Complete scam
Shocking the gull of him
My previous review is missing.
I paid £900 for a record box set. Once it was released I emailed for a ETA. Five weeks later after several emails Scott said if I paid an extra £200 he’ll send the boxset. I refused. In the end I had to charge back on my card for a refund.
Do not touch this fraudster.
Just buy elsewhere and save the hassle.
I mean honestly... just avoid this guy! I ordered a supposedly in stock Shibata stylus for my cherished Technics SL7 deck on 8th February 2023 for £135.92 to include express delivery. He tricked me into making a bank transfer with the claim his online invoicing was down. Bad mistake that I fell for this. Needless to say after weeks of odd irrelevant excuses the stylus never arrived and neither did the refund he seemed to accept was due. Only today some 28 weeks after the purchase have I seen him credit my account with the refund in full after I started action against him at Hamilton Sheriff's Court (an easy online process). His respect for customers is non-existent and emailed excuses both nonsensical and untrue. For example at the 6 week point when it looked like he may voluntarily refund he tried to blame the delay on my wanting a stylus for, and I quote, "4 week special order from Japan, only sold one 14yrs ago"... shortly followed by "part for 40yr old turntable, sell one a decade". This demonstrates how he will make any excuse true or not as his website today offers 17 models of stylus for my turntable with 9 claimed in stock and the rest available in 7 days. Yet he couldn't get one to me in half a year. NB. When I realised Scott Nangle was a lost cause back in March I found a great sounding stylus delivered from DaCapo in Denmark for under £60 inc fast delivery so thankfully haven't missed out on my music.
So much stress involved with this…
So much stress involved with this company. He has my money, I have no vinyl records. His communication is almost non-existent. When I do get an answer, he says 'tracking number to follow' but it NEVER does (and neither do my records or any refund). To rub salt in, his communication is dire, yet he posts numerous times on Facebook every single day - listing more items he'll never get in stock and luring in more unsuspecting victims. He's a scammer and a thief. Luckily a group of burnt customers are pooling together to take it down a legal route - it should never have got to this though. Believe EVERYTHING you read about snvinyl and Scott Nangle (and whoever Alex Nangle is).
I have been waiting for the discs for…
I have been waiting for the discs for several months. does not respond to messages. the discs have been paid for. save your nerves and buy the records somewhere else.
Incompetent / useless / disorganised
I can only concur with many of the reviews and experiences listed on trustpilot.
I ordered several MFSL / UHQR vinyl recordings at an order value of over £1600. As they were ordered ahead of release, I expected a delay. However, once it became apparent that other vendors had the items in stock, I asked SN Vinyl for an update.
Initially, the owner was on holiday. Then, after querying again, I received a "tracking number to follow" message. Then nothing.
The info@snvinyl email address on the website was no longer working, nor another email address listed on the website. The mobile numbers were also not connected.
Fortunately, I was able to challenge through the credit card company and get full refund. DO NOT pay SN Vinyl by bank transfer as you will be left high and dry. They are also known to local trading standards in South Lanarkshire.
Forget the few quid cheaper advertised on SN Vinyl, save yourself the pain, stress and time and order elsewhere
I ordered an item
I ordered an item. After 3 weeks i contacted them. No reply. After 3 emails they wrote back with 4 words.l: in stock and shipping.
After 2 weeks still not arrived.
Scamming company.
Money gone.
Be careful with this company.

If you are a one man operation as reported on the various review sites of your business you should seriously consider employing another person to assist you in catching up on your (many) outstanding orders. This would also allow time to respond properly to customer queries and complaints and may allow you to answer your telephone and deal with email enquiries properly and in a timely manner.
Also as a one man operation I do find it strange that you do seem to focus a lot of your energies on advertising product on Facebook - which is very surprising as you don’t have time to fulfil orders and deal with customers. Perhaps it is time for a refocus of your business priorities - which is of course your customers.
You never know your current trip advisor rating and other reviews may then start to improve.
Has no interest in customers.
So sad. I don’t think this guy is a crook but he is disorganised, abrupt, rude and doesn’t a flying toss for the people who place orders with him. I wish I’d known this way back when I first got involved. He’ll tell you that things have been sent (maybe they have), but won’t give you the tracking number he claims to have and then, when they don’t show up, unilaterally refunds what you paid - minus the money he won’t prove he spent on shipping. He had my cash for 6 months. Customers, it seems, are inconvenient. So, while he prevents you contacting the Post Office as you don’t have a tracking number, he won’t engage with them either to see how they messed up (if indeed they did) and leaves you out of pocket. If this mess wasn’t down to him, why won’t he help get to the bottom things? This guy (Scott? Alex? Who knows!) is more trouble than he’s worth because he doesn’t take time to engage with customers - and certainly not in full sentences! He’s only interested in his own problems, not yours. Steer clear.
