We had a very pleasant time browsing around the shop, provided with the useful tips at the start and left to explore freely. When we made a decision to order our sofa, we had a very informative and efficient meeting. Putting the order and sorting out financials felt straightforward. Our sale assistant was helpful, well informed and highly professional. Great experience, thank you.

Was allowed to walk round with no pressure until I found the sofa I liked then an assistant showed me the color I liked on another sofa then bought and paid for Paramount sofa just waiting for sofa now

James the store manager and ray were brilliant. Couldn’t ask for anymore. They left us alone, when could see we were trying everything out. Then made us feel right at home when we were set on our dream sofa! Nothing was too much trouble.

I really had smooth and great experience in purchasing sofa. People are very patient and i've been to sofology almost 3 times to decide the right sofa alway staff are welcomed and they don't expect to you to buy on the first visit encourage to take time rather than rushing for the sale to happen

Staff in the store at Milton Keynes were very helpful polite and professional. The product was ordered I was given a lead time of when to expect the goods. The product ordered arrived on time was well packaged and delivered professionally. I have only positive things to say about this company.

Great service and advise

We visited the Sofology store in Milton Keynes to look at sofas and found one we really liked. The salesperson told us the sofa was available from clearance as new, at a good discounted price, and that it would be delivered in about 3 weeks. Based on that information, we decided to go ahead with the purchase.

The sofa was delivered on 6 September, but unfortunately it arrived with missing and damaged parts. The recliner's back piece was missing, and the chaise base was broken. The delivery team therefore had to take the sofa back.

Since then, I have spent considerable time contacting customer service to find out what was happening. After a week, I was told they needed images from the depot to assess the damage. On 16 September, someone from customer service contacted me and said they could return the sofa and repair it at our home.

At this point, I explained that we had purchased what was presented to us as a new, clearance sofa, not a refurbished or damaged sofa, and asked whether Sofology could offer some further compensation/discount given what had happened. This was refused. I also specifically asked whether they had located the missing recliner part, but I did not receive a clear answer.

Today, when I contacted customer service again, I was told the only option was to cancel the order and place a completely new order at full price.

So after five weeks of waiting, repeated calls, a failed delivery, a damaged sofa, missing parts and considerable inconvenience — none of which was caused by us — the proposed resolution is for us to start again and pay full price.

This is extremely frustrating. The original discounted price was part of the reason we agreed to purchase the sofa, and we should not be put back to square one after Sofology's failure to deliver the product as agreed.

The issue isn't just the sofa itself; it is the lack of ownership and the time and hassle involved in trying to get a straightforward resolution.

I expected much better from Sofology. I hope someone senior reviews this case and offers a reasonable resolution rather than simply asking the customer to cancel and start again.
