I had a generally positive experience…

I had a generally positive experience with Smartroom. Booking was a breeze as I reached out on a Wednesday and secured a slot for Sunday. The driver was very helpful, especially with handling fragile items and making an extra stop to pick up more boxes. The storage units were clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, it’s worth noting there was a significant price increase for returning goods, which was unexpected. Despite this hiccup, the overall service was efficient and reliable. Would recommend with some caution regarding pricing on returns.

Stay away! Raising return fees and damaging my belongings

Stay away!! They raise the price to return your goods (feels like extortion) and they literally throw things around that were marked fragile upon the return.

We signed a contract based on a return fee of £30 and when we asked it to be returned they refused to return it unless we paid £120. We didn't have a choice in the matter.

When they were unloading our boxes - even in front of us the mover was throwing the boxes around and off the truck. Throwing. They were marked fragile and had plates (among other things) in them. When I asked him to stop throwing them he got aggressively mad at me. Needless to say many of our belongings were broken because of his aggressive and careless behaviour (even though they were securely packed).

Of course, in line with their apparent character, smartroom took no responsibility and we are just out all the extra money to replace the goods they broke.

Can’t say it enough - stay away from these people!

Regarding the return fee, we understand your frustration. The initial offer of £30 for the return service was valid for a specific period of time of 6 months, and unfortunately, it had expired by the time you requested the return. Additionally, the weight of your boxes exceeded the safe standards and carrying limit for our movers due to health and safety regulations. As such, we had to provide you with the current competitive rate for the service.

In regard to the handling of your belongings, Our utmost priority is to handle our customer's items with the utmost care and respect. To avoid any potential damage during transportation, we always recommend our customers to use appropriate packing materials, such as bubble wrap, to safeguard fragile items. Securing delicate items using paper tissue and closely packing them can indeed increase the risk of breakage during transit. We genuinely regret the inconvenience caused by this.

We understand the value of your belongings, and we deeply regret that some items were damaged during the process. However, please be informed that we are not able to take responsibility for any items not appropriately packed.

Stress free service

I recently used a self-storage service for the first time and glad i chose Smartroom. The facility was clean, well-maintained, and easily accessible, making it simple to store and retrieve my items whenever I needed to. Pick up and delivery were quick and at the time i was expecting. Great pricing and experience!

Would definitely recommend!

Made a stop with no extra pay

I had a pleasant experience with smartroom. Reached out to them on Wednesday and was already booked for Sunday. Great driver, helped me upload all the boxes, had special cables to fix TV and soft covers to cover the screen which was very nice since I was worried the screen might get scratched. Made an additional stop at Stratford to pick up some boxes and the driver also helped me get the boxes to the apartment

Amazing service

Honestly the best experience ever. Staff is quick to respond, they are all very nice and everything is super efficient. They take care of the entire process end to end and are just so pleasant to work with. Have used them twice now and would highly recommend.

Class act by the lads and Outstanding Service

I literally was dreading the arrival of the Smartroom storage van, I wasn't nearly ready and frankly in a messy chaos. Then this two lovely lads from staff smart room arrived and told me not to worry, he could easily manage and he did!

He took over the whole process even repackaged some of my items that I had been attempting to 'stuff' with belongings. The service he provided was absolutely outstanding well above and beyond anything l've ever experienced. Above all, the management staff was very friendly and courteous, I told them I was gobsmacked because I really was, the service was absolutely terrific.

Keep up the good work guys, and Huge thanks to the lads!

Movers were sooo nice and sweet

Movers were sooo nice and sweet. Used them twice, and would absolutely recommend to friends. One of the only places I called that would store items without having to personally lock the unit, and pickup on weekend. Easy comms over text and great pricing.

Impossible to get my stuff back.
DON'T TRUST THEM
They don't answer emails, WhatsApp or private messages on social networks and the few times someone does answer the phone, they hang up when I make an appointment to send my boxes to my new place.
I've been trying to reach Smartroom for weeks to get my stuff back.

Truly customer-focused young and ambitious team

Elnur and the team operate in an increasingly complacent industry.
They aim to be different by providing bespoke services rather than forcing customers to sign up to a draconian set of "terms & conditions".
One of a few examples - the team is flexible enough to charge you based on how much space you actually use, rather than min room size which you are forced to take with bigger players. Also, you don't have to schedule packing & the pick-up dates weeks in advance: folks are pretty much available throughout the business day and are very reasonable pricing-wise.
