A negative situation turned positive

After writing the review below , 12 hours later I was contacted by customer service with a full refund and the shipping cost for the return was also reimbursed . I appreciate the quick response and the follow up.
I really hope my aggravation never transpires again with anyone else.
With such a quick response I am lead to believe that customer service is a key factor here and hopefully my situation was just a one time event.

For years I visited the sofitel hotel in Bangkok and fell in love with the bedding.
I am changing homes and decided to wait to purchase all new bedding when I move.
I spent over 1700 swiss francs in a feather mattress and two complete sets of sateen linen.
The ordering and delivery was faster than expected. the packaging was lovely.
Here is where the rest of the story goes very fustrating. the duvet covers have no buttons or zippers but a flap.
Absolutely dissappointing, my Duvet slipped out every time out of the flap. I had them tailored with zippers which cost me another 200 swiss francs.
the feather bed was sent back the next day because, I was not happy with what I received.
I had to pay for the return cost which was another 50 swiss francs.
The box departed on June 18 and was lost somewhere in customs in France . I had several exchanges with customer service, who answered promptly and politely but very, very disconnected and unhelpful. I found out after over a month of this very expensive mattress sitting somewhere, that an invoice is necessary for it. I asked again customer service to help. It was just a quick call to customs for them to verify the cost. I provided the number to them.
However they said its none of their business and cannot help. The box was finally cleared a few days ago and I wrote them again. The reply was, it takes 14days after receiving for the warehouse to notify them and the goods still needs inspection and approved for refund.
These products cost a lot and I think buttons or zippers should be added on the Duvet covers . Customer Service can also take more interest in helping customer whom may be experiencing issues with return,like I did.
These points for me will elevate the quality of Sofitel Boutique

Regarding the duvet covers, we regret that their closure did not meet your personal preference. We would like to specify that our product page does not mention a button or zip fastening; the duvet covers are described as featuring an envelope closure.
Our customer service closely monitored the progress of your featherbed return and kept you informed via email once you provided us with the tracking number.
While you informed us that customs had requested a declaration of the item's value and provided us with a contact number, the information provided by the carrier indicated that the delay was not related to the value declaration, but to the missing document required for customs clearance. After you provided the document to the carrier, your parcel was successfully cleared through customs and released for delivery.
We informed you that our return procedure requires up to fifteen working days following receipt of your parcel at our warehouse, in order to complete the necessary inspection and process the refund. We are pleased to inform you that your featherbed has been fully refunded. We have also refunded the complete shipping costs that were paid on our website as a commercial gesture to maintain a positive relationship with our customers.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused and truly appreciate your feedback regarding the importance of responsive customer service.

After initially experiencing some issues with the mattress and overall comfort, I contacted the customer service of Sofitel Boutique.
I’m happy to update that my concerns have been handled professionally and resolved in a proper and customer-friendly way. The communication was clear, and they made a genuine effort to find a solution.
While the initial experience was disappointing, I appreciate how the situation was ultimately managed. It shows that they do take customer feedback seriously.
In the end, I’m satisfied with how this has been resolved and grateful for the support provided by their customer service team.

Sleep is the vitamin everyone is…
Sleep is the vitamin everyone is missing out on. If you are lucky you get 8 hours of sleep a night. Why spend it in an OK bed when you can sleep like someone on a 5 star luxury holiday for every night for years to come? If you are really lucky like I was you will find a time when Sofitel Boutique are offering a special discount. These guys ship to the corners of the earth and in my case the the very far edge of europe in the middle of no where. Buy the whole set including the amazing sateen weave cotton bed linen and make sure the pillows and duvets are natural fibers like the goose down. If you do not believe me ....go stay in the Sofitel and try the bed out it is an unforgettable experience.

The bed is so comfortable
The bed is the most comfortable I have ever bought. I feel cocooned when I’m in it!
The bedding is lovely and soft but the duvet cover would benefit from fasteners at the bottom as the flap hangs strangely.

Since staying at the Sofitel Faubourg Paris I couldn’t get the bathrobes out of my mind. They were just so lovely. I tried others but they didn’t come close so I ordered one. It was expensive and the delivery charge was on top but it came very quickly and was as lovely as I remembered. Will last me for years and bring me comfort so what price can you put on that?

Pillows arrive one week before the schedule date, which is a plus. We have tried a few pillows before but end up going for the Sofitel brand as we always had a great night of sleep at the hotel.

Easy navigation, fully detailed product info, account creation and the linkage to AccorALL to either redeem or accrue points.
Very fast shipping and delivery from France to Germany in 2 days.
The only 'little' downside is the very expensive shipping cost and I would have liked to have a choice between the speedy and great UPS delivery and maybe a slower but more affordable shipping via French and German Post.

I had a very positive experience ordering from the Sofitel Boutique.
The customer service was excellent, the order was processed quickly, and the delivery was flawless. I initially paid by bank transfer and contacted customer support to confirm the transaction. My call was answered immediately, and I was clearly reassured that everything would be completed shortly — which it was.
The products themselves are outstanding. Getting into bed genuinely feels different: exceptionally soft, comfortable, and refined. The mattress topper, pillows, and bedding significantly enhance the quality of sleep, and even the sheets feel remarkably luxurious.
I was so satisfied with my purchase that I later ordered additional items for members of my family. The overall experience has even made me reconsider my entire bed setup, as the comfort level is truly impressive.
