I cannot recommend Mark, Frances, and the team at Southern Solar Electrical highly enough.
From our very first interaction in early 2021 (Solar PV install), it was clear that we were dealing with a company that truly values quality, transparency, and customer satisfaction.
What really stood out was their approach to the entire process. There were no high-pressure sales tactics; instead, they took the time to assess our home and provide honest, expert advice on the best system to suit our specific needs. Frances was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, making the administrative side of things seamless and answering all our questions with clarity and patience.
When it came to the installation, Mark and his electrical team were fantastic. Mark is a true tradesman - his attention to detail is unmatched, and it’s clear he takes immense pride in his work. The installation itself was completed neatly and efficiently, and the team was exceptionally tidy, leaving no mess behind. It’s also very reassuring to know that they use their own in-house team rather than subcontractors, which really shows in the high standard of the finished work.
Because I was so impressed with our initial solar installation, I didn't hesitate to go back to Southern Solar Electrical when I needed an EV car charger installed. Just like the first time, the experience was seamless and professional from start to finish.
Most importantly, what sets them apart is their commitment to the customer long after the job is done. Whenever any minor issues arose, Mark and Frances always made every effort to resolve them quickly and effectively. It’s a huge relief to work with a local company that is so responsive and genuinely cares about your long-term experience and satisfaction.

Southern Solar Electrical installed and Ecoflow inverter & battery. It replaced an older defective Solatro system. Happy with the install team. This included getting the Ecoflow account set up for me with all the details. Love the functionality. With AI, this is next gen technology. It's working well for me & I think we are now considerably more self sufficient in energy. In fact I want to add more PVs now

Exceptional Support and Service. Had a 6kw installation completed a few years ago that didn't work out (see my review on here about soltaro.com) I had Southern Solar replace this system with a QCells battery and Inverter that has worked perfectly since install. Also had Southern Solar install a Hypervolt EV charger. Mark is always quick to respond, professional and installations are neat and tidy.

This company installed a system for me in 2022. It failed in 2023 and required repair, and has now failed again in 2026.
Despite this repeated failure, they have refused to even carry out an inspection. Instead, they are shifting responsibility to the inverter manufacturer. However, the manufacturer has confirmed the system was installed incorrectly, which has now voided my warranty.
I am left with a non-functional system, no support, and no accountability.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise caution. Once payment is taken, there appears to be little to no after-sales support.

I recently bit the bullet and got my home in Co - Waterford fitted for Solar Panels by Southern Solar Electrical who are based in Castlemartyr Co-Cork. (I have no affilliation with this company )From start to finish, the entire process was stress-free. Their team is not only knowledgeable but also truly passionate about solar energy and its benefits for homeowners.

From the initial consultation, they took the time to understand my needs and concerns. The staff were friendly, patient, and answered all my questions with clarity, making sure I felt comfortable with my decision to go solar and I truly appreciated the absence of any high-pressure sales tactics, that I experienced with most other companies I quoted. They were very transparent and explained to me that they will arrive on an agreed date and explained, their own roofers will install the panels on the roof taking two days and then approximately two weeks later their own electricians will come and hook everything up.

Once the installation day arrived as agreed the Southern Solar Electrical team was prompt, professional, and incredibly efficient. They arrived on time and worked diligently to ensure everything was installed perfectly, they were extremely mindful of their own workmanship took great pride in their work. They carefully explained every step of the process and took the time to walk me through how the system works and how to monitor my energy production.

Now that my solar panels are up and running I have great peace with the massive warranty provided with 15 year battery & inverter warranty (best warranty I could find)and the panels 25 year product and 30 year performance warranty.

I installed a 7.92kw Solar PV Array with a 5kw Qcells Core Hybrid Inverter & 6.86kWh Qcells Battery, 18 Qcells panels (8 South facing and 10 South West facing)

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my decision to partner with Southern Solar Electrical for my solar installation. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and workmanship is truly commendable.
