Very Expensive Day!
Went last year & my grandchildren enjoyed it. NOT THIS TIME, many of the rides not working, my husband & myself had to pay just to walk in (not like that last year). My granddaughter loves the gift shop, this year it was depleted, all in all a very expensive day & we will not be going again!
NOT so ‘pleasure’land in Southport
The pleasureland and is not age appropriate for under 3-5 year olds and the price is therefore extortionate, paid for 2 adults and a 3 year old to enter along with a 10 month old for free thinking we could spend a day going on various rides for the priceley sum of £75 only to find there was very few rides such a young child could go on and of them we were told an adult couldn’t accompany her. 3 rides in total of which one of them we had to beg to be allowed on with her. She is 3 years old and whilst I would say my grand daughter is quite advanced and tall for her age she is still only 3 and therefore susceptible to feelings of apprehension and fright as most 3 year olds faced with rides they had never been on before would be so for her to enjoy her time and experience she wanted one of the grandparents with her (we paid full price so either of us could take her on rides)
She was measured before entering to confirm we had to pay full charge for her and at no point did anyone say about the rides being not age appropriate or that we would not be allowed to accompany her even after I had said to my wife that we only needed to pay for a single adult and I would spectate, however my grand daughter said she wanted us both to ride with her in front of the staff manning the booth.
Tried to make a complaint upon leaving (60 minutes after arriving of which 45 minutes was spent on climbing area) and can only say the attitude of the staff left a whole lot to be desired, was eventually given the name of the manager (Henry) but was obvious from the attitudes that it was pointless to complain as nothing would be done and even told point blank that pleasureland does NOT give refunds.
Was given an email address which will also forward an email complaint to but will say I hold very little to no hope of anything in return including a response.
Could say our own fault for choosing Southport over anywhere else in the country, but for reference if you want to take your young children somewhere in the North West which would welcome them I would suggest missing out pleasure land and heading to New Brighton.
All in all this place first needs to change its name from ‘pleasure’ and secondly needs to invest in some major customer relation skills workshops for its employees.
First time and can say the last time I will be visiting this place!
Alot of rides took away since our last…
Alot of rides took away since our last visit, teens age 17&18 lasted hf hr as only four 'bigger' rides..Ghost train shut and looking at reviews wish I had looked prior! As would not of wasted the £50 for them both/travelled and planned the day there as they were gutted! They said its more for younger kids which I feel should be made clearer now older, bigger rides have gone-abit like Gullivers World were they state its suitable more for under 12's..
Please ignore the low reviews
Please ignore the low reviews. We've just had a lovely day with our 6 Yr old and 9 Yr old...lots of rides to go on..they stayed on a couple of times so definitely git our monies worth
Daylight robbery beware!
Paid for 3 children at £30 each only to be told that myself and husband had to pay £30 each when not even going on rides. Checked online before going and it said you can walk around the park for free! Barely any decent rides for kids absolutely disgusting and daylight robbery! I will not be coming back and nor will anyone else at these prices. They ought to be ashamed.
BOYCOTT SOUTHPORT PLEASURELAND
Will not be supporting Southport pleasureland I found it disgusting that my sister + i were getting charged £30 to walk around with our grandchildren even though we weren’t even going on any rides us as a family has supported Southport pleasureland for over 50yrs but we all will be boycotting it from now on
Hardly any rides working!!
Brought my 11-year-old child for a good day out. All the big rides were off with no explanation. Only suitable for young children only. Feel like I’ve been ripped off badly!! no discount given, despite only half the rides working!! Would not recommend this place to anyone I should have spent a few extra pounds and gone to Blackpool. Much better value for money!! Avoid avoid avoid!!
WAS GOING TO BOOK FOR THE EASTER SCHOOL…
WAS GOING TO BOOK FOR THE EASTER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.
I DONT DO FAIR RIDES
BUT KIDS AND GRANDKIDS DO.
I NOW HAVE TO PAY TO GO IN AS WELL.
SO NOBODY IS GOING
SOUTHPORT PLEASURELAND.
ANOTHER NAIL IN SOUTHPORT COFFIN
Good!
