They closed the business without…

They closed the business without letting clients know. We paid a subscription and they took the money without offering the entire service. I even had money in my account with them from a product they couldn't deliver. The shop in Barcelona is also gone, so no way to contact them.

Prices OK - Deficient customer service / Precios decentes - Atención al cliente deficiente

We contacted them about some bad products we'd received. They initially responded asking for photos (sent the next day) and since then we've not heard back from them. It's been 11 days since initial contact, and we've sent several emails, made several phone calls (leaving messages with colleagues as the support staff never seemed to be in) and the issue remains unsolved - in fact we've not even heard back from them.

Reclamamos unos productos en mal estado. Inicialmente respondieron pediendo fotos, que se enviaron al dia siguiente. Han pasado 11 dias desde la reclamación y no se han vuelto a poner en contacto. He intentando mandar varios correos y llamar por telefono, dejando varios mensajes - pero no dan señal de vida.

The products I could not find elsewhere in my area, and I ordered from Smarfooding, arrived very quickly, very well packed, and the price was reasonable.

Multiple Fraudulent attempts.

I made a purchase from this company on 17/01/2021, today on 16/02/2021, they have charged my card when I am not even trying to make any orders. They have attempted to steal 49 EUR, and they are still making multiple attempts but I have already stopped my card.

This might be an employee stealing customer data and committing fraud.

With your first order, we offered you our free 30-day trial period in your shopping cart, so that you can benefit from our prices and test our service. This offer can be removed from the shopping cart, leaving the possibility of buying the products at market prices.

Before confirming your order you had to agree to enter the club, and 7 days before the expiration of the 30-day period we sent you an email to remind you that the trial offer was ending and that without cancellation on your part they will be charged the 49 euros corresponding to the annual subscription. This is done automatically. You can cancel this trial period at any time from your customer account or simply by contacting us.

Dishonest company and poor product quality

I discovered this website in early January 2021, and liked the range of products, so I decided to place a fairly sizeable order, as the reviews seemed positive.
However, 80% of the products I received (sauerkraut & kimchi, all from the same brand, Vegetalia), were badly packaged as they opened VERY easily, which meant they were not hermetically sealed, and the products AND lids (on the inside) were discoloured due to oxidisation as a result of being exposed to air. The top part of the products was also dry due to this.

I asked for a refund, which they gave me, and I was grateful.

However, on February 4th, I woke up to find that they had charged me for their club membership, which I had never authorised. They stick it into your purchase list before check-out, trying to be sneaky with a 30-day free trial, but I had unchecked that box because I didn't want it, especially as it was stated that they would charge automatically when the 30 days were up.

Despite unchecking the box, I saw the free trial still appear on the final bill, as well as on the physical copy I received with the delivery. I figured it must have been a mistake, as I had opted out, and gave it no further thought.

To my GREAT surprise and fury, I saw €49 had been taken from my account today, and immediately went to investigate on the website, only to find out that I had actually had a free trial this entire time, though I had opted out upon checkout. The website said that they send a 7-day reminder, which I NEVER received, or I would have cancelled it immediately.

This was sneaky, dishonest, and incredibly misleading and I am LIVID. Never ever will I patronise this company ever again.
