Solar Battery Group Reviews 

I leave this, my 1st ever one star review, in the hope that others might avoid being misled and coerced in the same way my 75-year-old mother was by Solar Battery Group.

My mother originally paid a deposit for a 5kw battery for her existing 10-year-old 1.5 kW solar array and began the wait for installation. After a couple of months, my mother was contacted again by the Solar Battery Group to say that they could speed up installation if she moved up to purchasing a 10kw battery installation. She was assured that her existing 1.5kw solar array could charge the 10kw battery - this is coercion used to close a bumped up sale to an elderly woman who did not fully understand the details of solar arrays and batteries.

Added to this, her 1.5kw system could never have charged a 10kw system when calculated with usage data based on industry standard calculations. Especially given that her system is 10 years old, so running at a loss of 10% efficiency due to age. This begins to look like a lie told to convince my mother to spend more with Solar Battery Group and demonstrates that the Solar Battery Group deliberately sold my mother a product that is not fit for purpose.

I have tried contacting the company to resolve the issue three times over 2 months with 2 different staff members. They have not returned my calls.

I have now lodged a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading.

I would suggest avoiding this company for anything solar-related based on my experiences.

Process very easy anf all steps explained instal day all explained place left tidy after and all app use explained.

Everything was organised for me so it made the installation smooth sailing. The installer was very professional and show up on time and did a fabulous job.

I had a battery from Solar Battery Group installed in January this year and have been really happy with the process of purchase, installation, support and performance. I’m also happy with the app, which is easy to read and understand. Jan

While your sales team and installation team were great, and I have already given them a positive review, my experience with your after sales technical support process has been very different. On calling the 1300 number I got a call centre person who could not answer my queries and your system apparently prevented her from connecting me to someone who could! Instead she acted as a go-between, which took over 20 minutes (after the 25 minutes waiting to get through), and still could not address my issue. I've emailed you over a month ago to ask for a call back... silence.

I’m happy with the service and results. I now have a solat battery and credit on my electricity.

The result was what made the experience great. We have got a battery that matches our needs and it was installed by two enthusiastic young men who did a very neat job. I have spent 45 years in the electricity industry and it was great to see two tradesmen doing a first class job. I am also very happy with the app as it provides all the information I need to monitor and control the battery operation.

The sales agent was especially outstanding throughout the process. They were very patient, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and kept us updated every step of the way. We never felt rushed or pressured, and their communication gave us confidence that everything was progressing properly.
The application process was also handled efficiently, with regular updates and guidance whenever needed. Now that the installation is complete, we are extremely happy with the final result. The system is working well, and it feels great knowing we are making better use of solar energy while reducing our power costs.
Overall, it has been a very positive experience, and we would happily recommend this company to others considering a solar battery installatioN.

Very disappointed with the after-sales support from Solar Battery Group.

My battery system is currently not working, and trying to get assistance has been an exhausting experience. I have spoken to more than five different people, been transferred multiple times, had calls disconnect, and promised callbacks that never happened.

The biggest frustration is not just the battery fault itself, but the complete lack of communication and accountability. Every time I contact support, I have to explain the entire situation again from the beginning, with no clear ownership of the issue.

When you invest in a solar battery system, you expect reliable support when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience at all.

I hope management takes these complaints seriously and improves their customer service processes because customers should not have to chase basic support for a non-functional system.

I had a very smooth and seamless experience with the installation of my Solar battery recently. Right from the start, all the staff I interacted with have been polite, knowledgeable and punctual in keeping appointments. All queries and clarifications I had were cleared promptly.