It was okay I guess. My 5 year old daughter threw up on the barrel of laughs, my husband went mad 😳 other than that, me and my 11 year old loved it so much! 3 stars.
Very very very expensive
Very very very very very expensive. Honestly, if you are going to go for a day out take a shed load of money with you. Don't rely on buying a ticket that allows your little ones to enjoy all rides as some rides aren't suitable without adult supervision. Unfortunately, to supervise your child you'll also have to buy a £30 all ride ticket even if you are only supervising them for one or two rides. Very young kids looking after each ride who simply don't have the life experience necessary to react to emergency situations. I guess they can pay a lot less for a teenager than an adult.
Just remember, a visit will cost you a lot and you may get better value elsewhere for your hard earned cash.
Absolute joke....
Me and my sister attended the day of the dead festival on the 3rd November 2023 and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Half of the acts advertised did not perform and the organization was none existent. I mentioned this to Southport Pleasureland only for them to delete my comment and block me on Facebook. Absolute shambles. Absolute joke and pathetic for a business to act like that to a paying customer who is unhappy with the product they received..
Southport review
It was an excellent time but some staff where abit rude and the.food could have been abit nicer chips were very plain and kinda dry but other than that all rides where fun and if u can't go Balckpool then I do recommend here but some little ones couldn't go on rides made for them as they were to short which in that case it shouldn't be that way
Just want your money !!! Went on the April half term with my 25…
Went on the April half term with my 25 month old son and my 9 year old daughter was told I needed a ticket to take 25 month old on rides once purchased I was then told no adults could go on any of the little rides with him and he simply would not go on his own plus I would not trust him to stay sitting and holding on that young tbh , I put a complaint in to the manager who did not believe that they was saying no adults on the rides for little ones which she then discovered this was the case then told me 2/3 rides adults could go on with my 25 month old so we waited in line for all these rides to then be told he to short for them all which had him crying his eyes out getting to the front to go on to be told no so my son never got on any rides and neither did my daughter because was cruel him standing in lines to watch his sister who also did not want to go on rides alone we was wanting to go on as a family I was told by the manager I would have full refund and they are sorry they never told me before was sold tickets took all my details said they would be in touch a month went by Hurd nothing so I got in touch to be offered less than £20 refund out the £84 was promised (full refund) and when I explained for the second time what I was promised they have ignored every message I have sent over past month worse service ever wouldn’t recommend or return vile customer service and over priced for what it is I would not even give it one star
Cashless Theme Park - GLOBALIST NONSENSE
It has to be a two. Besides some of the staff, who are very sweet, this place does not take cash.
I tried to pay for two lattes with exact cash. "We cannot accept cash". Why not, I ask? "Health and safety". Says who Pleasureland? They try to force card, yet do not take American Express. Make your mind up! I could easily have denied paying by card and those lattes would be wasted. It is absolutely ridiculous.
Obviously you have been swayed by the unscientific nonsense by the Govs and mainstream media and just playing into the hands of the globalists who are trying to usher in their antichrist leader, who needs that cashless society in order to control mankind, because one day you will have to take his mark, name, or number in the right hand or forehead in order to trade or sell, as it describes in Rev 13.
It's pure laziness that so many places have become cashless, and sadly these theme parks are playing right into the hands of the globalists who have been spouting nonsense for two years, and still continue.
Please grow some backbone and fight back. Cash is cash and it's put me off ever returning.
At least FootGolf very nearby took cash. We will be returning there should we ever visit Southport again.
Absolute joke!!!
I’d give them 5 starts if not for how they treated my 3 year old little girl I visited a week prior to the 16-04-2022 I wasn’t aware that she could get free entry on that visit and she got an orange wrist band that day she went on the rocket twice the dodgems the avalanche and other rides and was absolutely fine she loved it she’s fearless and loves it and always had me with her no questioned it and I have video and photo proof of it all so we decided to come back on 16-04-2022 I used the 50% off coupon and did her a free entry she got a blue wrist band this time and she was basically told no to most of the rides so I’m trapsing round with a very upset little girl crying it’s not fair and it isn’t fair so I went back to mother office and no one offered to do anything other than pay another £30!!! For a red wrist band so she cousins get on the rides it’s an absolute joke!!!
