Very good and simple process and friendly approach by assesssor

I had multiple issues with my account, I had to call multiple times to correct multiple issues issue. When completing the application I had issues with the adviser who was going through my application and had to have multiple conversation with him to resolve something that should not have been an issue to begin with. Overall the experience was unsatisfactory.

Just brilliant from start to finish. Diligent and attentive as well as informed and efficient. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Excellent service however we also use Citation and as the two are linked I do not understand why the information here cannot be transported more readily.

The process is getting better but the reason i did not give 5 stars is that we subscribe to atlas citation which i believe is the same company as SMAS, it would speed things up considerably if SMAS accessed the information that i have on the atlas system rather than me download it and upload it onto SMAS

Sashless Windows manufacture timber windows and doors, and as a part of our business we offer a limited installation service. We are not a window installation business, we are not a main contractor, we simply offer a service to our customers.
More and more of the contractors and builders that we deal with require PQQ assessments on H&S to be carried out, as do more and more framework agreement tenders for the Public Sector.
We have held off for many years applying for a SSiP accreditation on the basis that we didn't need it, it was another overhead cost and we had all of the relevant paperwork - so what would it add to the bottom line.
If only we had realised how straightforward SMAS make it to apply, and how simple and practical the application submission is we would have applied years ago and saved ten's of hours of typing, uploading, scanning and emailing data to our prospective (and current) customers.
After submitting our application we received an email asking for more information to explain one of our answers, and rather than leave it at that, we received a courtesy call to explain what was needed and why.
We provided the information and hours later received an email saying that we had passed and our accreditation was waiting online.
Simple, straightforward and cost effective.

A simple enough process but pushy after sales, we are apparently only worthy if we pay more and have additional features - at least thats what the sales person said.

Easy to complete. However, we are a H&S Consultancy and found that a number of the questions were aimed at Contactors. It would be useful to have a Consultants category.

The advice and guidance was second to none, assessor Michael Milton provided the most comprehensive guidance

I dread having to do this every year, being a small company of 12 employees and only a dinosaur like me in the office.
But surprisingly, and with the help of my external H & S adviser, it was ok this time. I was pleasantly surprised to have got everything right first time, although I was better prepared this year.

A fast & efficient service provided by SMAS. Easy to follow guides for the assessment and good quality support if and when required.
