Great experience, booked full day to be able to take it easy, two adult and children age 5 and 7. Brought own picknic... Very nice picnicareas along the way.

We're definitely recommending this activity. It was fabulous for the whole family (baby including). The service was nice, the track was cool, although it was shortened. Moreover, you have many opportunities to take a brake during the drive.

Super fun to do with the family. Customer Service like it has to be.

The service was great. Bikes were both full working and safely. The track is so nice, we will drive it again next time. We also saw an Elk who passed the woods beside the rails.

We took the route Hultsfred-Målilla. Signup one day before was easy and quick online. The staff helped us on our way quickly and we enjoyed a perfect day on the rails. Be prepared to have food and at least a liter of water for each person with you. On a moderately warm day it’s gonna be hot from cycling. The rest area by the lake is amazing - in the middle of nature and not accessible without the cycle draisines.

The restroom here is just an organic toilet and a bit high up - so short people may have trouble going to the bathroom here. But it’s possible to take a dip in the lake and rest for an hour before going back within the 4-hour window. The way back is going to be easier and faster as there are a lot of downhill stretches.

What a super nice family activity to do and explore Swedens beautiful nature! The trolleys are very steady and well maintained. We had so much fun on the trolleys. The scenery is very beautiful as you cycle along lakes, forrests and nice village's where you can picknick along the trail. There are more places in Sweden where you can ride a trolley, but we think this is the best place to do it!
Beware that the start from Virserum is a bit steep and it might take some energy to ride the trolley. But the way back you will be rewarded with an easy ride back to the old station of Virserum!

Rail trolley cycling from Virserum should be on everyone's bucket list. It was such a wonderful experience. The scenery along the rail line was exquisitely beautiful, and passed through lush forest and over lakes. We, 4 older adults with no experience, were very much impressed. The trolleys rolled along easily. Thank you to all the volunteers who keep them going so well. You gave us a gift we will talk about for many years to come.

We were lucky to get the dressincycle when we were there. We booked 2 bicycles, and got 2. Other families were not so lucky. In total 4 families had booked 2 dressincycles, but there were only 5 there. The person that hosted the dressins did not have a clear overview, and did not know who had how many dressins booked. They were clearly overbooked (something wrong with the website), and the host did not have a good overview. We were lucky, and had a great ride. One familie rode with 3 on one dressin. And one familiy arrived 15 minutes late, and had to wait 1.5 hours for the first to come back.

It was my second time to ride a dressin together with my wife in Virserum. As always it was a great experience out in the beautiful Swedish nature to cycle through the woods and along picturesque lakes! We even saw a moose crossing the rails some 50m before us. A memory I surely won't forget.