Packaging++ Service-
Ordered 2 LP’s on 1st May. Waited for 5 weeks then queried what happened to my order. Got a reply saying records in the post and they arrived today. Service is very slow but the records arrived in the best packaging I’ve ever seen. I think communication could be greatly improved but I eventually received my order and I’m happy with the outcome. Packaging deserves 5* but service 2* so I compromised at 3.
Disorganised but good product
I'm afraid I have to agree with most others who have written reviews about this company. I ordered a specific stylus of nearly £100, payment was taken immediately, but I had to phone Mr Nangle two weeks later to find out what was happening. He told me he runs a one-man business but he agreed to put it in the post straightaway. Ten days later, still nothing. I phoned, then emailed and got an apology and he said that he'd put the item in the post - and indeed, it arrived several days later, a month after ordering it.
I must say, it was neatly packed, no issues there. Happily Mr Nangle sent me the correct item and it's working very well - great sound!
My general advice would be: if you do business with this guy, be aware that he seems to be disorganised. You need to stay on top of it to get what you ordered.
How I wish I had read the reviews on…
How I wish I had read the reviews on Trust Pilot before parting with my money to this scammer. Ordered a D12GX stylus, paid on 29th April 2023. Have never received so much as an acknowledgment of my order and no replies to my repeated emails requesting a refund. It's now 4th June 2023 and I am simply out of pocket to the tune of £171.00. Do not place any orders with this con man it will only lead to frustration and the loss of your money. I don't understand how is still allowed to trade, judging from the other reviews, this is outright theft plain and simple.
Eye-wateringly bad outfit. Fraudster. Avoid at all costs
Eye-wateringly bad outfit, unfit to retail. Avoid. He is a one-man, home-based retailer with few high value items in stock, appalling levels of communication and a distain for customer respect and service.
I ordered a Stanton Shibata stylus on 8th March 2023, paid £163 in full on 10.3.23. No delivery or updates until 24 April. He said that it was out of stock, on back order from Japan and some self-pitiful claims that he was working long shifts. He offered a refund. I duly gave bank details. Still no refund. It is now June 2nd 2023. No stylus, no refund. No replies to emails, and if I text number 07508616095, the reply is gibberish texts attempting to say "do not text, email only".
We are now at stalemate, awaiting his response to a failure to provide goods demand recently served by Hamilton Sherrif Court.
I join the chorus of let-down, out of pocket and disappointed customers who review him: "Avoid Scott Nangle and Snvinyl at your own risk."
Very suspicious outfit
Appalling. Waiting over 2 weeks for items supposedly in stock. No replies. I don’t expect them to arrive. I looked back over my previous purchases and also discovered one that was never delivered last summer (more fool me for not noticing it then).
This is a scam
This is a scam. I placed 5 orders and he claimed he was unable to see them due to me having 5 accounts. I never opened any accounts. I got some vinyl but by no means all. When i wrote to him about an order of several hundred £s he went silent. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID
SNVINYL WASTE OF TIME
Item ordered and paid for including shipping costs. After a few weeks no item. Contacted Scott Nangle of SNVINYL and he gave me a sob story that he had years of backlogged orders to work through, three pallets full. Agreed to give him more time and after another few weeks asked about my order. He told me a tracking would follow that week but nothing. Emailed him a couple of weeks later to be told the item was sent 'several weeks ago'. Asked for the tracking number as promised but no response, when I pressed him on this he responded by saying refund sent. Advised him I wanted the item to be replaced and not a refund but he told me the refund had already been sent. This nonsense went on for weeks without any refund being sent and eventually had to get my bank to retrieve it. He's an absolute con man and a liar. He still contacts me with random brief emails with bizzarre excuses. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with this weirdo and go elsewhere.
Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company, the reviews are all true. Faulty item received after a delay of 2 weeks (first sign). Goods returned and one month later no sign of a refund (I bought elsewhere so a replacement item was not required). Emails are ignored, phone calls to mobile are ignored, calls to the houseline normally answered by Scott Nangles wife are either cut off or Scott is at the post office, away for 7 days or any other excuse you care to think of. Totally awefull communication, business practices and ethics. Stay away....you have been warned....and under no circumstances pay by bank transfer as you will need every bit of protection you can get.
Avoid at all costs
Placed order and paid by BACS as requested….waited….chased ‘one man shop, processing order’…..waited….chased ‘back order processing next week’. One month on no goods and no refund as promised. Avoid and check reviews before parting with your money.
Great communication
Great communication. After several delays by the record company Scott pulled pulled through - top man!
I will definitely use SNvynil again.
Most strange operation
Most strange operation. Ordered a few things paid for them and in an email commented on all his recent negative reactions. Was told should not believe everything one reads. Out of the blue receive a refund, not asked for, and from then no communication.
So signed up with different email adderess ordered an LP but money has not been taken and again no communication. I think all the stuff on his site about this ,that and the other being in stock is a load of cobblers.
Who knows what is going on, frankly now I do not care.
