Confusing Road Ahead? These smart kids don't come with instructions. I can help you figure out your options, whether that is discovering the best school fit, finding the right professional help, or accessing resources that will help you on your journey. My specialty is helping families find the root cause(s) of twice exceptionality (2e), which often go beyond the usual suspects and require a team approach - and are much more common than you think. We'll consider dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism, vision processing disorder (VPD), auditory processing disorder (APD), retained infant/primitive reflexes, occupational therapy, social skills coaching, neurodiversity affirming coaching, educational therapists/tutors, as well as how to seek help for medical conditions like sleep apnea, airway issues, PANDAS/PANS, Bartonella, mold exposure, etc. and many specialty medical providers with unique skills. We'll look more broadly at school options that range from public school general education, public school highly capable, traditional private schools, specialty/progressive private schools, one-on-one schools, online schools, community college, radical acceleration, parent partnership programs, and many flavors of homeschooling including ala carte private school, worldschooling, gameschooling, and unschooling. You have options! You just have to know where to look.

THE guru of all things 2e…

Austenia is THE guru of all things 2e in the greater Seattle area. I first became aware of her when my older child qualified for highly capable services. A local parent group hosted her presentation. I was blown away by not just the breadth of her knowledge but how much research she presented and all in a very accessible, down to earth fashion. I listen to her talks any chance I get and have hired her for consulting. Being a parent of a 2e student can be lonely and frustrating. The empowerment that comes from working with Austenia is life changing.

Amazing Resource for Struggling Parents

Austina is a wonderful resource for anyone trying to better understand and support their complicated gifted and 2e kids. She has a depth of understanding that is hard to find anywhere. On top of that, she is a genuinely good person and a pleasure to talk with. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
