I was there for laser to the right eye. I was in the actual room and 2 mins I was out! You don't feel it one bit. The staff are first class and friendly. The place is spotless and there's free tea,coffee and biscuits. I can't thank them enough!

Have accompanied my mum and now her friend, and they have both commented on how super friendly and ‘customer’ focussed (don’t feel just like a ‘patient’), every single member of staff that they came into contact with. Not only that, but the timing of getting appointments and then scheduled operation, extremely quick.

Spa Medica St Katherines hospital Merseyside are superb. Their business model is incredible, from patient care, administration, speed of appointments, after care, quality of surgeons and staff.
The experience was seamless, relaxing, pain free and a huge success.
I had 2 cateract operations. The surgeon said "ok we are finished. You can sit up now".

I asked could I stay lying down as the experience was so relaxing it was bordering on Surreal.

Spa Medica in Gateshead is awesome. Clean, everything in its place. From being met at the door with a friendly smile, each and every staff member made me feel special. The 2 Cataract surgeries I had were done by caring and professional staff.

Cataract surgery at the Newcastle hospital. Care was excellent from all staff - admin, nursing and surgical. Very kind, welcoming and professional.

I’ve just had a traumatic cateract removed at spa medica edge lane Liverpool. I can only speak positively of the whole experience. The centre the staff the surgeon are all amazing I’d recommend these guys to anybody. Thanks guys 👍🏻👍🏻

Waited 8 weeks for initial appointment
Cancelled due to a power cut - things happen I get that
Was called & informed I would get an appointment later that day - didn’t happen
I called the central team and was told I would get an appointment the same week and eventually spoke to the Chelmsford branch as I had been told only they could organise it
They couldn’t and told me to ring the central team who then offered me an appointment in a further 6-8 weeks time
Waiting a call back from the area manager
This company who is representing the NHS is an absolute joke

Update - The area manager has arranged an appointment for the same day and a cab to take me and bring me back but sadly one person is not the company

Big warning for people who want to go for hair transplant.. I spent nearly 10k for hair transplant here .. the hair line are done worst .. planted 2500 grafts and feels like 500 grafts and it’s been almost a year now .. after the payment and surgery they will never call you or message you you are alive or not .

Mr Maycock has replaced both my cataracts. He was calming and made me feel safe and confident in his ability to do his job. This was most important to me as I suffer from PTSD. I have no hesitation in recommending Spa Medica and Mr Maycock.

Really helpful and friendly team. They guided me step-by-step and patiently answered all of my many questions about the procedure.
