I've recently had 14 x 415w Jinko solar panels fitted by solar-techs along with a sun synk 3.6 ECCO hybrid inverter and 2 x 5.12kwh IP rated sun synk batteries. From start to finish the job has been floorless and from the initial consultation with David on Friday and finalising with Alex over the weekend we agreed an installation day the following Wednesday! Which was just amazing.
Ben, Liam and Sam were the installation team on the day and did a great job, Sam answered all my technical question of how the system would work and what was what and between them got the whole system fitted in one day 9am-5pm.
After the install Alex then fine tuned how the system worked and explained the more complex options with the inverter and how to change settings like timers charge rates etc through the sun synk app.
What I liked about solar-techs before excepting the quote was Alex's personalised video of what I can expect from the system and showing examples of other systems they've installed and how they perform and how all the information will be shown on your online account.
Alex has been back to the house after install to cast eyes over the install and to make sure I'm happy.
Initially i was unsure at first about choosing solar-techs because of the lack of Google reviews but it seems to have been a great choice and the system has already produced up to a 5777 watt peak on one day in August, I know it won't always be that high but it's reassuring it's capable of it.
I think they are now going to ask for more reviews off people after installs to boost the business and it's also reassuring to know they have master installer status.
All in all I'm really happy with the system and I'm confident the equipment installed will last a lot longer than the warrantied time.

I couldn’t thank these lads enough from start to finish.. Alex went over leaps and bounds to make sure our solar was hitting peak performance.. turned up on agreed date and didn’t leave till it was up and running.. Alex came back and back tweaking to make sure we got max out of what we paid for.. and as he would say it’s now ‘humming’ I recommend solar tech for there hard work and professionalism and I got what I paid for

One of the most professional and efficient companies i’ve had the pleasure of doing business with them.
The whole team were very helpful from my first phone call with them.
Alex was attended on the survey day and had an amazing presentation that explained all you needed to know about solar panels.
After doing my research, I got back in contact with him the next day and the fitting was booked within 3 days!
The whole team that came were very professional and on the ball.
They finished the work in half a day and the solar panels were up and running.
Six weeks down the line now, I’m glad to say my electricity savings have come down from £300 a month (as i have an electric car) to £70 and that was without the export as the export tariff takes about 4 weeks or so to set up by the electric company.
I expect that by the end of this month with the current export rate, I’ll probably be self sufficient and not pay for any electricity from the grid during the summer months.
Overall, an A+ experience and would highly recommend the company.

Solar techs are an efficient effective and reliable company. The company delivered a full solar and EV package for my house and car. The company/Alex answered all our questions during the on site physical survey. The project was delivered to the exact scope of works agreed as per contract. I would have no hesitation recommending this company to anyone considering improving the efficiency or sustainability for their home/car. Additionally the after sales service is excellent.

Brilliant company, Lilly initial contact very helpful nothing to much, from start to finish of quote/survey to installation of solar panels & battery. Received other quotes about 10, Solar techs seem to provide the best equiptment than other companies, very competitive. really knowledgeable, Alex easy going but very profesional no pressure. Gave us clear advise how to get the most out of the solar panels. Excellent choice which we are very pleased about. Alex came to do the hand over with a very comprehensive pack, and demonstrated how to use the app. Not to forget the installers, very clean and tidy didn't even notice they had been. Had a bit of a banter specially Ben & Ben. I would recommend this company no hesitation, and best of all local and from Hull what more can u ask for.

The installation was quick and at a ver reasonable price for the quality of the kit installed. It’s now been in 4 months and is generating roughly double what was quoted so should pay for itself long before expected. Very attentive staff and aftercare has been impressive. I shoul soon be selling back to the grid as well as reducing my monthly energy bills. Have recommended to friends and neighbours.

Solar Techs, fantastic company to work with. Would whole heartedly recommended, it was a great pleasure to work with such passionate professionals (self confessed geeks). Quick friendly service going the extra mile. Very pleased with the installation, clean and tidy. The data and the payback better than expected. The design was bespoke and future proofed.
Dave put the 2nd best inverter cupboard set up for me Second only to Alex in Tickton.

