Like many others have said the concept is good. Use Sprive when you are buying something you would be buying anyway and get something back to chip away at your mortgage.
Managed to set up everything ok and started with small purchases. Lots of difficulties processing payments.
There are glitches in the bank transfer process to TrueLayer which leaves a spinning circle saying that Spruve is waiting for bank approval. Usually have to abandon process and try repeatedly. I would say it only works about 10% of the time.
After lots of research, tonight I tried a larger transaction, took 3 attempts to get the gift card purchased, and then once I went through all the instructions on the voucher (exactly as they are written on the voucher including the link to the site where it is to be used) the site says I cannot use the voucher on that site!
The whole thing is not viable to keep going with if there is going to be so many problems. I can save myself all this stress and possibly save more money just overpaying my mortgage myself.
Not sure this is the customer experience Sprive wants people to have?? Waiting for a reply from customer service as I am currently out of pocket.

My wife has been using this app for about 6/7 weeks, although very laggy and slow, making her feel embarrassed whilst waiting for it to load at the till, she carried on regardless. Until she used it in Asda last week, she purchased £81.06 of shopping, tried to use the Sprive app, but she thought it was not loading or lagging. She had tapped the pay button a couple of times, and nothing was happening, so she paid via Apple Pay, only the next day our account showed 3 payments going out, 1 to Asda via Apple Pay and 2 via Sprive. tried to get our money back via Asda, no joy, they said see your bank, Santander said, because she had used the app before, they would not refund the 2 extra payments via Sprive. hell of a time trying to contact Sprive about it, who pretty much said nothing of any help. SO FOR JUST OVER EIGHTY QUIDS WORTH OF SHOPPING, IT HAS COST US £243 AND CHANGE. I could have paid that on the mortgage. I have now banned her from this app and would suggest you maybe do the same. its new, it's laggy and has no customer service to help you solve any problems you might encounter.

Honestly the best. Already forecast to reduce the length of my mortgage by a month.
My only frustration is friends not believing in it cause they think its too good to be true. ITS NOT.
I Already used apps for money off shopping but in reality I never saw the money I saved.
Using this i do. Everytime I press that button to pay my mortgage.
Fantastic.b

Very easy to use and I am managing to save money to pay my mortgage off earlier.

Good app, works well and adds up when just using coupons! Need to improve the apply pay though as this hasn’t worked for me and would be a game changer for them!

What a fantastic app and concept !
Once you navigate the app, it's so easy to use. Buy vouchers before you purchase anything from the retailers listed and get cashback directly off your morgage every time you make a purchase. I've paid off an extra £5 this week. Every little helps. 😊

I think it's a great idea to receive rewards while shopping online or in store. Which will then be credited to your account, to be used to make over payments on your mortgage.
It is so easy to use you can either purchase before you shop and just use the gift card or pay while in store . It is so easy. I will definitely be recommending to all my family and friends.

I have been using Sprive for about 6 weeks and already gained over £20 in earnings. So easy to use and to send to the mortgage too. Highly highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant app! I've been using it since December & only wish I'd known about it sooner. I use it for everyday purchases where you literally get free money towards paying off your mortgage. I also use it for making additional mortgage payments & I'm currently on track to pay my mortgage off 13 years & 5 months early! I can't recommend this app enough, try it - you won't look back!

Cannot fault Sprive! Easy to set up, easy to use and all going towards my mortgage! I've been using this since last August and already totalled over £220 - just using the app on my usual spending!

Love this app! I’m on track to save 2 years and 9 months off my mortgage and it’s making me want to pay even more off now. Recommend this to everyone

I have been using Sprive for around 2 months. It’s so easy to save while you make purchases. Literally takes 2 minutes to buy a shopping card and there is a pretty decent range of retailers who have signed up. Best bit is I’ve transferred around £30 to my mortgage lender. Couldn’t be happier!

Great idea, brilliant concept. App needs a little tidy up as not clear how much cashback had been earned unless I've just missed it. There's an automated saving function which I've not quite figured out but it's handy! Definitely recommended 5* app

This is the best app around for any home owner with a mortgage. So glad I discovered this app.

Such a great app, dead easy to use and I don’t quite even understand how it can give you so much for literally nothing, been using for about 3 months now and paid so much off our mortgage

Hands down the best app to reduce mortgage term by simple everyday shops! I currently use it for supermarket shops and buying gifts. The cashback has been great to help pay off the mortgage. Although small amounts, it adds up!

Great concept and easy to use, just remember to open before you get to the till! The auto saving feature is good for mindless overpaying

Great idea and integration with personal mortgage, however possibly other methods to achieve more lucrative cashback (for groceries) by other means/providers which individuals could transfer themselves as overpayments.

I think this is a great app and when I’ve had problems with the app the team have sorted it straight away
