Absolutely wonderful experience
Absolutely wonderful experience. I booked a srprs.me holiday for myself and had the whole office and all of my friends guessing where I would be going.
Got to the airport and opened my destination: Krakow, Poland. All my flight details were ready and chose the extra transport to and from the airport to my hotel as well so no issues. My hotel was comfortable and in the city centre, walking distance to most attractions. A beautiful place and somewhere I probably wouldn't have chosen myself but had the best time. The only clue, the weather, was perfect for letting me know what to pack and was nice and sunny for the most part. It was an incredible trip and loved not having to fuss over the details of flights and accommodation.
Highly recommend
Thank you to the srprs.me crew who organised such an amazing trip for me
Definitely a surprise!
Myself and my partner have just arrived back from our surprise holiday. When booking, the only information we gave the company about ourselves was that I am vegan and he is vegetarian, so we would like somewhere that caters for our dietary requirements. Me being me and not liking surprises (yet we booked a surprise holiday), I took to Google straight after booking to try work out the most vegan-friendly cities in Europe so I could guess where we were going. Little did I know, my partner emailed the company to tell them not to send us to the place I was convinced we were going. After getting into my head we definitely had to be going to Amsterdam, we were both extremely surprised when we got to the airport and received the news that we were going to Wroclaw, Poland. My initial worry was that there would be barely any restaurants to cater to our needs and I also wondered what the hell there is to do in Wroclaw.
Well, we had an amazing time. What we didn’t tell the company was that we’re avid video gamers and that we love cats. We found a retro gaming museum, a gaming bar and two cat cafés. Not to mention, the city is so cheap that we only spent less than half the budget we had without even trying to be sensible with our money. Had the best tofu scramble I’ve ever had in my life too.
The company does offer transfers to and from the hotel upon arrival and departure at a price of £29.50 per person. If you’re the sort of person who doesn’t tend to like to play it by ear then I suppose it’s worth it. We, however, decided to wing it and an Uber to and from the airport ended up being around £6 each way. Hotel did the job too - it was a little out of the centre but we both enjoyed the walks in the lovely weather and the room was clean and did its job.
You really outdid yourselves, srprs.me! You gave us one hell of a surprise and we had the best holiday together. What I will tell people is to be open-minded and don’t be disheartened if you get somewhere you think won’t be for you. There’re things to do for almost everyone in any major city. Just do your research when you find out and I’m sure you can make an amazing holiday out of anywhere.
Such an exciting experience
Such an exciting experience. No fuss, really simple. Even had a map you could click on to get to your accomodation
It was great... once we got there
Booked a trip to anywhere in Europe with 2 friends, for a girls weekend away. We were very excited in the run up, and it started off well with the srprs.me staff answering our questions and communicating promptly. We are all used to planning trips quite thoroughly (I love an itinerary!) so it was nerve wracking to not be able to research as we normally would, but that just added to the excitement, and we had a lot of fun speculating where we would be going.
Issues started with the weather report, which we were expecting to be sent to us a week before, but when it didn't we contacted srprs.me who said this was added to our account on the website. Disappointing, as we had been lead to believe this would be communicated out by them, and the website isn't very easy to navigate once you have an account (although very easy to use when purchasing the trip) so I don't know how we would have known that information was there unless we had asked.
3 days before we were due to leave on our trip, I recieved an email notification that the letter containing our code and boarding passes had been posted, which was concerning as it was so close to when we were leaving. When it got to the night before we were leaving and still no letter, I emailed srprs.me who followed up with a code and link for us use when we got to the airport, which we were ok with (although annoying that we wouldn't have printed boarding passes, so would need to download app for the airline when we arrived at airport).
When we arrived at the airport, very excited but also nervous given the issues with the letter etc., went to enter our code and found we had been given the wrong link, so there wasn't anywhere for us to enter the code and reveal location. We phoned srprs.me office, which was closed as it was Saturday, answer phone directed us to an out-of-office alternative number, where we managed to get hold of a customer service rep who was helpful and emailed us the correct link.
Following this things went smoothly - we revealed location, had plenty of time to get through check in and security before the flight (that had been a worry!). When we arrived at location everything was great - beautiful location, lots to see and do for a long weekend, the hostel was amazing and an absolute deal for the price we paid, all far exceeded our expectations.
I wish the run up to the trip had been more organised and slick, as it spoilt what was otherwise a fun adventure. Honestly, we felt a little like an afterthought by the company. Possibly just teething problems, but it would make me hesitant booking a trip with them again.
Edit 17/10: thank you to the company for our surprise and the apology following my review. It was very thoughtful.

