Purchased two gates
Purchased two gates, and extra piece to use on stairs. The stair option didn't work for my old house. But the gates themselves are easy to install, look good as gates go and are made well.
Had a previous metal gate that never did work.

Wish I had these when my kids and grandkids were small. These gates would have made my life SO much easier. I bought these because I now have a GREAT grandson. I love them!!! He's just now learning to walk, but they kept him safe while he was crawling. Now I don't see him as often as I would like, but it's good to know I can corral him if necessary. :-)

I would recommend this
We use this gate in a large sitting/dining room opening of 155cm. It only just fits either side of the door frame. But it has been fabulous.
My dogs are not chewers. I have a miniature schnauzer who will not push past anything and a small chihuahua, who has luckily also not realized that he may be able to get past the gate when closed.
We use it to separate our living area from the dining area so that the dogs don’t damage the sofas/carpet in the night as the schnauzer used to scratch my carpet. (Or if they come in wet or dirty).
It was expensive, and my husband moaned when I bought it, but he now thinks it’s brilliant.
Easy to install, and easy to use, to open and close. It’s not got any marks on it In the many months since I bought it.
As long as your dog isn’t one that will chew anything in sight, it is great. I was worried about the possibility having read some other reviews. But this has not even entered my dogs heads. Thank goodness.

We purchased out Retract-A-Gate to hide a cat feed bowl and litter tray
We purchased our Retract-A-Gate to partition off the far end of our new kitchen to hide a cat feed bowl, litter tray and cat tower. Our cats can jump the Retract-A-Gate by landing on or launching from the cat tower, however our Cocker Spaniel dogs can't jump the Retract-A-Gate and eat the cat food or get in the litter tray. Retract-A-Gate was the only barrier that was long enough to span across our kitchen between the cupboard units. The Retract-A-gate can easily be retracted or removed to gain access to the cupboards behind. This has been a very successful purchase.

Buy this one and leave the rest! Why pass over the best?
This gate is excellent quality, and works perfectly. I bought it to go across a pair of patio doors. It locks when fully opened and locks when fully closed so cannot be opened by a small child. It also allows lots of light through so not dark and imposing for a little child. This is retractable but 100% safe and is by far the best type of gate I have used to protect children from getting outside by themselves. It also has the added advantage of having the extra width so fits even on non standard door widths. I can highly recommend this product and you will not be disappointed.
