Søstrene Grene was my 10 year old daughter’s favourite store, unfortunately no longer.

My daughter bought a 2026 diary from Søstrene Grene’s Cheltenham store. She was really upset to find that the diary had been misprinted and the day/date of her birthday was incorrect. I encouraged her to reach out to Søstrene Grene to see what they might like to do, in order to apologise for such an oversight. I found their reply to be very dismissive, basically suggesting she return the diary to the store. I therefore wrote to them to explain how upset the diary had made my daughter and that returning the diary would entail a 30 mile round trip (specifically for that purpose) plus she hadn’t kept the receipt (which child does!), she had paid cash out of her pocket money and she had already written in it. Shockingly I received no reply. I would have thought that Søstrene Grene would have wanted to look after its future customers, especially ones who are 10 years old. Unfortunately they were unable to manage anything else other than a standard ‘stock’ reply and failed to even reply to my e-mail.

Needless to say my daughter does not want to shop in your store anymore.

Well done, Søstrene Grene.

Great online shop, has so many lovely things. Not yet found a store in the high street but know of one opening this week and can't wait to pop in.

Every year since I was 16, I've bought myself new Christmas decorations. It's a tradition I love, and over the years, I've built up quite a collection. I'd seen Søstrene Grene advertised on Facebook a few times over the last couple of years, but only now decided to place an order, and I have to say, they didn't disappoint. Their website is easy to use, their products are beautiful, excellent quality and I found the prices competitive and good value for money. I ordered several Christmas decorations, and I am so happy with them. They also sell a variety of excellent, non-Christmas-related products to delight you too. My purchases arrived beautifully packed with no single-use plastic in sight. They're my new favorite shop, and I would definitely recommend the company.

It was so easy to find everything I wanted online, check out and pay. Delivery was fast and efficient, and most of all everything was well packaged. One of my items was made of glass and unfortunately damaged, but I contacted customer support and was issued a refund straight away! Such amazing customer service, just another reason to love this shop!

The customer service is abysmal. Do not order any large purchases from this company. They have no telephone number so the only way to contact them is via email, which they take at least 24 hours to respond to, meaning that issues are laborious to resolve and in my case, like I have now read many others’ also, the issue was not resolved.

I ordered a total of 3 dining chairs from sostrene. The first was store bought and a the second web bought to match the first one. However, despite being labelled with the same product name, the fabrics were entirely different, so the first chair was returned to store with no issues and a third chair was bought online to match the second. However, after assembly, the two chairs were different heights and this was evidently due to differences in the shape of the chair - the sides were wider in one chair which made that chair shorter. I raised this and there have been almost 20 emails back and forth regarding this. They first advised to send photos of the assembly, specifically how the legs were assembled. We obliged and they suggested to change the positioning of the screws. We obliged again and they advised it’s likely mismatched because one chair was store bought (which was not the case and herein lies another issue with the service which is that the email chain is not read in its entirety so I have had to repeat myself on several occasions). They have never suggested a solution, never offered to send a replacement, no compensation has been offered and this is absolutely shocking to me. We are busy professionals kitting out our first home and this silly and trivial issue has taken significant time out of our lives for an extremely disappointing outcome (which is no outcome at all). I strongly urge you NOT to purchase from this company as the customer service is pretty non-existent. I am absolutely appalled by this company and I will not be recommending to any friends or family. I will be returning these chairs to the store now and I’m hoping that will at least go smoothly as talking to an actual staff member in person will be infinitely easier than dealing with these people online. They should be ashamed of this awful service and having read other reviews it looks like a repeated occurrence. Awful awful do not buy.

I ordered cookie cutters they are cute perfect and I can’t wait to use them. The metal cutters with handles are beautiful.

lovely store BUT very arrogant employees!!
I went to the store this evening to look for a specific item I saw online. I couldn't find it; therefore, I went to the employee to ask for help. I approached her, saying "sorry..." She immediately stopped me, put her hand up (stop sign) and continued walking. I was shocked, confused, angry... I NEVER HAD SUCH DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR FROM STORE EMPLOYEES until this evening, I am still in shock...

I bought two led xmas cottages in the Richmond store. They do not come with the required batteries. It would have been nice if the shop assistant had pointed that out. The required batteries are the small disc kind and very fiddly to install. I checked on line where it does note batteries not included but it says requires one battery when in fact it needs two and you need the tiniest screwdriver to access the battery port.

Wonderful quality at amazing prices, beautiful colours, fantastic designs, items arrived quickly and very well wrapped, I look forward to shopping here again
