We had a particularly awkward neighbour. The side of our property faces on to her driveway and she claimed it was a party wall (it is not). Her boundary is clearly defined on the Deeds. Her "concern" was that any armoured cable fitted on to our wall, further protected by solid conduit could be damaged accidentally by her or a member of her family, in particular her son, who played basketball on her driveway. She demanded that she speak to the solar company and proceeded to tell them how & where the cable was to be fitted on our wall. David was an absolute star and did his best to placate her and her demands. However, whilst the installers did their best to meet her requirements, it was established that an ugly and quite deep fuse box would need to be fitted to our side wall, which would have encroached over the boundary. We made the decision that this would be cause for complaint and gave the go-ahead to the installers to put the cable in a different place as this was the least intrusive way forward. Sorry about the further background on this, but it is important to demonstrate what David was up against with this neighbour. He handled the initial situation brilliantly even though he did not need to speak with her as quite frankly what we were having done to our house was really none of her business. Well done, David and thank you from us for all your assistance.
