Inaccurate prescription

Scheduled appointment not knowing it was a virtual doctor (they place you in a room with a computer screen and the doctor virtually performs the exam) they couldn't provide an accurate prescription, I told the virtual tech that it was still blurry. Surprise, glasses were blurry too. Refused to refund. Inaccurate prescription.

I was advised that there was a rebate for Contacts. I actually had to call and follow up regarding the rebate no information was initially provided to me. When I was given the information it was not fully correct and no one knew what was going on. It has been two weeks now that I'm supposed to be hearing back from the district manager but yet I don't ever get a call back and I'm the one that has consistently have to follow up. Horrible customer service.

Horrible experience

While I was there everything seemed fine. I was so deceived. First I was told my insurance would cost me more if I used it, then told it would be over $2000. Then they went down to $900 and something. They said zi was approved to make payments. They didnt tell me if I did I would be paying over $2000. Plus my script is not correct. And my sunglasses were supposed to be progressive like my regular glasses but they are not.

It was the worst possible experience I've ever had in my life. The manager Mr. De Leon was the absolute worst. He was very rude, no help at all, would not provide me with any resources or contact information, was giving me such a difficult time. It was horrible. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

They told me to buy one and get the second one for free; however, when I received the order, there was only one pair of glasses. When I asked them where the second one was, they told me there was only one—and it was also very expensive.

I’ll just say it wasn’t good

I’ll just say it wasn’t good. I’ll start off by saying I was in the optics field for five years. Did the sales floor and the lab so just to say I know the process and what it takes this is my own opinion and there are areas they need improvement. I had two frames that I brought in for sunglasses. Both of them are mirror coatings with the polarized tint .it took a month to be exact Tuesday will be a month to get my glasses with that said I got one pair I picked up Friday. The other pair is being mounted mounted really It’s putting the lenses in the frame blows my mind that they didn’t send both pair at the same time that makes no sense to me. I get it their custom lenses but it don’t take a month. I’ve always use Lenses Rx out of New York. I send them off. I get them in two weeks. I’ve used Lenses Rx for years. Wanted to try Stanton optical cause they’re local but a month is ridiculous. you need to work on your timeframe. People need their glasses to see.

The sales person did not return my call after several attempts to ask about a charge on my bill that was not explained to me. I was given a receipt with my payment amount. The following day, I went to pay my bill and the bill was $90 more than the receipt given. I called several times and left my number and never received a phone call back. When speaking to a co-worker she told me she had a very bad experience as well and that they never returned her call either.

Eye Exame GREAT! Getting Glasses, HORRIBLE!

The eye exam was comfortable and very detailed. A lot better than I have ever had in the past 40 years of having eyeglasses. The issue was when it came time to pick out my frames. I needed cheaper frames to match my income, and the instructions were vague in which frames I could choose from regarding the sale at the time. After multiple attempts I was able to figure out what frames I could afford. The up sale was not necessary especially after I explained that I only can afford up to $400, I have bad eyesight so I am not stranger that my lenses would be the majority of the cost. The sale at the time was for 2 frames, I needed a regular set and a reader set. I have never paid more than $350 for a set of 2 glasses. The total came out to be over $800. After explaining that was way too much the tech got the price down to $650 dollars and I was told that's the lowest I could go. I had to finance these cheap glasses. With interest the total for 2 pairs of glasses will cost me over $800. THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE! Due to my time restraint with my job, I had no choice but to accept. I was taken advantage, and I got 2 regular prescriptions instead of 1 regular and 1 reader. I had to explain when I picked them up that I got 2 regular glasses and one of them was supposed to be a reader. I am pleased that was corrected but for the price point, I will never go back to Stanton Optical. I really wanted to trust Stanton Optical as they were closer to my house. I will go back to Lens Crafters; they were a fraction of the cost and had better service. Even Walmart Optical was better.

$100 extra charges

They gave me the option to finance my payment through a leasing company they work with. I agreed because it seemed like a good option to finance my 688$ bill in 3 months rather than paying it all at once. The person helping me told my husband and I that the total price is 688. There was a $50 initial payment which I assume would be taken off the 688, but it ended up just being a fee. Then when I get access to my account, it says 788 will be financed. $50 initial fee and another $50 fee for acquiring the account. Bullshit in my opinion especially because he had my phone in his hand while he was quickly signing the contract.

On top of that, I went in a week later to talk to the manager and he said “if I can get you $100 to your account, will you change your google review” which I agreed to because I know reviews mean a lot. Unfortunately that was A MONTH AGO and I have heard nothing. I’m about to have a baby in April and I really felt taken advantage of. My husband is extremely pissed because he was told over the phone that the FINAL BALANCE DUE would’ve been 688$ for what we purchased. I will never return to Stanton. I feel taken advantage of and I will gladly share how I feel to anyone who asks. I will highly recommend NOT to go to Stanton.

Friendly staff, but unsatisfactory products

The staff members were friendly, but my trifocals weren't made correctly. After a second attempt, I was told that their system didn't allow for the spacing I wanted, and that I couldn't get a refund of the extra fee for trifocals after a remake. I will not pay high prices for unsatisfactory results again.
