STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!

Everything is wrong with this company. I had external wall insulation and they have installed it incorrectly. I have cold spots in my house now. Roof leaking. Down pipes leaking. Window sills not installed correctly. Vents have fallen off as not screwed in. Primer not used and the cowboys told me after they had rendered half the house that they have mixed it the render bucket. But me being the honest person that i am.,I didnt think they have a reason to lie.My job started in August 2023 and I've been trying to communicate with them but it's totally non existent. They don't like communicating through email as there would be a proper trail. They like to watsapp you and then this cant be used as evidence. And sending contractors to your house without no notification was there speciality. Having to wake up in the morning and seeing strange men on the scaffolding working on the property without my knowledge. I had to ask them to leave on 2 occasions. They have since sent 4 installers each covering the S#£% job the previous one did. I have had 4 different roofers as well and 3 inspectors. And I'm not even sure if any of them are legit. I was going to stay silent and see if I can resolve it but I have given them more than enough time so I have gone through trust mark and I'm on the 2nd stage atm with NCIEC. The next stage will be trading standards.if theybdont FIX UP. They know the amount of stress that I have to deal with me losing my Mom but they have no compassion what so ever. They also know that i have recently had a baby girl so me and my Mrs had to endure there symbolic and utter disregard of the customer. Having a baby can be very stressful on its own and being passed 40 years of age there are also other risks involved but did they care ?? Hell no. Phobbing me off from pillar to post. Management are non existent. Requested a call back 10 times and still havent had a call from the director. They think they are too high and mighty to make contact with the customer. Now I can't even go to another company because they have apparently already got there funding. One of the main selling points is the 25 years gaurantee. At this rate by the time they fix the issues the 25 years will be over. Guys please read these reviews before you even start to think of going to this company. Absolute shambles. STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE.

Avoid at all costs
My daughter had someone cold calling at her door , made a date for cavity wall insulation and no one every appeared
They have a Glasgow address and website but when you try the Glasgow number no one ever answers , there is also another number which diverts you to an English company stating they no longer have a company in Scotland since the last year ( strange the cold caller was at my daughters middle of August this year looks like they claiming government money for no works carried out and running
I myself have seen this so many times within the home improvement industry I will be reporting this moving forward

Avoid at all cost

On Friday 16th June 2023, 2 engineers come to fit my replacement boiler. To say they were unprofessional and useless. First of all they did not wear overshoes even though walking around my house. I did not mention anything at the time, as they were going be there for hours, I did not want to make things uncomfortable.

It was only after they left, I noticed the other issues. As it was a hot day, I went to water my front garden, I discovered they had left cigarette ends down the passageway between mine and my neighbour’s house. There were even more on my front lawn along with materials they had used. Those ends were not there before hand as I had watered it in the morning, and neither myself nor my neighbour smoke. Additionally, some ends were white which was the same type I witnessed one of them smoking.

Next, I noticed there was a black stain on my bed cover, which is silver, before I had the chance to take an image, I put the sheets into soak. Lucky enough the stain came out but the same could not be said about the hand towel which I had to throw away.

Later I noticed that they had installed a carbon monoxide detector, by screwing into my door frame. Not only did it look stupid, they did not even ask where I wanted it. It was clearly done as a rush so that they didn’t have to drill into my wall above the door frame. I have taken this down as it ruined the look of the door and had to fill the holes left.

I then had a look at the filter pipe they installed outside, to call the work shoddy was an understatement. They cut a square hole in the drainpipe to put in a round pipe.

I then got two of my friends who both work in the building trade come round. They were disgusted with the work to connect the filter to my drainpipe, they showed me a square hole had been cut to fit a round pipe and the installation foam to cover the pipe looked like a badly wrapped Christmas present. They have stated that the down pipe will need to be replaced as the rain would poor out and cause water damage. They stated that it should had been connected using a down pipe adapter see attached. Also, the cement they used round the pipe is 90% sand and is already crumbling.

They then sent someone out to fix the down pipe who did the best he could, but it still was not of a professional standard. In the end I had to get my friend to fix it which the company did pay him for.

