$50 fee to cancel about 35 minutes after ordering
I ordered a 36mm Date Mod watch and an extra bracelet for $384.98 on November 2, 2026. About 35 minutes later, I asked to cancel before shipment. Somerville confirmed that payment was still only authorized, not captured, but required a $50 cancellation fee. I asked for a one-time exception and also tried to keep the order with a different dial, which they said they did not have. They declined to waive the fee after reviewing my request.
The $50 fee is in their published policy. I found it disappointing and inflexible to apply it to such a quick cancellation. I have now instructed them to cancel with the fee and am awaiting confirmation. My one-star rating is for the cancellation and customer-service experience; I have not received or used the watch and cannot judge its quality.