What an amazing company to fit my solar and battery. Fantastic communication from the beginning and after care. Made sure you understand everything through the whole journey of solar with a printed project pack, too. Solar-Techs provided our solar panels with bird protection and SunSynk convertor/batteries in late November 2022.

I contacted Solar-Techs via email with Hannah responding by phone to discuss my specifications and permutations available for my location and house.

Alex provided us with a technical site visit and discussed the options for my house and electrical usage - 14 Panels delivering 9.5kw, 3.85kw Inverter and 2 x 5,1kw batteries. Having sourced 2 other quotes and researching online for inverters, batteries as provided in the other companies quotes I opted for Solar-Techs. Solar-Techs provided the most competitive price, plus I liked the fact that the solar panels ran on two separate strings to the inverter.

Alex then provided a timeline which fitted in with my work commitments and the installation followed shortly afterwards.

The engineers turned up on the day, they undertook the work in a timely manner, very polite, professional and thorough, the job was completed in a day. The engineers discussed with my wife on how the cables would be routed. However, I did not have the batteries installed at this time as they were out of stock. The batteries arrived and were fitted in December.

The sunsynk app is easy to use, I initially had a few issues with the battery settings after discussions with Alex the settings were tweaked and the issues were resolved.

Even though December is not the most efficient time to have solar panels fitted our panels have performed 117% more efficiently than the estimate provided by Alex on his technical visit.

Very happy with the installation, the way it went and the support from Solar-Tech - extremely organised and efficient, nothing is too much trouble for the guys and recommend this company who were and still are happy to answer any of my questions.

Solar techs worked on our new build property in October 2022, They provided a quote for a system of 6.7Kw solar, 10Kw battery, bird control and zappi charger. I completed an online form and was quickly contacted by Hannah from the design team who was very helpful in talking me through the various options, the quote offered was by far the cheapest i'd received and offered far superior equipment (I spent a lot of time google searching solar equipment). The technical survey was carried out the next day and Alex was extremely patient as i was distracted taking work calls during the process.

The team were very keen to discuss cable routes and positions so as not to ruin the aesthetic of the property which my partner was over the moon with as in her words she didn't want "ugly cables dangling everywhere" .

The system was installed quickly and with a professional ease. Dave, Ben and James were outstanding and i couldn't be happier with their work. It was honestly a joy to have the guys round, it was clear they enjoyed their work.

Since the install iv had a few silly questions which Alex has been only too happy to answer, he has excelled in cutting through the technical jargon. Don't hesitate with these guys and girls you will not be disappointed.

After 5 quotes for solar panels and solar battery from companies out of town. I decided to start getting quotes locally from the good folk within Hull and the east riding. I contacted solar tech and was professionally greeted by the lady in the office (Hannah)

Hannah then asked me simple questions such as how much electricity I use a year and what size system I was after and if I wanted a battery with it. Having passed over my information to her, she was able to quote me roughly on what was the best system for me. This was subject to a home visit from the engineers who fully measured my roof. This is were solar tech impressed me the most because they managed to use the space on my roof better than anybody else did that quoted me. They could get more panels onto the roof than what appeared possible and while keeping to strict protocol and regulations.

The job was done swiftly (not rushed) and within 3 days. It was complete. Now for the results....

At first, the system did have teething problems which was mainly due to the battery settings not quite being set correctly. I knew this because I have octopus energy app and could see what difference the solar panel system had on my daily electricity usage. Now baring in mind this was the month of November, I wasn't expecting my system to power the mkm stadium or hull fair for that matter....I just wanted to see some slight changes when I logged into the octopus energy app. I wasn't seeing what I wanted to see so I informed solar tech about this and they quickly popped round to alter a few things and sorted out what needed sorting. The engineer dave was professional in his work along with the owner Alex and Hannah the lady in the office all gave great customer service.

The system is working nicely and I can't wait for March when days get longer and then June when I can charge my electric car up for free!
