On all the time I’ve belonged to this site, with all the authors out there, I find very little that is actually playable.

Hi Mario... We're sorry you haven't found anything in our catalogue that you feel would suit your stage - theatre is a very subjective thing and choosing a play for your audience is often hard.
It may be in your case that as our catalogue is predominantly made up of plays by British playwrights you feel that their material won't play well on an American stage (not entirely true as we regularly licence plays into North America), or it could be you haven't fully researched the breadth of our catalogue in any depth.
In 4½ years, using the email address above, you've only downloaded partial preview scripts for two plays, and have then purchased the full e-script for just one of those plays.
We provide free preview scripts for all our titles to enable you to get a much more rounded view of the play. Most customers take advantage of that to expand on the short synopsis on our website in order to see if the play potentially meets their needs - at no cost.
We're sorry that you're disappointed in us, given that we've been in business for 25 years with a catalogue of over 750 plays many of which we licence worldwide. We hope you can find an alternative source of plays that can meet your exacting requirements.

Just a month?
The script was great and well worth the money. It wasn't until after I had paid that I saw I only got the script for one month. if that is somewhere obvious on the page and I missed it then I would give 5 stars, but if it isn't mentioned until afterwards, then I don't like that.

Your ability to read the script doesn't disappear after a month, but your ability to download it from the website does. We limit downloads of paid scripts to 3 attempts within a 30 day period to prevent initial and ongoing fraud. You've paid for it, so it's yours forever! Hopefully this will re-assure you and allow you to reconsider your star rating.

An excellent range of scripts…
Stage scripts has an excellent range of scripts. The admin of licences is a little confusing and the company is slow to provide support. Either that or I am seriously intellectually challenged.

Dear Hugh - Thank you for your comment about our excellent range of scripts, however your other comment about us being 'slow to provide support' doesn't match the level of customer support we routinely give, and indeed gave to you during your recent request for, and payment of, your licence to perform. Your order for a licence to record, though, did have a hiccup, and whilst the ordering arrangements for such licences are unusual, there are clear instructions provided before the point of order that explain how to pay the correct amount. Having said that we hope your production was a success, and we look forward to receiving two copies of the video as set out in your licence conditions.

It is great to be able to preview scripts before buying. In the past I have spent a lot of money buying scripts based on a short summary in a catalogue only to be disappointed when I read it and it was not suitable.