Fast-forward to Monday 22 July 2024 due to a manufacture product recall notice, Ideal (boiler manufacture) came out to replace a part. Whilst replacing this part the engineer issues a Warning Notice for low gas pressure, due to the gas pipe being the incorrect size. He advised this should had been corrected at installation and has issues a do not use warning.

He contacted Smart Energy to advise them, that he had issued an invalid Gas Safety notice and a do not use warning. I had a call from Smart Energy to arrange for the part to be replaced, they arrange for an engineer to attend on Friday, but when they advised it was the original engineer, I refused and asked for someone else. I refused to have him attend due to him originally doing the installation wrong and signing a fraudulent safety notice and the unprofessional attitude when he originally attended. I was advised that they would call me back to arrange a different engineer to attend, I had to call them on the Wednesday to chase and was told I would get a call that day to arrange attendance. This call never happened, and I called again on the Thursday but had to leave a voicemail.

As of writing this I still not had a call from them, also I asked for a formal complaint to be raised which I have not been contacted about. Not only did they leave me unsafe boiler for a year, which for all I know could had been a fire hazard putting my life at risk. I am still without gas and have logged a complaint with the Gas Safety Register.

Do not use this company I had one of…

Do not use this company I had one of those free government boilers from them. When they came round to do a check I told them will it be alright has my pipes were old they told me a few times it will and I will have a nice warm home. They fitted the new boiler and I have had nothing but trouble. First they didn't adjust the toilet flow and when I flushed it after they had gone it flooded over flooded the bathroom . I have had lots of leaks under the sink . Taps leaking I've had to have all new taps and pipework in kitchen and bath. Radiator kept leaking came out a few times fixed it then next day leaking again after complaint they put new radiator on but that one leaks . Getting really pissed off with this company so phone again andtold them l wasn't happy and told them yet again about all the leaks plus the boiler doesn't even keep the house warm and l had a letter telling me that the boiler had a dangerous fault. Heathen said to me what do you expect you've got old pipes l said well you never said that when I asked then he put the phone down. Me and the citizens advice bureau have been trying to get this sorted with th but they refuse to answer us. I'm left with a bathroom not fit for purpose having to have things ripped out to dry it out and not having money to put it right. They are only bothered about getting thousands of pounds from the government. Do not use this company they need to be stopped damaging people property.

Non-stop blatant & ongoing lies, start to finish!

Appear to say whatever they have to, in order to get you to sign up with them...but then seem to have no intention of doing any of what they promise (or as little as they can, with what little they can get away with spending from the grant money they’ve applied for in your name). They’re reluctant to give you any concrete promises in writing via email etc...& even when they do, afterwards they just blatantly deny doing so (even when it’s in writing) & make up further lies (or try to blame you instead) to try to cover themselves! When they agree to go ahead with work promised, they try to make it look like it was a product you demanded (not one that they recommended), & then cite issues with this & demanding you have to sign disclaimers/ waivers they’ve written themselves to get you to agree that they will not be liable for ANYTHING (including ANY damage they cause to your property during & due to their work/ workmanship). As far as I know, they’re under investigation…which is likely why there are now reviews stating that they’ve run out of funding (i.e. so they can lie their way out of no longer being able to access funding, or so they can cease trading & walk away with the grant money they already have...& from unfinished jobs & issues they’ve created & aren’t prepared to accept any responsibility/ liability for!).

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid...

Do not touch them with a barge pole. They seem to dislike communicating by email. I still have not received a breakdown of works carried out. Only verbal communication they seen to like and even then its difficult to get any concrete answers. I got a new boiler fitted. No instructions were left. Also it took 4 visits to get my radiator thermostats working properly. A simple fix. Shambolic management and service.

My work was done through ECO4 scheme. I think they have literally grabbed government money and run!!!

Absolute hard sell targeting elderly people in rural villages ,canvassing at their doors in an unprofessional manner . The house could not have solar panels at all ,nor could it have air duct heating which I knew before the second meeting. Looks like the company have changed their name 3 times. Avoid this dodgy company . Such work as solar panels and air duct heating need regular maintenance which is more cost to your elderly relatives . Get Real
