College Placement
My son used SMUSA to help find the right college in the US to continue his education and keep playing soccer at a good level. Stephen made navigating an unfamiliar process much easier. He was always easy to communicate with and answered our questions……there were a lot of questions! His broad knowledge of universities and colleges and the college system helped us to find the right fit. Claire in the office was invaluable at helping us navigate the application process and the visa applications etc. it’s early days in my son’s college career, but I’m sure Stephen will be there to advise throughout the next few years.

We always appreciate positive and negative feedback but instead of a 'very bad experience' could you elaborate on why it was a very bad experience ?
Having asked for further information we thought we would provide some insight. SMUSA run events all over the country to provide information and exposure for players considering the US route. Some events have over 30 players for the most part and unfortunately due to summer holidays and conflicts we do have some events with lower numbers and on this occasion in Limerick we had only 10 show with 28 names on the list.
The event is not just about assessing ability levels but also providing feedback, a presentation, and follow up for review on what can be done next regarding getting video footage and what it might take to pursue the USA route.
Because on the day the 'very bad Experience' is in relation to the session and limited players on the day but one thing SMUSA did on the day was act professionally providing a session and a talk after the event.
We always say with the USA route we don't just deal with soccer players but good people with supportive families that want to pursue the University route while also combining the full time environment of playing College Soccer in America.
Definitely not a case we are 'selling a dream' or getting 'scripted testimonials' made up as what was claimed. We've not been in this industry for over 20 years by having claims throwing around and will continue to run events and treat everyone the same if we have 30 players or five players turn up for our events.
We also recommend for our events that at least one parent should express interest and stay for the event so they know exactly what is being provided on the day and the information provided. That way they can write the review on trustpilot as opposed to their 16 year old son saying "he had a bad experience "