Great customer service
Great customer service. Very nice and helpful people
We absolutely loved the Srprs me trip
We absolutely loved the Srprs me trip! They keep you informed from the moment you book to the moment you find out. They get you to the airport with plenty of time before flight and our hotel was in city centre in a perfect location! Honestly loved it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to go somewhere unusual!

While the reception of us going on a surprise holiday abroad was met with a combination of excitement, intrigue, shock and horror - We can categorically say it was the best first Srprs.me experience we could have asked for 😍👭
After being well and truly 'srprs'd' finding out where we were going and screaming hysterically sat in the carpark at the airport on Saturday morning but feeling slightly apprehensive at the revealed location vs weather forecast, we took another leap of faith and decided to trust the Srprs team - and what a no brainer it was 👏🏻.
Preconceptions dismissed, we embraced the 'Srprs.me' way and just went with the flow for the rest of the weekend - and it was perfect 😍.
Couldn't have asked for a better destination or hotel location and the organisation for accommodation and flights was perfect. Communication throughout the process was fantastic.
Advice to anyone thinking of doing one of these or feeling slightly anxious about it: Trust these guys, they know what they're doing 😍👏🏻👌🏻
This certainly won't be our last... And I'm sure we'll be dragging a whole lot of pre-skeptics along with us next time!
The troubles began before booking!
The troubles began before booking!. I've recently come back from a trip with Srprs.me and left some time for it to sink in before writing a bad review.
To start with, i received a gift from my partner as a present, i had to receive this gift as a print out rather than gift card, as their customer services promised it would arrive in time, and it didn't (after quite a few emails and being promised "extra special treatment" as a result)....by quite a few days
I then tried to book a trip using the voucher, which simply didn't work. After over 2 hours on live chat with agent Zsa Zsa and further talks over email it wasn't resolved. I had to cancel my giftcard to get a new one generated and was offered only £10 as compensation (less than 2.5% of what the total holiday was going to cost for only 2 nights) for the time spent by both my partner and myself before even ordering (No refunds policy on gift cards or i would have done that)
We eventually booked for a Sunday - Tuesday trip. We got sent to Dusseldorf - not my first choice of destination but i was open minded.
The flight went smooth and the hotel (leonardo) was really close to the train station so that was fine but the more we looked into the destination we found that, like most countries Sunday is early closing for most shops and museums and attractions. As we were arrived after 5pm we decided to look into doing more things on the Monday.
Guess what!, Monday in dusseldorf is when most of the museums are closed, We had to take a train to nearby Koln (wasn't exactly cheap for the distance) where again most of the attractions were closed but at least something was going on geared towards tourists
on the final day we did get some time to explore dusseldorf but its just not a town for tourists, overall based on the days we went and the time we had i think someone should really look into what is possible before they send you to a place where things are closed...
Would never go with this company again as customer service is shocking, customer satisfaction must be low, and attention to detail of destinations clearly lacks foresight.
overall 1/10
Update in response to SRPRS comment below: Thank you for your response, I trusted you to plan a nice trip for me which didn't happen, why would i come back to you and trust you advice again, wasting more time on a short break? - also can you explain how it was "extra special" as promised?
UPDATE 2: Thanks again for the update, your company is very good at apologies but not so good at taking feedback on board or making customers feel valued, before posting this review i filled in your feedback form sent out after the trip, expecting some sort of contact to go over my issues or offer me something as a good will (even if i wasn't going to accept it). Nothing has happened and only seems you reply to customer facing reviews rather than deal internally with issues

