Installation was straightforward and everything was explained, couldn’t fault it, however we’ve since had a fault and have spent 2 months being passed between soly and GivEnergy and given the run aro... See more

Company has gone bust, deposit taken and no refund available. If you're in the same position, reach out to HIES for help
I've had my system installed January 2025 and the system has developed a problem. I tried to contact the Soly- Energy company since Mid-January 2026 and there has been no contact. The company does not answer my calls or reply to my emails. It seems to me that they have gone bankrupt. No after care service at all. Stay away from them. Is there an ombudsman that we can call for after care for this company does anybody know off. Just a thought.
Company now closed
The installers were good but now unable to get hold of Soly at all to get my battery set up correctly. Very frustrating as this company now seems to have closed :(
Non pushy and flexible sales staff which gave the time to identify my solar needs.
Installation was superb and carried out with care and attention to detail. The fitters had traveled over 200 miles on the morning of Installation. They were still with me for 0800 and set to work promptly. The Installation of 14 panels, inverter and battery were all professionally fitted, leaving my property in a good state of repair. Unfortunately this is where my good experience ended with SOLY.
Since mid December 25 I've had issues where the system either needs resetting often or the master fuse trips. This was highlighted to SOLY using SOLY's on line reporting tool located in the app. Even though an automated message was sent promising a response within 48 hours no email has been received. I then sent a new email at the beginning of 2026 but again no reply. I've tried phoning SOLY but again no response. I've recently found out that the company has gone into administration which explains no correspondence to my system fault reporting. Like other customers on this review platform, I'm not sure where or who to speak to about rectifying my solar issues seeing it is still covered under warranty. This has been a very expensive purchase which has only added to the overall running costs of my property.
They took our deposit and now no one's answering anymore. Nearly 3 months and zero answer from any one in the team or customer service. Probably time to take legal action. Stay away from them!
great installation and really persistent marketing and sales but 0 customer care afterwards. We had and continue to have a litany of issues and they are ignoring my calls and emails now.
Great until you need after care support. Then they dodge your calls and leave you with a leaking roof.
One man to put solar panels on roof and one electrician. They did not accept previous opinion of surveyor on location of battery in garage. I then didn't have time to fully process implications of location of battery in relation to need to make incursion into garage for proposed downstairs toilet, and was anxious about this after the electrician had left. However now think will work out OK. The solar panel man left without saying goodbye. I was surprised that Electrician needed to get back to the Midlands and felt he must be under pressure. Afterwards realised I should have asked them to move to a new location the heavy boxes they had moved in order to install the battery. I had to wait till Christmas to get family to do this so that could access a cupboard. Within a week or so of the job being completed I asked neigbour who had recommended company if had received the £300 for the referral to me. He had not, but said he would follow up. I trust this has now happenned
After initial quotation and installation experience , though difficult and fraught due to having to complete all pre-work myself, I now have a Reasonable installation.
I now have a problem that I need help with. I cannot achieve any contact with anyone. Poor service.
Service up until installation was great. Very communicative and timely. Provided good quote. However, customer aftercare has been radio silence. I have raised a query in relation to automatic transfer switch so the solar system functions when there are power interruptions but it has been over 2 months and I have yet to see a response. This is quite inconvenient because I was hoping to generate independent power when the grid is down but since I do not have an ATS, the solar energy system is useless without power from the grid. This was the whole point of getting solar energy system: to be independent from the grid.
Paid my deposit in July and it went downhill from there. They failed to get a DNO and after saying I could get my deposit back(£2.6K) nothing has happened. No answer to emails and telephone calls.
Firm have been unresponsive for some time after we paid for installation.
Apparently this company has collapsed holding customers' money and half-finished installations, also owing various contractors huge sums, but could not be bothered to tell anyone. I have £1190 owing to me for a deposit.
Received an email saying all installations put on hold. No explanation as to why. Have tried calling 50 times past couple of days to initiate a refund, no answer. Would not recommend
I paid my deposit promptly, and when Solys installers turned up on the day the panel installer said may roof tiles were wrong for their mounting system, the salesman called me a week later and said I could have a refund in 7-10 days if I emailed him my bank details, it did not arrive, so I got back in touch and was promised a refund by their case handler in 7-10 days on the 19/21/25 IT DID NOT ARRIVE! I've emailed and no reply, I've called and left a message (nobody picks up)
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY CAN'T BE RELIED UPON IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG.
Be aware that Soly customer services are well below the average. 7 months after the installation, they still have not submitted to HIES the information confirming completion of our Solar System. Hence, HIES cannot provide us with an insurance cover of a further 2 years in the event Soly ceases to trade. So far, we have been unable to reach Soly via the telephone and email. It is disappointing. Hence, Soly provide excellent installation work but assume that you will not have the insurance for the work they provided you with.
The conversation with Isaac was very informative. He listened to my queries and ideas considerately. He seemed to have a good grasp of the product and the implications for my property. He had a pleasant manner and was easy to talk to.
Super informative and knowledgeable. Was given all the information I needed and will most likely go ahead as the pricing seems reasonable compared to others I have had call me.
Very informative conversation. Able to answer specific questions lucidly and was obviously well informed.
Great customer service making the 1st steps simple and understandable. Clearly explained steps at every stage.
