Realistic and more intimate, great for film scoring. You do have to use a lot of parameters to get the sound you want but once you do it sounds gorgeous.
Excellent for string quartets, even for contemporary music.
Great sound quality! The precise control of the CCs really sealed the deal. This is my top choice for chamber music. While it has a learning curve, once you get the hang of it... Wow!

If you want add that little extra something to a track with some string accents, or you want to write a rich melody, this is definitely a winner!
Very good sound quality with realism, but for me this quintet is definitly made to match with strings ensemble (because it's realy a part of it), then it can't stand alone in the large space of air studio. the close mic sound very close but there is a lot of reverb in the background. I recommand to be clear with your projet because this quintet is not versatil, it's the best choice to give more life to a clasical string ensemble. I like the virtuoso especialy the legato patch very effective. It could be great move Solo Strings from Kontakt to spitfire platform (the dedicated plugin) to increase the workflow.

Very easy to use and sounds amazing.
A must have for solo strings composition
This is a really useful composing tool. Spitfire Solo Strings gives me the ability to clearly define melodic lines above a textural bed of strings or other instruments. The legato is very expressive and easy to play.
I Purchased Spitfire Solo Strings for the wide range of playing techniques. Samples are very realistic! I think it is a very valid product both for creating mockups and for productions, especially for independent productions where it is often necessary to produce music completely in the box. I'm using the library for a project that also involves vintage synthesizer emulators and I have to say that Solo Strings are the best choice I could make. Ciao from Italy!
The samples are incredible. The re-bow effect is the only part I find really irritating. It can't be controlled (or I don't know how ;-) So it "appears" after a few seconds while in real life you would adjust the timing of the re-bow to the music. It is so annoying, it can't be used for longer notes. In my case; for a lot of my music. You don't need this effect at all since you can re-press your key to get the (almost) same result. I hope we'll get an update to get rid of the effect.
Versatile and useful. Subtle, haunting, mellow, cutting and aggressive. It delivers all these.