A refreshing way to enjoy a holiday
Honestly, I can't fault this service at all! From the booking process all the way to the big reveal, everything ran seamlessly. And, if I had any questions or concerns, an email was typically answered in less than 24 hours. For the amount of money I paid, I felt I got a much better deal (especially since the 'standard' level of hotel felt much more plush) and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for something a little different.
Well worth it
Well worth it! Would and have recommended it to everyone. We visited a city we would never have chosen and our "standard2 accommodation was well above standard and in the heart of the city.Plus the whole reveal is just such a fun and exciting experience. Most people you tell about it think you're mad, but we'd definitely do it again!
So worth it’
It was a fantastic experience through and through. Srprs.me was very responsive to all emails and questions. They were accommodating and best of all my friend and I went to not only a new city, but a new country for both of us! We will definitely be booking another trip with them!
Off the beaten path surprise indeed
I had a lovely time even though I made the mistake of not booking an earlier timing on day 1 of the trip, so instead of 3 full days I only had 2 full days but it was still fab! I said I didn't want to go to anywhere busy or common and seeing that it's August and everywhere is really a touristy spot, I was surprised with a great city break. It was also highly educational, so I'm glad they followed my requests closely and I would highly recommend it to anyone :)
Great trip with srprs
Great trip! Hotel was comfortable enough but in an excellent location. Was delighted when I revealed my destination at the airport and found out I was going to Seville. Beautiful city. Even the flight times were good, arriving early afternoon and returning late afternoon. Would thoroughly recommend giving srprs a go.
Meet me halfway - Athens
Super company, easy to contact and quick replies, they were even able to fly me from Zurich to the surprise destination, and then home to Dublin -I thought it would have been impossible to do, but srprsme were very accommodating. I loved the fact that as a group of 6 girls, from 5 different countries, could all participate in the Srprs Me Meet Me Halfway Trip - I would hope to do this again sometime soon!
Great for spontaneous souls
I am in love with this concept! It’s a little annoying if you travel a lot as you may end up in the same destination you’ve previously travelled to yourself, however, my 2 trips took me to places I’d either never considered or had considered but never actually booked. Will definitely book again in the cheaper winter season for my third surprise!

The experience was amazing, no hassle for me and the destination was superb
Just so much fun!
It was an all-round brilliant experience. The small clues in the run up to the trip and use of the countdown were enough to keep me, friends and even my work colleagues excited about the reveal. I felt like a child before Christmas; pure excitement. And the destination lived up to the build up. Somewhere we'd considered before, but never been. Realise now that reading a guidebook on the plane is really all you need, making my usually planning in advance seem rather useless. Flights and hotel all fine, and srprs.me even arranged some treats for our wedding anniversary too. One friend was so taken with it that we have booked a trip for 4 with them already. So starting the lovely build-up again. Fabulous concept 😍
absolutely devestated
I booked a four day trip with my boyfriend from srprs me. The build up was great but the weather forecast was all over the place making packing difficult. (Not their fault. I know). They sent us to Bilbao, (bear in mind we’d requested a city with lots to do). Arrived on a Sunday night in pouring rain. The hotel was nice and clean though they did send someone else laundry to our room and try to charge us for it despite us returning the laundry as soon as we found it. During our time in Bilbao we went to San Sebastián and other than that all there was to visit was churches and the Basillica. We went to 5 churches during our stay. The Guggenheim is closed on Mondays. The locals didn’t speak English and refused to speak to us in Spanish conversing solely in basque making the trip difficult. It was a struggle to fill our time so wasn’t what we’d asked for. We tried to make the most of it but it was disappointing after all the excitement of the build up. Upon return I gave my feedback. A member of the team called me and was very condescending and accused me of thinking it was personal which I’d never said nor implied. They went on and on about how other people loved it there and kept interrupting me. It’s all well and good if other people love it but we didn’t. They insisted there was lots to do ‘cocktail making and restaurants’ I don’t drink and restaurants hardly class as something to do. I felt the person I spoke to spoke down to me and was quite rude about me not liking my destination or giving negative feedback ‘all of the other people I send there love it’ well we didn’t. I’d never book with them again after how I was treated by the staff. They went on about how I should have called them whilst there but I’d been to the tourist information centre where I was just given lists of trips to other towns and cities, and told that was all there was by their own tourist centre, which were very expensive but we had to take to fill our time. We were devestated especially as it was meant to be a treat for my 21st birthday and finishing university exams. The service was poor. UPDATE: thanks for replying srprs me but I’ve noticed you’ve failed to acknowledge that your staff were rude to me. I was really disappointed by this. I work in customer service around university and if I treated a customer the way I was treated there’s be serious consequences from my managers. It was unacceptable and it’s a bad reflection on your business.

Great experience
Loved the excitement of the build up to my Surprise me holiday! My destination was fairly ON the beaten track but I still hadn’t been to the city and I really enjoyed it! The hostel was very nice and Id been put in a small dorm so it was easy to make friends (I was travelling alone). For someone like me who likes the travelling and the adventure but not the planning part, surprise me is perfect.
Only thing I would say, because I didn’t know where I was going I had to get my euros in the airport and I got a terrible rate! I understand that it might ruin the surprise to tell people what currency to get, but perhaps surprise me could think about a currency ordering service in the future? If customers could order with surprise me it could come in the post with the rest of the information. Just a thought!
Definitely would book with surprise me again. Great experience!
