My Purchase of the Moog MF-103 Moogerfooger Phaser
I recently had the opportunity to try Sound Reload, an online store for musical instruments, for a specific purchase. Living in Manchester, I usually avoid international orders due to potential customs issues. However, in this case, I was looking for a Moog MF-103 Moogerfooger 12-Stage Phaser pedal — a discontinued product that's notoriously hard to find.
In the B-stock/used section of Sound Reload, I found not one but two units of this pedal. Given the nature of these devices, the knobs often show signs of wear, but the staff assured me that these were early editions, never actually used — only featured in promotional shoots for the music magazine AgeofAudio.com. The price seemed reasonable to me, provided at least one of them was in mint condition.
I went ahead with the order, and the Moog pedal arrived in flawless condition, exceeding my expectations.
The only minor issue was an unexpected four-day delay in shipping, due to the handover between the Italian and UK couriers.
Despite this small hiccup, my overall experience with Sound Reload — including their customer service — was very positive.
