Great for Finding Software Engineering Gigs

I've been using SolidGigs for a bit, and every day I get a bunch of freelance opportunities for my Software Engineer profile.

It saves me time since I don’t have to search everywhere myself. Not every gig is a perfect fit, but overall, it’s been really useful.

Worth checking out if you’re a freelancer.

A Promising Platform for Freelancers

SolidGigs is a great spot for freelancers; there's a ton of curated job opportunities available, and this truly helps cut down the process of looking for work. The team is very responsive and helpful - in particular, Bilal, who goes the length to help customers and helped me personally navigate an issue. Overall, this will be very handy for those planning on bringing their freelance career one notch higher.

dishonest policy and a money grab

dishonest policy and a money grab. please avoid! the free trial may charge you immediately and there are many reports of people being scammed for no leads and charged early.

Beware of the non refund policy and the auto 1-year subscription

In order to do your trial, you have to give your card's info. When trial ends you just get informed that you paid for 1 year subscription and that you cannot got refund because they don't have such a policy.

You have to stay alert all the time and remove your card before trial ends.

When I sent a panic mail about my lost money, they informed me about the no refund policy (is it actual legal sth like that??? I don't know) BUT they suggest me to give me my money back and if I want to leave a comment here.

So that's why I put a 3/5 and no 1/5. I just got my money back because they "did me the favor of giving my money back"

Edit based on the answer: I change the non refundable auto-purchase policy period from 2 to 1 year.

Hello, AndP. I'm sorry you've had a less-than-ideal experience with SolidGigs. We do request your credit card when signing up, but this is pretty standard for subscription products like ours.

However, we never EVER charge for 2 years at a time. The most we charge for at a time is 1 year and only if you select that at checkout in order to enjoy a discount on the monthly cost.

I'm glad we could ultimately get you your money back.

Clear, Helpful and Fast Customer Support

My experience with SolidGigs support was excellent. They responded quickly and provided a detailed answer to my questions about membership plans and gig updates. I appreciated the clarity of their response. There were no complicated tiers, just straightforward pricing options. They also explained how often they update gigs based on different industries, which was very helpful. The tone of the response was professional and friendly, making the experience even better.

Disgusting service

They talk about hundreds of requests, but during the trial week they sent only two, which were ABSOLUTELY irrelevant. I also had problems with payment and didn't get a response from their support, just a bunch of promotional emails.

Not gig but job aggregate platform

1. Mostly (only?) US jobs
2. It is not platform for gigs. It is platform for jobs. You will not find gigs.
3. No option to set up proper invoice. 4 emails to support were ignored.
Only useful if you are looking for JOB inside US and you do not require invoice. Otherwise - useless.

since there is no "reply" option, I'm replying here:
1. Settings are adjusted. Let me be more precise: 9 out of 10 jobs are US jobs. That is probably becasue mainly sources used are US based companies. And international sources (like LI) are giving me only US based jobs - despite I know there are other jobs in EU (YES, I have all countries enabled). I understand you focus on US market, but this makes service for EU customer quite useless.
2. I think this is a translation issue. "Gig" = "side hustle", not "full time job". 100% of what I receive are full time jobs. Useless for my needs.
3. No. I'm talking that you are not providing me proper invoice containing TIN data. I asked 4 times for invoice with my company details inside and never even received answer. That is: 7th August, 5th August, 31 July (two emails). There is no "point 4". It's 4 ignored emails.

To address your concerns:

Are we a job aggregate platform? Yes. Our landing page explains it:
"We Search Dozens of Sources—Our talented team of "gig hunters" along with powerful AI matching tools work together to search the most popular freelance job sources including job boards, marketplaces, RFPs, social media, and more."

1. Mostly (only?) US jobs -> You can adjust this setting in your search criteria so that your team of gig hunters knows what kinds of jobs to search for.

2. Not 100% sure what you mean by this, but we find jobs/gigs according to the criteria you give us. So if you are looking for more long-term gigs/jobs, that's what we add to your queue. Again, this can be edited in your search criteria.

3. Are you talking about invoicing clients? That's correct. We don't take any portion of your client paycheck (while others take 30% or more). So there's really no need to create client invoices within our platform.

4. Like I said, we responded on July 3. Then you ghosted us.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I would love to make things right for you on all of this. We can help you set up your search rules to match what you're looking for.
