they procrastinate so they can keep stealing money.. i canceled nearly a year ago and immediately received an email trying to convince me to stay with the company, and then a follow up email shortly after that.. they were quick to communicate then, but now they claim response time is 25 business days.. i never received my letter of relinquishment and emailed a month ago requesting it.. still no response at all.. they are still trying to claim my music and steal money from my family.. no number to call, simply the generic support email that is ignored.. i even dm’d on instagram because they sure are active on there, but no luck with a response either

Easy process!
Everything was easy to do. From registration to claiming my songs. I have an account with The MLC, but I’ll use this as my main source for that specific type of royalty.

Somethings are a little tricky like after you add a recording you can't click save you have to click cancel but overall it was a much better experience then some of the other websites I had to deal with in this process.

Regarding those tricky moments with saving recordings, we’ve recently introduced the Draft status to make our song registration process more flexible and clear. If you ever need to make a change, you can now edit your song details as long as the work is in the Draft or Monitoring status. For songs already in Monitoring, simply click "Revert to Draft" on the song's page to unlock those fields for editing.
We also wanted to mention that your registered songs are currently in the Monitoring phase. This means that our team has your data in hand and is moving through the essential steps of monitoring for royalty activity ahead of sending your songs out to our vast network of global collection societies where they may earn.

Regarding the ASCAP number, we require your IPI number (which is assigned by your PRO) to correctly identify you as a songwriter and ensure your royalties aren't sent to someone with a similar name.
As for the emails, we apologize for the confusion. Sometimes our system can take a moment to sync up after you’ve made an update, which can trigger a follow-up email even if you've already completed the task. We are working to make those notifications more real-time.
We also wanted to mention that all of your songs are currently in the Monitoring status. This means our team has received your information and is now actively monitoring for royalty activity across our network of collection societies around the world.

I haven’t received my first payment from any of my music in regards to Songtrust, so I can’t fully say that I’m satisfied with the experience yet.

It's important to note that collection societies often have their own minimum stream and payout thresholds and the song registration process takes time, so it may take a bit for streams to translate into processed payments. Your songs are currently in the Monitoring status, which means our team is monitoring your works for royalty activity ahead of sending them for registration at the societies around the world where they may earn.
The best way to reach payout thresholds quicker is to add more songs from your catalog to your Songtrust account (if you have them) and proactively market your songs that have been released!
