoot often and were hoping to find a place with such a great location to continue visiting. We would not recommend this company.
