Stephen Stanley is very good at pretending to be a legitimate businessman and for years I was loyal to his store and got all of my statues and figures from there.
it was fine for years until he obviously started to struggle.
He did me out of £6K in pre orders that I had paid him for and Blatently lied to me on the phone continuing to take payments and orders from customers. He knew he was going bust and continued to pretend to do business as usual on his online store.
Nothing but a liar and a crook and he owes people thousands. He should be prosecuted for fraud , but as usual these people get away with it.
There are simply no liquidators, he just put that up on the site and did a runner with thousands of pounds of people’s money. He should be held to account as this is fraud.

Full on scam. There are no liquidators, it's still active on companies house after all this time. The only way you'll get your money back now is get him in court or get creative.

Police won't deal with it unless trading standards tell them too, and they're useless these days so won't tell the police. Best you can do is complain and hope enough people make the same complaint and they do something. Won't happen though...and he's made some changes to cover his property.

The fact he pulled out of his premises with nowhere else to go, whilst still trading and taking payments, should tell you everything.

No reply. No information, went bust took my money and did a houdini. Now struggling to process a section 75 as can't find who has been appointed as liquidators to provide the information the card company needs. Company still listed as active on Companies House. No idea what's happening but irrespective of how long it takes I will get my money back. Disgraceful.

Having paid for a figure two years ago and constantly calling was told that the figure was coming as to no avail I think that he should be put behind bars for constantly deceiving people

Just found out they went bust months ago. They happily took my payments for a Kaustic Plastik figure which was paid in full knowing they were shutting down. Paid off in full. Obviously just stealing as much money as they could. Totally despicable people.

Pre ordered a Critical Role (Keyleth) statue January 2024, the release date changed 5 times, latest expected date being January this year. Statue did not arrive and now sadly unlikely to get any money back as the original payment was so long ago
Sadly this company has gone into liquidation but there is no information about liquidators on the website and the company are not registered as having gone into liquidation on Gov UK website.
What are we supposed to do now?

It's very disappointing this store has gone bust with many customers like myself left without expensive Statues/items they have paid for. Customers can only hope that Stephen David Stanley does the decent thing & updates the Statuesque Ltd website with the name of the appointed Liquidators as promised & informs Companies House of the status of the business is no longer "Active". Note: It took over a year (March 2026) for the owner to advise who the Liquidators were......I was begining to believe he was talking about the old reggae band!

Just got this news. Nightmare!! Feel like I’ve been strung along. Had a preorder for over 2 years now and paid in full. Should never have got go this stage. Will need to contact my bank, doubtful I’ll get my money back.

Complete fraudster and low life. Dishonest and took people's money when he could not supply.

Should be investigated for fraud and put behind bars.

Has lied on multiple times on delivery of an item I ordered, saying he would chase for an update. Last communication in March.

All the time knowing he was never going to deliver and just keeping me on the hook. Totally dishonest and a fraud.

Worst of all still taking orders from people and moving out of his premises, yet still advertising that as the address.

Now an automated message stating no longer doing business and no information about the administrators on his website. Which he should legally do.

I believe in Karma and hope it comes in bucket loads for you. You should be charged with fraud and your house used to recover money owed to people.

Couldn't be more disappointed with Stephen's dishonesty. I paid the latest installment for a statue days before the liquidation, to say nothing of the £600+ of my money that's currently lining his pockets for other items that will now never arrive. Shame on you.

WARNING: This company has gone into liquidation with ZERO communication to customers! I'm out nearly £3,000 for two statues fully paid for. My bank was only able to recover transactions within the last 13 months. Don't wait contact your bank NOW to dispute any pre-orders. Unless they can prove delivery, you should get your money back. This is an absolute disgrace! I hope this helps someone.

Lies and Excuses from the owner and I am now out of pocket for 2 statues that I doubt Stephen even ordered from the distributor.

The fact Is he fraudulently kept taking money from customers with no intention of ever fulfilling the orders and has run for the hills.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from someone I have been a loyal customer to over the years.

The fact he is claiming the business is being liquidated without giving any further details speaks volumes about the sort of person he is.

Me like others have used this company for a long time. Ordered many items totalling thousands. I currently have 7 items on order, 5 paid off and 2 on a payment plan. Now as he has gone into liquidation I am left with either no product or a massive loss of money. No idea who the liquidation company is, if there is one as Steve at Statuesque seems to have lied to everyone including me. Responded to emails with lies, took payments when he knew he was going into liquidation. Now I start to think if the items I have paid for have actually been paid for by Steve or if he has pocketed the money. A level of decency would be appreciated rather than the very unpersonal message on the website. What's going on with our orders? Who are the liquidation company? Anything would be better than we have. Disgusting treatment to be honest!

I preordered a figurine over a year ago , Have been chasing after my order since december . At the beginning of March, Steven was promising a refund. However, after waiting for so long, I had to contact the company myself to find out they are now in liquidation. Steven never had the decency to notify me directly about the closure or my order’s status. The lack of communication and respect for customers is unacceptable. I’m left with no product and no clear resolution.

I agree with rest sorry it's gone into liquidation not spent as much as some of the others on here but all the same I would like my statue or my money also waiting see what happens but won't hold my breath...

Statuesque has gone into liquidation.

I have multiple unfulfilled pre-orders with them which I paid in advance, totalling nearly 5k.

I contacted Stephen on multiple occasions and received no reply. I even asked him why the website hadn't been updated for some time through the chat which then went offline after my question....

Not only that, he then took my payment on the 22/03/25 with the flex payment plan for a pre-order I'd nearly finished paying for a few days before the liquidation notice went up on the website.

It is completely unbelievable. He did not have the decency to notify me and was still taking my money when he must have known well in advance the situation of his business. Now waiting to be contacted by the liquidators who I don't even know who they are as there is no mention of who has been appointed.

I would hold off ordering from Statuesque, multiple customers have reported not receiving any response to queries about their orders. I have emailed them a few days ago without reply about my own order, which is months overdue, and the status of the company (typically a response would be same\next day). The phone also appears to be non functional.

I will update my review if this is resolved, and a refund is processed.

Website was clear and easy to navigate, details on items were clear and the availabilities including an 'on demand' category where the item could likely be sourced was a nice touch. Many items include various pay-over-time options which given the high-end nature of many of them is a great addition over the usual pre-order/pay-in-full.
